A must-do food experience when in Cairo!
A tour with the perfect balance of food and cultural insight! Very local and unique experience as it's very difficult to find these spots and understand the nuances without the knowledge of someone like Magy. I highly recommend this tour but be sure to come on an empty stomach to appreciate and enjoy the variety of food on offer. Be wary of lack of information and refusal to refund when not allowed to go on tour because my wife’s dress was not deem
We never received the message that we needed to dress a certain way and were refused.we showed the guide we never received the message and the response was we needed WhatsApp which we don’t use. The information you provide in the booking is not shared with the operator. When I said I would be leaving a review warning people about this, the response was to tell me I was threatening them and I could have easily googled things in advance. When I pointed out that none of this is in the Trip Advisor booking info, they blamed it on trip Advisor not giving them enough space. Requests to get refunds refused. We have used trip advisor on 6 continents and for 20+ years and not had this trouble with an operator. The operator said that as an experienced traveler I should have been aware.

I would highly recommend this food tour with Mila to anyone visiting Cairo!
I had an incredible experience on this food tour in Cairo. Mila was knowledgeable, welcoming, and made the whole journey feel like we were exploring the city with a friend. We got to taste everything from traditional Egyptian breakfasts to delicious lunches, flavorful dinners, and even sweet pastries. Each stop was carefully chosen and gave us a real taste of Cairo’s culture and everyday life. I left not only full, but also with a deeper appreciation for Egyptian food and traditions. I would highly recommend this tour with Mila to anyone visiting Cairo!

Une occasion absolument fantastique d'avoir un aperçu de la vraie vie du Caire loin des touristes. Oubliez les visites guidées des sites touristiques. C'est une expérience incontournable. Beau guide et tant de plats délicieux que nous pourrions à peine manger une autre bouchée. Guidé par le petit déjeuner typique, le dîner, les plats de rue, les bonbons et les boissons. Expérience A++.

Absolute must do, excellent introduction to Egyptian food!
The photos are just a small sampling because I was too absorbed in the tour itself to take out my camera that often!
I wholeheartedly recommend this tour. My guide, Magy, was an absolute delight, extremely knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing her food and culture. She was also extremely accommodating: I booked the tour spontaneously after landing at the airport on my first day in Cairo, and she waited for me to arrive to start the tour.
I would strongly recommend booking this tour on one of your first few days in the city. You’ll get a good overview of what to eat for the rest of your trip!
Do come hungry! You’ll sample a LOT of delicious dishes, by the last few stops I was so full I couldn’t even eat dessert (but I did take some back to my hotel with me ;))
Do follow Magy’s recommendations and dress conservatively! You’ll be in a less touristic part of Cairo, so it’s important to be respectful.
If you do just one guided tour in Cairo, make it this one! :)

Best Culture & Food Tour in Cairo
Hands down the highlight of my solo trip to Cairo.
Magy was very knowledgeable and has curated an unbelievably delicious tour, where you are left without want (maybe only for a break! 😂). I felt safe and well guided wandering the local neighborhoods with her. I saw, tasted, and learned so much I never would have without her tour...
An added bonus was seeing how strong she was as a woman in Cairo, and listening to her tell stories of her experience growing up here.
Thank you Magy. The experience you've shared with us has influenced me in more ways that one. I appreciate what you've created and I'll be sure to tell anyone I know visiting Cairo this is a must do!

Wonderful tour!! Mila was so friendly and knowledgeable, we are so happy we found this tour. It was such a unique experience and we got to see a side of Giza that we never expected. I would do it all over again if I could. Thank you Mila for sharing such yummy food with us!!

Awesome tour in Cairo!
My food tour with The Amazing Tourist in Cairo was great.ll I loved the concept of regenerative tourism focus on! They help local shops and businesses, which is cool.
Every place we stopped at, from restaurants to small shops, offered a fantastic variety of delicious food and the local people we met were super friendly and welcoming. It was a really fun and tasty way to see real Cairo. Definitely recommend it!

Les mots ne peuvent pas décrire à quel point cette visite était incroyable. Comme d'autres l'ont dit viennent affamés il y a tellement de nourriture que vous pouvez à peine manger tout cela. Notre guide était si sympathique et c'était l'une de nos meilleures choses que nous avons faites en Egypte
