Memorable Nile cruise with an excellent Egyptologist guide
The travel agency was well organised — communication and pick-up coordination were smooth, and the cars provided were clean and comfortable. We had different drivers for shore excursions, but all were polite and pleasant.
The Steigenberger Minerva has a typical classic interior and spacious cabins. The crew were friendly. WiFi was very weak, and the buffet food was decent but not amazing.
What makes our tour memorable and interesting is our Egyptologist guide, Michael Edward. We were really lucky to have him!
He’s very knowledgeable about ancient Egyptian history and hieroglyphics, and the way he explained the scenes at the archaeological sites made them feel so alive!
We also learned so much about the Egyptian gods and kings over those four days. At first, we found it quite confusing to remember all the names and what each deity represented, but Michael was very patient in answering our questions and helped us make sense of it. It felt like a fun history class!
He’s also very caring and helpful. When my husband had a stomach upset during the cruise, Michael helped us get meds and checked in on us from time to time, which we really appreciated. At the end of the tour, he and the driver took us to our new accommodation on the West Bank to drop our luggage, and then dropped us at a restaurant for lunch before we said goodbye.
We had a really great 4 days touring with him and enjoyed chatting and sharing life experiences with him too. Big thumbs up to Michael!!!

Un voyage inoubliable à travers l'Égypte antique!
Si vous prévoyez un voyage à Louxor et Assouan, faites-vous plaisir et réservez Ahmed Sliem. Nous avons beaucoup voyagé, mais Ahmed se distingue vraiment comme l’un des guides les plus compétents, professionnels et les plus compétents que nous ayons jamais eus.
Voici une ventilation des raisons pour lesquelles notre visite a été si incroyable:
• Vallée des Rois: L’expertise d’Ahmed brillait vraiment ici. Au lieu de simplement montrer les murs, il nous a raconté les histoires derrière les pharaons et nous a aidés à naviguer vers les meilleures tombes pour éviter la foule massive.
• Temples Karnak & Louxor: L'ampleur de ces sites peut être écrasante, mais Ahmed a décomposé l'histoire et l'architecture d'une manière attrayante et facile à suivre. Il connaît tous les meilleurs spots "secrets" pour les photos où il n'y a pas une centaine de personnes en arrière-plan !
• Philae Temple: Même après une longue journée d'exploration, Ahmed a gardé l'énergie élevée. Sa passion pour la mythologie égyptienne rendait la promenade en bateau et la visite du temple vraiment magiques.
Pourquoi Ahmed ?
Au-delà de ses connaissances historiques approfondies (qui sont encyclopédiques, d'ailleurs) , Ahmed est juste une personne formidable avec qui passer la journée. Il était incroyablement patient avec nos questions sans fin, s'est assuré que nous avions toujours de l'eau et de l'ombre, et a géré toute la logistique de manière transparente afin que nous puissions simplement nous détendre et tremper tout cela.

Amazing cruise trip Aswan-Luxor

All steps were well arranged, from booking to payment, program, reservations, everything was ready for us when we arrived & met our expectations
We had an amazing 4 days with Mahmoud Masry—one of the best guides we’ve ever had.
He is Knowledgeable in history & culture, explains clearly, Friendly & Punctual, he helped us to organise further visits during our stay.
Highly recommended to anyone visiting Egypt.

A great and informative tour of all the ancient sites along the nile with a real gem of a guide.
Highly recommend this tour company, it was simple to book and everything was explained before hand. The itinerary covered all the major sights and the boat and main trips were very enjoyable. We only went on a few of the optional tours but these were very enjoyable as well. The real star of the show was Michael Edward, our guide. A really friendly funny genuine guy. He made sure everything went smoothly with us and nothing was too small or too big of an issue for him to sort for us. You can really feel the passion and pride that he has in teaching others about ancient egypt. He is clearly very knowledgeable on the subject and his humour made the history lessons very enjoyable. He felt like a friend explaining it rather than a tour guide. Easily the best guide we have had in Egypt and the best I've had world wide. As we would say in Ireland, he is great craic!

Well planned trip. Very intense trip except when the boat is sailing. Excellent tour guides in both Cairo and the Nile cruise. L & A planned our entire trip - Cairo, Nile Cruise & Jordon. Hany takes great care you in the airport and is very responsive to your requests.

Best tour ever!
We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide and companion than the experienced Egyptologist, Ashraf Al-Raafey! He told us these incredible stories that brought the whole place to life and helped us understand how the Ancient Egyptians lived and what they believed in. He also managed the pace perfectly, allowing us plenty of free time to explore and take pictures.
On top of that, he is a wonderful person. Professional and patient, but also incredibly warm and fun. He answered every question we had and made sure we left Egypt with the best memories. We couldn't recommend him more highly!!

Exactly the type of travel agency you want!
I cannot recommend this travel agency enough! We used them on a 4-day cruise from Aswan to Luxor and they continued to exceed expectations every step of the way.
They were communicative, friendly, and flexible with our changing travel schedules.
Beyond that, our tour guide, Ahmed Sliem, was a highlight of the trip. He is eloquent, funny, and incredibly knowledgable. It makes such a difference having an Egyptologist like him on your visits. 10 out of 10!

Such a wonderful Nile cruise experience. You could really feel how much the guide cared, from the explanations to the lovely photo spots along the way. The food had plenty of options and was very enjoyable, and the crew was always smiling, kind, and helpful. It truly felt like a special. Highly recommended.

Mo! Best Guide in Egypt
Upon arrival in Aswan, was paired with Mo. The friendliest, most knowledgeable person to guide you and navigate you through the sites. He has over 20 years doing this and everyone knows him across the cities and sites. So glad to have been paired up with him on the journey. Added the hot air balloon as well, an excursion, you cant miss.

Cruising into 2026
Excellent experience. Our guide Mahmoud Masry really made the tours off the ship easy and interesting as he effortlessly got us where we needed to be and introduced us to Egypt. Friendly professional staff on the ship, comfortable accommodation great service and good food. Only downside was WIFI onboard never worked properly
