Even during a pandemic we were able to have an amazing trip. They made sure all the t’s were crossed and the i’s were dotted. Mohammed Badwy was incredible. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. Made the experience come to life.

Had a four day tour of Aswan, Luxor and all of the sites between with three nights on a Nile cruise boat. Had a fantastic time and it was a nice balance of relaxing on the roof of the ship reading a book (Death on the Nile of course) watching the scenes go by, along with trips to temples and ruins to understand the historical context. Saw multiple tombs, temples and sites and each one was very memorable, and there would be no way to see all of these locations without a tour. My guide Hassan was very friendly extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer every question I had about the sites, as well as generally about Egyptian history. He also helped me with all of the logistics of arranging my bus onwards from Luxor and everything to help my trip. The cruise boat was very comfortable with a nice room and good food every meal.

The booking and administration was smooth and efficient. We did a 3 night four day cruise on the MS Premium from Luxor to Aswan. The cruise ship was deluxe class and the accommodation was excellent, food delicious with many choices and the ship modern and super clean. The cruising was superb with beautiful nile river scenery on a ship that was luxury all over. The tours to the Egyptian ancient sites were wonderful, made so by our guide Mohamed who was so helpful, knowledgeable and passionate about the history. I would truly recommend this trip, nothing was left to chance and we were well informed and professionally managed throughout giving us maximum enjoyment. A truly great experience. Regards Mark

As an American family who had never been to Eygpt we could not have asked for a better experience. We were nervous about the cruise but every detail of the trip was flawless from the minute we were met at the airport in Aswan until we were dropped off at the check in counter at the Luxor airport. Our guide Ismail was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Hany, our Reservation Manager answered all of my questions before the trip. During the cruise he was available 24/7 which was critical because COVID was ramping up and travel restrictions were starting. The cruise ship was very clean and top notch (five star). The food and service were excellent. We felt safe on the cruise ship, during our tours and transfers. I cannot recommend this trip enough! If you are going to Eygpt....Book your trip with Hany at LUXOR AND ASWAN TRAVEL! Ask for Ismail to be your guide! I GUARANTEE IT WILL BE A TRIP OF A LIFETIME

What a wonderful unforgetable experience. I travelled on my own throughout Egypt and this cruise down the nile was a highlight. New Years Eve in Luxor, fireworks, and waking up and history was so close it was almost touchable. The Nile is awash with vibrancy, tradition dating back hundreds of years, family life, sailing boats, cruise ships, donkeys, farming and peacefulness. I wish one day to return and do it again. Book and you will not be disappointed.

Instead of reviewing the cruise I would like to review the agency which stepped-up big time when a crisis struck. Hany El Dosouki, Reservation Manager at Luxor & Aswan Travel, provided outstanding service when the Egyptian government announced that all foreigners had to leave the country by 2 p.m. on March 19th when all flights would cease. This occurred on the first afternoon of our cruise (March 17th) while we were still docked in Aswan but out on a tour with our guide. This is our story and how Hany helped us to see as much as possible and still get us home: Hany was the only one to notify us of the government's mandate. He contacted our guide who relayed the information to us. Of note is that our vacation was not supposed to conclude until March 26. After Luxor we were supposed to spend some time at the Red Sea and fly back to Cairo from Marsa Alam but that flight and our return flight to the United States (all on EgyptAir) were canceled. We tried to contact EgyptAir but were unsuccessful. Hany arranged, at no extra charge, for a driver to pick us up from the cruise ship and take us to the EgyptAir office in Aswan as soon as they opened the next morning. He also sent a representative to help us speak with the EgyptAir agent. Unfortunately there were no seats available to Cairo nor seats from Cairo to JFK. We were waitlisted. We called the US Embassy - they were not able to provide any help. Family members back home were also trying to find us flights out on other airlines. We called Hany back and he sprung into action. He advised us not to use certain airlines (that family members had found) as he knew which countries were likely to close their borders before we left and he was right. He booked us flights to Cairo from Luxor and found flights back to JFK via Rome on the 19th. At first we were apprehensive to fly through Rome but as it turned out, the airport was deserted and the flight was 1/4 full so there was plenty of space between passengers. All passengers were required to wear masks. That afternoon we sailed to Kom Ombo on the cruise. The next morning (March 18) Hany arranged for us and our guide to be picked up after our 6:30 a.m. tour of Edfu and we were driven to Luxor in a little over an hour instead of arriving much later in the afternoon via the cruise. We were able to buy our Luxor premium pass and see five tombs at the Valley of the Kings (including KV 9, 11 and 62), visit Hatshepsut's Temple and see Nefertari's tomb at the Valley of the Queens and the Colossi of Memnon before stopping for a late lunch in Luxor (no extra charge for lunch.) After that we went to Karnak and Luxor Temples, returning to the cruise ship at about 6:30 p.m. It was a whirlwind day but we got to see almost everything we had wanted to see. We had dinner on the cruise ship, packed and then Hany sent a driver and rep to take us to the Luxor airport to make sure everything went smoothly. He also provided face masks and hand sanitizer. Just after midnight we flew to Cairo where Hany had arranged for a rep to meet us and to make sure we transferred to the correct terminal for our flight to Rome - all at no extra charge! What is extraordinary about what Hany did is that he helped us get home even though we only booked the cruise through his agency. He also called us several times throughout the ordeal to see if we were okay. So, if you are looking for a cruise, I highly recommend you book with Hany. In fact, I recommend you use Luxor and Aswan Travel to book your flights and tours too. The guide Hany provided for visiting the sights along the cruise was excellent. So please consider this outstanding company when travel to Egypt resumes. Hany will take good care of you!

I went with my friend and mother, and the trip was a breeze. It included airport pick up and drop off, visits to the many temples with a qualified Egyptologist that taught us a lot and of course the cruise itself was an incredible experience. Even though we booked the trip very last minute Mr. Hany and the rest of the staff were very accommodating. I would recommend this to everyone!

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night cruise aboard MS Salina organised by Hany from Luxor and Aswan travel. Pick up from the airport, all transfers and the ship itself were great. The boat was small with only 20-25 rooms (just what we were after), the staff all very kind and friendly and the food was delicious. The best part of our tour was our guide, George. We had a great few days with George and learnt so much. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his job. He went out of his way to make sure we got the most out of our trip and every single place we visited. We would highly recommend him as a guide.
