Lo que verás

  1. Valley of the Kings
    2 horas

C. (aproximadamente 1479-1458 a. C.).

C. (aproximadamente 1350-1334 a. C.).

Breathtaking and insightful

The experience is amazing! My mother and I had Abdo as our guide, he was very kind and patient. He gave us ample time to explore and take pictures as well as give us insightful information about what we were seeing. We suggest viewing the additional tombs for the additional fee, they were breath taking! Hatshepsut temple was my personal favorite due to its size and preservation.

Excellent guide

Mahmoud was a great guide who made our day around all the sights very easy. He was on time, great to communicate with and even went the extra mile bringing us refreshments on a hot day! Highly recommend!

Very nice and informative tour for two

We really enjoyed the tour organised for us by Mohamed Awad. He picked us up from the hotel and drove through the city describing the tour plan and sites we were passing by. After we visited three locations: Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut temple on Memnon Colossus. He walked us through all the details and told a lot of interesting facts. After the excursion we visited local shop but buying was not necessary, no one pressured us to, so we decided not to buy anything and that was totally okay. After that returned us to the hotel. Overall, it was very pleasant tour, thanks to Mohammad Awad!

Outstanding Guide - Truly Priceless Experience!

My guide Abdelwahab’s knowledge of Egyptian history was extraordinary. He provided excellent explanations at every site, bringing the ancient world to life with vivid detail and context. The vehicle was brand new and very comfortable, which made the entire experience even better. Every moment was invaluable, and I learned so much more than I ever could have imagined. Time incredibly well spent with Abdelwahab - highly recommend!

A perfectly paced and thoughtful tour with Barry

We had a really wonderful day visiting the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon with our guide, Barry. The morning started off seamlessly with a prompt hotel pickup, and Barry joined us en route as we headed toward the West Bank. What we loved most about Barry was his practiced ease. You can tell he has been guiding for a long time. He has a very calm, deliberate way of sharing history; he doesn't overwhelm you with facts, but instead points out specific details in the tombs and temples that really help you connect the images to what life was like back then. It was great to have that extra bit of time to actually process what we were seeing. I was also so impressed by how thoughtful he was with my elderly mother. She has some mobility issues, and Barry was incredibly patient, making sure she felt supported and taken care of at every site. If you’re planning your trip, it’s worth noting that the crowds can vary a lot. We went on a Friday morning and it was quite busy, whereas a previous Wednesday afternoon visit was much quieter. Since the January weather is so pleasant, an afternoon tour is a great way to avoid the rush. Barry was a total professional from start to finish. There was no pressure for unscheduled stops, and he stuck exactly to the itinerary we wanted. If you’re looking for a guide who is patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely considerate, Barry is an excellent choice.

Detailed History Tour with an Expert Guide

We booked a day with Egypt Lovely Tours and were really impressed with the professionalism. Our guide, Mena Gamill, and our driver arrived at our hotel exactly on time. The highlight was definitely Mena’s knowledge. On the drive to the Valley of the Kings, he gave us a fascinating, detailed breakdown of Egypt through the ages, covering not just history, but geography, politics, and how the economy has evolved up to today. He was incredibly well-prepared and organised throughout. At the Valley of the Kings, since guides stay outside, Mena walked us through the stories of the tombs before we went in. We saw the tombs of Ramesses III, IV, and IX, and paid the extra for the Seti I tomb which I’d highly recommend doing. Having Mena’s context before entering made a huge difference; you get so much more out of the experience with a guide of his caliber. The tour is excellent value, though I’d recommend re-confirming your specific stops with him at the start. He had planned an unscheduled stop at an alabaster factory, which would have cut into our time for the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. As it happened, I was travelling with my elderly mother who has mobility issues and she was exhausted after the tombs anyway, so we chose to head back to the hotel early. Mena was very professional and accommodated our need to end the day there. If you want a deep, intellectual dive into Egyptian history, he is an excellent choice.

Don't hesitate to book

Our tour guide Abdelwahab was so knowledgeable regarding our tour to the Valley of the Kings. The whole experience was absolutely incredible from beginning to end. He arrived in a private car ready to inform us on our journey of all the background information necessary before we arrived. The plus side was because he works for several British holiday companies the staff at the sites knew him well which meant we didn't have to wait to access anything and we skipped the line. Our time looking around was full of unimaginable aspects including his knowledge of hieroglyphics. His English was incredible and we're so glad we had him with us to explain everything as for sure you'll miss out on a lot of nuanced information if you go on your own. We wanted to adopt him but sadly Egypt can't manage without his wisdom.
