Michael Edward was an incredible guide throughout our tour from Aswan to Luxor. He was warm, kind, approachable, and made us feel completely comfortable from the very beginning — as if we had known him for years. Thanks to his deep knowledge, every visit to the temples and historical sites became a truly enriching experience.
He made sure everything was perfectly organized at all times and handled every request we had with great care and diligence. Without a doubt, he is highly recommended, and his presence significantly enhanced our entire experience. I have no doubt that he must be one of the best guides in Egypt.

Viaje increíble, un imprescindible.
Esta es la segunda parte de la reseña, después de terminar en El Cairo y Alejandría, la compañía nos voló a Asuán para comenzar nuestro crucero por el río Nilo.
¡Tuvimos un tiempo increíble en nuestro viaje! Solo un aviso: puede ser un poco agotador para el cuerpo debido a los inicios tempranos, pero vale la pena para evitar las multitudes y el calor del sur de Egipto. Nuestro guía, George Edward, fue lo más destacado del viaje. Manejó toda la logística del crucero por el Nilo a la perfección y siempre nos dio un plan claro para el día siguiente.

Mejor guía turístico en Egipto... tal vez el mundo
Esta fue una de las mejores experiencias que tuvimos en una visita guiada. Hemos visitado Egipto varias veces y hemos hecho los tres cruceros diferentes por el Nilo. Éste fue por mucho el mejor. Y es gracias a nuestro guía turístico Michael Edward. Él es tan conocedor, gracioso y amable. Hizo de cada visita al templo un evento animado y personal. Te sientes como si fueras un miembro de su familia desde el primer día. Y cuando era hora de terminar nuestro crucero, todos estábamos muy tristes de dejarlo.

From the moment we met him, it was clear we were in the hands of someone not only intelligent and highly educated, but effortlessly charming and genuinely funny—the kind of person who makes long days of exploring feel like time spent with a very knowledgeable friend. His depth of understanding of Egyptian history is remarkable, and his ability to read and explain hieroglyphics adds a whole extra layer of awe to every site you visit.
Traveling with Michael along the Nile was an experience in itself. He stayed with us throughout the cruise, seamlessly guiding us from one incredible stop to the next while making everything feel easy and well-paced. Beyond the history, he was invaluable in all the ways you don’t always think about—helping us find fantastic local spots to eat and navigating the art of local negotiations with ease and good humor.

Most amazing tour guide ever - Michael Edward
If you’re thinking about a Nile cruise—do it. And if you get the chance to have Michael Edward as your guide, congratulations, you’ve already won the lottery.
We’ve been traveling for over 30 years, across more countries than we can count (and with more tour guides than we care to admit), and Michael is hands-down the best we’ve ever had. Not even close.
His knowledge is unreal—like having a walking, talking Egyptology encyclopedia, but one that’s actually fun at dinner. He somehow manages to make thousands of years of history feel alive, effortless, and genuinely fascinating (yes, even in the heat). Every temple, tomb, and ruin came with stories, context, and little details you’d never pick up on your own.
But what really sets him apart is the way he takes care of you. Everything just… works. Seamless timing, zero stress, and the feeling that someone has thought of absolutely everything before you even realize you need it. Add to that his warmth, humor, and ability to make everyone feel like part of the group, and you’ve got something pretty special.

Un viaje para recordar
Si reservas algún tour, ¡hazlo este! Desde el momento en que nuestro avión aterrizó en el aeropuerto de Asuán, nos cuidaron. Nuestro guía privado, Mahmoud, pasó los siguientes cuatro días a nuestro lado, compartiendo su riqueza de conocimientos en cada templo y punto de referencia que visitamos. Incredible experience on the Nile!
My wife and I sailed on the Jaz Viceroy from Aswan to Luxor for three nights as part of our honeymoon trip to Egypt. We booked with Luxor and Aswan Travel, and had an outstanding experience. During the booking process, the company answered all our questions and planned everything seamlessly. The itinerary and attention to detail were perfect every step of the way, and our boat was beautiful and luxurious. Most of all, our private guide Ashraf made our trip so memorable and wonderful - he was extremely knowledgeable about Egyptian history and made our visit to every sight absolutely magical. He was so kind, friendly, professional, and thoughtful, accommodating our requests and making each day special. We enjoyed every single day with his our guide! We highly recommend Luxor and Aswan travel, and Ashraf as a guide!
