Beginning with a pickup from your hotel or another designated place in Cairo or Giza between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, we will be boarding a comfortable air-conditioned car for a pleasant 100-minute journey to the Wadi El Rayan Desert following a photo stop at Qarun Lake, considered the oldest natural lake in the world.
Continuing the journey, you shall experience the exhilaration of a desert adventure. After boarding the 4X4 car for a dune drive adventure, enjoy the thrill of gliding over yellow, soft sand before stopping to enjoy sandboarding. Next, you visit the Wadi El Rayan waterfalls and have the chance to admire the stunning views in the center of the desert. You also have the opportunity to enjoy a camel ride or horse ride along the banks of Wadi El Rayan Lake. If you're lucky, you could see some desert animals, such as the slender-horned gazelle, before stopping to photograph the stunning Mudawara Mountains for panoramic views of Wadi El Rayan Lake. Long day, activities worth it. Guide Rayan and drivers excellent. Guide engaging, knowledgeable and personal. Off-roading was a lot of fun as was sand boarding.

The trail between the lakes and the desert, the 4x4 run in the sand dunes, the magical lake, the waterfalls, the camel ride, the place where we drank coffee, the place where we ate, and all with the help, courtesy and hospitality of the people, the drivers and especially the guide Ramy. Ryan was very informative about Egypt . The history, the culture, and landscape. We rode camels, sqam in the magic lake, sand surfing, ate a private lunch at a Bedwin camp in Fyaum, as well as took millions of photos of the vast sand dunes, beaches, waterfalls, etc. At the end of the tour, we had some time left, so he took us to some prime private shops to purchase perfumes & oils, papyruse, and gold jewelry, including a private shopping spree at the jeweler (because he had already closed for the day, but agreed to open for us after hours!) Ryan was happy to help us in any way, including showing us how to correctly wrap and tie a scarf around our head to keep sun & wind off of our skin. This was one of the most personal tours we have taken, and it demonstrated how Ryan was just happy to make our Egyptian vacation the most memorable possible. ❤️

Excellent, authentic tour with amazing service. Our tour guide Fares was very knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. He made us feel comfortable, safe and more than anything he made sure we had the best time. I haven’t been on a tour anywhere in the world that was this organised with such enthusiastic and friendly guides. They take amazing pictures as well! The activities were structured and planned well in advance. For example they take you to sand board first because the sand becomes too hot later in the day. Every little detail is taken care of. The food was well-prepared and tasted great. If you want to get out of Cairo please do this tour!

Perfect daytrip. The experience included: - pickup at hotel - stop in a rural town for a delicious falafel meal and lots of water for the day (included) - stop in a rural village where some other guys met up with the 4x4 jeeps - entering Fayoum national park (extra 5 $) - stop by the Wadi El Rayan lake for some rest, watching the waterfall and camel ride - 4x4 safari with the jeep in the sand dunes - sand surfing - stop by "Magic Lake" for a swim. Water was clean and it was very refreshing in the heat - Lunch in a house close to Magic Lake - Heading home. Fantastic day for a good price. Nice, hospitable guides and we also got to spend the day with a nice family from Canada. Highly recommend this eperience if you are in Cairo for a few days and want to escape the city for one day.
