Amazing experience in the white desert! It was a great tour and fantastically organised and coordinated by our guide Mohamed Italiano! He was taking care of us and speaks a perfect Spanish. Totally recommended.

Very nice tour to the beautiful desert. Guide Hamad Sayed was very friendly and took a lot of photos of us, even climbed the mountains with me. Drivers Mido Ashour and Ahmed Samir were professionals, so we felt safe and even could take some nap in the morning trip to the desert. Driver stopped at the desert whenever we wanted and we had enough time for everything. Very good tour overall.

The tour experience was negatively impacted by very poor coordination between Sun Pyramid Tours and the local operator. – we arrived early to Bahariya, only to wait at the compaund with nothing to do/see until nearly noon, then a rushed drive to get to White Desert and back to the oasis before dark… Both drivers (to/from Cairo & in the desert) were EXCELLENT, doing their very best, but the tour itinerary, as advertised, takes at least six hours in Bahariya/White Dessert to complete in best circumstances, and with the late start in Bahariya we had less than five hours available. No one was really in charge. The guide (otherwise a very nice young man) did not seem to have yet much experience with the area, so he could not help navigating the tight schedule. Food – nice kebab, the rest mediocre, there must be better choices at Bahariya – which I did not get the chance to see AT ALL besides the local tour company compound. Also, “exploring” Black Desert = only a five-minute stop, and no time left to see El Hez village. In summary the White Desert is well worh of a day visit, but Sun Pyramid Tours does not have the professional competence to organize and execute what has been promised - just pocketed the commission and dropped the ball. When I complained, I was promised an explanation, none has arrived despite reminders. Go, but book the tour elsewhere.

I can only advise you to take this excursion. But above all, I wish you one thing: to have Abdullah as your guide. He made us live a magical moment that we will never forget. Frst of all spectacular landscape on the white and black desert, a lot of fun on sandboard, uncredible sky at night time. Our jeep driver did amaizing job. He gave us the best drive, made a great dinner, prepared a camp, he did everything by himself. Camp was basic and very simple but it was a great experience. You should be prepare for cold night and no facilites. The weakness piont of this tour was our guide. He was sleeping during the both ways to Cairo all the time, on the way to desert as well. He seems very bored and tried to avoid the contact. Small thing but he gave us a tent with broken zip so we could not to close it and it was very cold at night at the same time the guide chose for himself the perfect tent. I was thinking we didn't need the guide at all becouse all job was done by the jeep driver. Don't expect too much from the hot and cold springs, this place is more to show you desert springs than a place for bathing or swimming. I did only 4 stars becouse of the guide.

It turns out that in my initial contact with Mrs. Sara, I explained the same who was making the contact for having seen on the Enterprise website that offered a day trip to the desert. As my whole trip was already agreed with another Enterprise that only made the desert in 2 days and we only had 1 day to make the tour. I received the roadmap (annex) and we also talked about the fulfillment of the entire planned roadmap (annex our conversation) and the need to anticipate the contract for requesting entry into the park to the competent authorities (I was informed to be unnecessary). All right we made the payment 332,00 USD which we thought was a fair cost for a day tour. On 28/10/25 as agreed the guide found us at the hotel and we departed to the desert. The car that carried us was not very comfortable but met our need. During the journey we noticed that the guide was inexperienced, with a little active posture but we disregarded. We arrived at a village for a typical breakfast and until it was all over we left in a more advanced time. We entered a 4x4 in very poor state of conservation (there was no air conditioning, the windows if opened did not close again). We continued the journey and realized that the guide did not tell us anything about the area and its attractions (I asked, for example, what the difference between the forming substance of the white and black desert and the answer was “one is black and another is white”). We followed to a certain area near where the sandboard is made and before reaching the top the car stuck in the sand. We stayed for about 1h and 40 min standing, very hot, I stood under a rock in the shadow while the driver tried in vain to solve the problem. None of the cars that passed by there stopped until my son and nephew went to help the driver while the guide remained in the shade with me. I asked if he should not contact the agency or other help and the answer was “the driver will solve”. After a long time stopped another car with Chilean tourists and they were with the driver and my son and nephew who managed to solve the problem. We followed the journey and when we arrived at the Crystal Mountain again we stopped for the driver to change the tire. After so much trouble and the time ahead we decided to just pass through the black desert for a few photos and continue to “thermal waters” (as planned in the script) for a relaxing bath. Total mistake, the place we stopped was wasted without anything but a cement box with a dirty, stinking water coming out of a rusted hose. We became indignant and began to question what it was and only the driver speaking in Arabic told the guide that he was there. Faced with the complete ignorance of the guide we used up to google maps to show where the location would be and nothing was resolved. I asked the guide if he knew the place he said no to and that it was the first time I was going to do this script. Extremely bored we returned to the village and we did not accept to eat (lunch at 18:00) we just wanted to go back to Cairo. We waited for the guide to pray and we departed back with the driver always entering adjacent roads avoiding the main road. From there follows my considerations: - We expected a guide with knowledge of his work, because we felt at the mercy of the driver with whom I did not have a contract and insisted on saying that I had contracted it. Meanwhile, the guide slept, spoke to his cell phone and took a selfie during the ride. - There was no rescue action and the passengers had to go dig to help the driver while the guide was in the shade. - A 4x4 car in poor state of conservation - Observing the script I ask: Where is the village of El Hez where the rejuvenating waters of the cold springs awaited us¿ Where are the hot and cold springs of the region¿ What is the name of the tourist attraction of the place where the driver took us¿ - We later asked several Egyptians and no one knew what that place we stopped for such a relaxing bath and all confirmed that there was definitely not the right place. - Still could report some irregular situations that we noticed, however as I cannot prove I prefer to abstain.

We had an incredibly nice day tour. The drive from Cairo/Gizeh was very long but it was definitely worth it. Communication was already very good before the trip and we were given all important information independently. On the day of the excursion we were picked up from the hotel on time at the agreed time. Our guide Mostafa was very friendly and accommodating. He provided us with water throughout and has been able to answer all our questions in good German. We got along great with him 🥰 Also our drivers were both very friendly and stopped for photo requests 😊 Our absolute highlight was that we were allowed to sit on the roof of the car in the desert and had a completely different view from there 🤩🤩🤩🤩 It was an incredible, extraordinary trip with lots of great people and great experiences. This trip made our Egypt holiday even more special 🤩

I enjoy the day tour so much at the last day of September. The car is so comfortable and reach the hotel picking us up on time. The tour guide is so nice and explains the schedule so well. Even we have to catch the flight at the midnight and want the tour finished earlier than scheduled, our guide is so willing to help and arrange the way back to our hotel at the expected time. This tour to the desert surprised us so much especially the white desert. The rocks look exactly like ice cream and overall this is a very special experience.

Trip is fun..but very tiring.. each and every dessert is mesmerizing. It is longer than the time it says ... but super fun ride. They also take us to bedouin village where you'll have breakfast and lunch.. super fun experience
