Pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, Travel to Alexandria. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit President Sadat Museum and visit the open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. Our guide will explain the design of the library from outside, you will have a chance for some photo stops. Note: Alexandria library is closed on Fridays ,Saturdays & in public holidays. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket.
Visiting the insides of the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock
You will also drive by Pompay's Pillar and stop for a photo stop, (it was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century)
We will walk by the excavation site of the Old Roman City of Alexandria, including Roman villas, the Amphitheater Ruins, Alexandria's Great Tomb excavation site, and various ruins. Please note that we will not be visiting the interior of these sites but will enjoy an external view while our guide shares insights into their historical significance.

Continue your tour by passing through the oldest market area in Mansheya and see the traditional womens’ markets (zan’et etsetat) with very thin and narrow streets, gold market also exists here where everyone buys their wedding and engagement jewellery.

The car will then transport you to the most beautiful and largest mosque in the city, allowing for a photo stop at the Abbo Elabbas Mosque.Walk by the oldest funfair in Egypt
Opposite is the corniche and the old harbour where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken here are amazing. Continue to see the outside of Quaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of ancient world . A most spectacular castle which is a great photo stop.
Once in Montaza Gardens, commonly known as the Love Garden (all romantic couples and families go there) you will visit the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as walk along the famous Montaza bridge and reach the Tea Palace island and see the royal beaches of the queens. Then travel in comfort back to your hotel in Cairo.

We did the Alexandria Archaeological Day Tour. Our guide Macy was wonderful - she is very knowledgeable and is also very accommodating (she gave us extra breaks from walking)! Our driver Ahmed was very courteous and got us safely to all of our stops.

198 euros for an excursion contracted with a guide in Spanish. They pick us up at 6.30 in the morning. We arrived at 11.00 and the guide is in English. We dispute that the visit is in Spanish. I contact viator and confirm that it is in Spanish. The guide laughs at us. Viator asks me what the guide's name is, he tells me that edie Murphy and that since my daughter speaks a little English that she better practice that way. For 44 euros we would have done the same. A driver who will take us to the site and inform us by Google what we did and yet we pay 198 euros. The visit itself, they take you you get the picture and the van except in the catacombs and gardens. I don’t think it’s worth the car hours and of course the subcontractor’s lack of professionalism leaves a lot to be desired. They promote xon viator that have guides in Spanish and according to the guide we had there is no such guide. Then I read in comments here that it has happened to more people.

This tour was a good way to go to Alexandria for the day from Cairo. Like other reviews said, it was a bit surface level on all of the stops, but it was a good highlight of different spots around the city.

Mohamed was a great guide, very knowledgeable about everything in Alexandria. This tour is the best way to see all of the sites in a short amount of time!

I wouldn't really recommend this tour, but I have to give props to our guide. He was super knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable with all his info about Alexandria. Honestly, he was the highlight of the tour, and I’d give him and the driver five stars. That said, the organization of the tour was pretty off. We didn’t get to visit all the spots listed, even some we were really looking forward to seeing. We did learn some history, but there wasn’t enough time to explore more everything. They need to improve their organization. Also, the food at the restaurant made my husband sick, and it wasn't very clean either. If you choose to book this tour, please ask your guides to adhere to the plan as listed and ensure you will be able to visit all sites. Be prepared for a long day of driving in an uncomfortable minivan.

Our guide Paula gave us an excellent tour of the new GEM The Grand Egyptian Museum. Such an impressive museum, which shows only originals of this unique high culture. Very nicely presented and most impressive are the treasures of Tutankhamun, which have never been exhibited before. Paula and his driver Ahmed did a first-class job, I can only recommend. 5 stars for the museum, Paula and Ahmed.

We had an incredible experience exploring Alexandria with our tour guide Mohamed! From the very beginning, he was warm, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the city’s rich history and culture. He guided us through the ancient sites, the beautiful coastline, and hidden local spots that we would never have discovered on our own. His storytelling made places like the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, the Citadel of Qaitbay, and the Library of Alexandria come alive. He also went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout the day offering great local food recommendations and helping us navigate the busy areas with ease. We truly appreciated his passion for sharing the history of Alexandria and his attention to detail. It turned our visit into an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting this stunning city!

You know what they say that the best experiences are the ones you don't plan? So this was exactly one of them. I saw the possibility of a day trip to the amazing places of Alexandria and bought it. It was one of the best experiences I could get. Great, clean car, great driver who knows way around and handles local traffic. The guide Mahmoud was absolutely great. Perfect English, knowledge better than a professor at the university. He was able to answer all my questions and he is also an incredibly amazing and helpful guy with a sense of humor. But what I appreciate the most was his patience and willingness to help. One of the best experiences, much better than I expected. The next time I'm here, I'll definitely be happy to repeat this experience.

We did the tour about Alexandria with the guide Norhan and our driver was Essam. We were really happy to have them with us. Norhan is very intelligent, helpful and kind person. She showed us in one day the most interesting places and sites of this turbulent and magnificent city and told us much interesting about history, culture and moden development of Alexandria. Essam is a great driver, very careful and exact. Norhan also took care about my older mum. The tour and the team are absolutely recommendable.
