Magy took us to a part of Cairo we would never have experienced. I didn’t see any other tourists and we were immersed in local life. The range and quantity of food was plentiful. We sampled so many different dishes. Magy was an excellent guide, giving insight into life in Cairo. Be aware. There is a lot of food. Don’t eat beforehand! And save space for the excellent desserts at the end.

Magy took us on a tour of a local area of Cairo and we got to try some of the local and regional cuisine. We had a great time, Magy was and awesome guide and we certainly didn’t go hungry! There was loads of food, and loads of different dishes to try. We even brought our desserts back to the hotel. Thanks Magy!

Great experience to see a bit more local (non touristy) Cairo experience. But the best was our guide, Amal, she made the experience special. She has enormous pride in the culture she was sharing with us through food. One of the best people we met during our entire trip!

Becky was an amazing guide, she was not only knowledgeable about every dish we tried but also deeply insightful about the culture and neighborhoods we walked through. You could tell she had a genuine passion for sharing both the food and the stories behind it, which made the tour so much more meaningful. Definitely come hungry, because you’ll get your fill and then some! Every stop offered generous portions, and the food just kept getting better. Make sure to save space for the end, the meats were absolutely phenomenal, and you’ll want to try everything that’s offered. What really stood out was how immersive the experience felt. Walking through the local areas of Cairo gave us such a cool glimpse into everyday life, from street vendors to families going about their routines, while Becky shared fascinating little nuggets of history and context that explained why certain traditions or foods exist the way they do. She was incredibly accommodating throughout, happy to answer any questions (food-related or not), and her knowledge of Egypt in general was impressive. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cairo, friends, family, anyone. It’s the perfect blend of food, culture, and genuine connection to the city.

Thankfully we had a good group of seven travelers on this tour because we didn’t have a good experience with our guide. She started off with a lecture in the bus about people who stay with n 5 star hotels. We told her we had paid $30 for our hotel in Giza, but one of the guys was staying in a no e hotel and he was offended. The food was mainly carbs and it would have been nice to get an overview of the food because by the time we got to the main meal with meat everyone was full. The guide seemed agitated the whole time and anxious. The trip stated that is ends at the same location back at n central Cairo, but when I asked about this she got upset and said I need you to just tell me if you want me to get a ride for you. We ended up just getting an uber as everyone else did as well. This experience would have been a little t better with a pleasant guide, a kind demeanor is necessary when working with people!

From start to finish, this tour was fabulous. Our Guide,Magy, was super friendly and informative. It was easy to meet up with her. She told us a lot about the Egyptian culture and took us to so many great spots to eat. At each place she described the foods thoroughly and how they fit into the Egyptian lifestyle. Make sure you come hungry because these aren’t just samples. Some of these are full out meals. We were so stuffed by the end of it. Highly recommend
