Wonderful experience
Thank you Ahmed for a wonderful food tour in downtown Cairo. The tour includes a mix of street food stalls and family-run eateries covering breakfast, lunch, dinner and sweet foods typical for the locals. It connects you to modern Misr through food culture that can sometimes be overshadowed by more touristy Ancient Egypt. Ahmed was an excellent guide, knowledgable, hospitable and accommodating for dietary restrictions (plenty of vegetarian options to have!). A must tour for anyone visiting Cairo - it's a lot of food, so be prepared! Thank you again Ahmed and all the best to you and your family.

Eat like an Egyptian
You get to walk through Cairo while hitting up local spots to try foods you would have at breakfast, lunch and dinner. And at the end a nice little sweet treat to finish it off. Some locations you get to go to were special places not many would know about. Ahmed has done his work to get you to feel like a local so quickly. Highly recommend

Such delicious food!!
Amazing! Ahmed is an amazing tour guide, it really shows that doing this is a labor of love for him. He helps you connect with Egyptian in a very unique way through the small neighborhood, through delicious street food. This tour is a must!!!

Experience Egypt like a Local 🩷
We had a great time with Ahmed! He brought us to local Egyptian food places where locals have dined intergenerationally! He even brought us to a family-owned and family-operated restaurant that has been there since the 1950s. It has been a breath of fresh air to be accompanied to places I wouldn't otherwise discover on my own and whose menu are usually not in the touristy restaurants you see around the city.

A day’s worth of food so you can try lots of things- so amazing!
We have done many food tours all over the world and this one was the best! First of all, it is so much food! Our hosts wanted us to taste a usual day of food- breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and dessert. It was very genuine, you ate what the locals eat, where they eat it. Our hosts were like family, they shared the food with us, gave their opinions on the food taste, their preferences of the food choices, how one would prepare the dish etc. This is a walking tour, you go to a number of restaurants/kiosks, going through markets, seeing locals living their usual life. We really enjoyed it, it was “real” , not a touristy food tour and we left beyond stuffed! I highly recommend this tour! Maybe bring some napkins, wet wipes and hand sanitizer… you are going to get a little messy while you pig out!

real street live
The tour with Shorouk and Ahmed was great. They both are great entertainers. We tried food and visited places we would never try/visit on our own: real street live. Just do not eat to much at the beginning otherwise you will sufer with the food at the end .

Fantastic night with Ahmed trying local cuisine
We loved our tour with Ahmed, this is a must do in Cairo to see the real side of the local life and food! Ahmed was very kind and accomodating, it was great to spend time with him and learn about Egypt and its people. The establishments he took us too were authentic Egyptian restaurants and we had a great time trying the different tasty foods and were left very full at the end of the night. This is a must do experience and I can highly recommend Ahmed and his family to host!

YOU NEED TO DO THIS!!
An absolute must do when in Cairo.
Ahmed and Shorouk are very knowledgeable and have lots of information about each dish, it's history, ingredients and place in Egyptian culture.
Furthermore, you come as a tourist but leave as family.

MUST DO IN CAIRO
My sister and I started our trip to Egypt in Cairo with Shorouk. Shorouk is amazing and knows alot about local food. She took us to the best places and made us feel super safe. She also connected ys with some of her other tour guide friends so that we got the best and most tailored experiences everywhere we went! Oh and the food was AMAZING! We consider Shorouk a friend for life 💜💜💜
