  3. Tomb of Ramses III
    15 minute

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

  4. Tomb of Merenptah
    15 minute

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

  5. Tomb of Ramses IV
    25 de minute

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

Great tour of Luxor

We had an excellent experience with Hassan on this packed tour! We hit all the main attractions and had a great lunch. Hassan is very knowledgeable and is a great story teller. He enhanced the experience by priming us with historical facts and stories before we entered each attraction. This made us understand and appreciate the architectures and temples better.

Khalid is the best!

The tour was absolutely amazing. We wish we could have spent longer in Luxor, but since we only had one day there, we did this tour and it was perfect! Our tour guide Khalid was so kind and was very passionate about the ancient Egyptians. His stories and explanations were fun and entertaining. The lunch was amazing and our group was super small so it wasn’t difficult at all to hear our tour guide and it was easy to follow along. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially Khalid!!!

Incredible tour!

Our guide Khalid was incredible and everything about this tour was perfect. Communication was great and we loved seeing all of the sites at once. Khalid knew so much about Egyptology and was so passionate about it. The lunch was great too! It’s definitely exhausting to do everything in one day but totally worth it if pressed for time

Great Tour

Khalid did a wonderful job showing us around Luxor. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of each place and answered any questions we had. He brought us to great spots and gave us time to explore them ourselves. We had a great day on this tour.

Best Luxor tour with Khalid!

We had the best private tour of Luxor with Khalid. He was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating - although we had limited time due to an earlier flight, he did his best to visit all the sites we wanted to go to. We loved spending our time with him, and could listen to his stories for hours. Highly recommend!!

Great highlights of Luxor

We did this tour yesterday and really enjoyed it. Abdul was very knowledgeable and a good storyteller! The sites were truly amazing. It included a quick trip across the Nile on a boat, which was fun, and the lunch location had very good food. Everything was well organized with good communication. The pickup at our hotel was on time at 8:00 in the morning and we were done with everything by about 2:00 in the afternoon, which was nice because then we had the afternoon free to relax at the pool. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

See the best of Luxor in a day

Outstanding experience! I had the privilege of seeing the Valley of the Kings, Karnak, and Luxor temples with our exceptional guide Mansour. His passion for Egyptology and knowledge of the historical significance of each site was impressive. Mansour's attention to detail and ability to make each piece of history come to life truly made the experience unforgettable. The Valley of the Kings was awe-inspiring and Karnak and Luxor temples were breathtakingly beautiful. His guidance throughout the tour was insightful and informative, taking time to explain the significance of each piece, and helped us curate our experience to the most impactful sites. I would highly recommend Mansour to anyone looking for an exceptional guide for their tour of these ancient wonders. We came away happy and well cared for.

Highly recommended!

My husband and I did this tour today with Amin as the tour guide and Sherriff as our driver. Amin was very knowledgeable and we learnt so much about Egyptian culture and history from him. It was a long (and very hot!) day but we were driven around in a very clean air conditioned car which did definitely make a difference! Thank you both for an excellent experience!! I would highly recommend doing this tour!
