  3. Tomb of Ramses III
    15 minute

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

  4. Tomb of Merenptah
    15 minute

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

  5. Tomb of Ramses IV
    25 de minute

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

What an amazing day!

Today we had Khalid our tour guide & Ramagan our tour driver take us to see Valley of Kings, Queen Hatshepsut, Luxor & Karnak Temples. Khalid was great in pointing out what we should look for in the tombs and excellent at explaining reason for the temples. We had a great day and highly recommend the tour to others.

Best day trip of Luxor

This is the best tour of the West and East banks of Luxor and included so many memorable things! Our guide Abdul was so knowledgeable as he has even worked in archeological dig sites in the past. From the tombs of King Tut, King Ramses the 3rd and 9th, temples and more, this was the best day trip.

Best tour of Luxor!

What a great experience, our guide Abdul was the best!! He was so knowledgeable and has even worked at archaeological sites in Egypt. He knew the history so well and it was amazing to really learn all of the history behind each tomb, temple, and location. This is a must-do if you are in the Luxor area. It is a full day but lunch is included and the lunch was a full spread of Egyptian foods that was probably the best meal I have eaten all week. Make sure to ask for Abdul and you will have the best tour of the Luxor area!

Excellent Tour

This was an amazing tour of the East and West banks at Luxor. We only had one full day to see the temples and this tour allowed us to see all of the major sites in one day. Hassan was a fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable and made sure we knew exactly what we were about to see before we entered the various sites. He was very accommodating to meet our changing needs during the day. Would highly recommend this tour and Hassan as a guide! Thank you!

If you have Khalid you are so lucky!

It really is the very best tour for Luxor. I was worried we wouldn’t see everything because we had to leave 3pm. Khalid made sure that we saw absolutely everything. He was funny and just a joy to be around. Khalid was very knowledgeable and enjoyed storytelling and teaching us about Egypt in general. He even made it into a competitive game about facts. Need interesting photos? You’re in safe hands, Khalid knows all the angles and funny surprises too. At one point I misplaced my ticket, he remained calm and supportive, he let me look for it. Karnak temple is huge and you’ll probably need the whole morning to absorb it all in. At the end of the tour Ramadan our driver took us to the exact spot we needed to get back to our hotel faster. I appreciate how well organised this tour was, thank you, shukran!
