Had an unforgettable day!
Last week we went on a hot air balloon and private tour of Luxor. In a word, fantastic. We enjoyed it immensely. The information we received in advance from Merna was very clear and friendly. An extensive message with information about what we could expect. Everything perfectly arranged. Our driver Bomba was very knowledgeable and we were able to sleep well during the ride. The breakfast was simple but fine. Sandwiches with hummus, syrup or cheese. After breakfast we went with the hot air balloon. Our pilot was very skilled and we enjoyed the sunrise and the beautiful view. A truly wonderful experience! After the tour we visited both parts of Luxor with our guide Ali. A top guide who knew a lot about everything we saw. No question was too much and he regularly took photos of us. In short, we had a fantastic day that is definitely worth it!

Great day out in Egypt
Great trip - the driver and guide were excellent - friendly and informative - the information from Merna before the trip was clear and helpful. The balloon ride was wonderful and Luxor was very hot, but amazing! Take lots of water!!

Ballonfahrt über dem Tal der Könige
Der Kurztrip nach Luxor war natürlich auf Grund der Entfernung von El Gouna sehr anstrengend aber auch wirklich sehr beeindruckend und interessant. Wir wurden bereits um 22.00 Uhr in unserem Hotel in einem Privat Pkw abgeholt und starteten in Richtung Luxor. Es kam zu einigen Zeitverzögerungen hinter Soma Bay, da wir auf weitere drei Pkw´s warten mussten, um im Konvoi die lange Zeit durch die Wüste zu fahren. Das ist bei den Außentemperaturen von 40 Grad und dem geringen Verkehr durchaus verständlich. Mit mehreren Pausen waren wir dann doch recht lange (ca. 6,5 -7,0 Stunden) unterwegs für die 350km bis Luxor. Die gleich zu Beginn in Luxor durchgeführte Fahrt auf einer Felukke über den Nil bei Dunkelheit, lauter Musik, einem Fladenbrot pro Person mit etwas Honig und Schafskäse ohne Getränke und übernächtigten Gästen wirkte etwas erzwungen und der Sinn war nicht richtig nachvollziehbar, da die Felukkenfahrt eigentlich später am Tag stattfinden sollte.
Anschließend ging es super gut organisiert mit Minibussen weiter zum Startplatz der Ballone in Sichtweite des Tales der Könige. Es funktionierte alles wie am Schnürchen. Start von ca. 20 Ballonen, nahezu parallel. Wunderbare Aussicht, gigantischer Sonnenaufgang über dem Nil - sehr beeindruckend. Nach der Landung im gleichen Minibus (perfekt getimt) zurück zum Nilufer. Hier nahm uns unser Pkw Fahrer wieder in Empfang, zeitgleich kam unsere Reisführerin für die Ausgrabungsstätten zu dem Treffpunkt. Sie hat sich sehr rührend um uns gekümmert und alles überaus gut erklärt sowie uns auf kleine Details immer wieder aufmerksam gemacht.
Zur Mittagszeit wurde die Hitze immer unerträglicher und bei meinen zwei jugendlichen Kindern sank die Stimmung auf Grund des kulturellen Überangebotes immer weiter nach unten. Daraufhin hat unsere Reiseleiterin kurzfristig erneut eine Nilüberquerung mit einer Felukke arangiert und wir haben eine Pferdekutschenfahrt durch die Altstadt von Luxor sowie um den Tempel von Luxor herum gemacht. So hatten wir eine schöne Abrundung des Programms. Abschließend war noch ein leckeres Mittagessen direkt am Nilufer in einem schönen schattigen Restaurant organisiert. Danach ging es in einer 4-5 stündigen Autofahrt, erneut im Konvoi, wieder zurück über die Wüstenautobahn nach El Gouna am Roten Meer. Alles zusammengenommen ein sehr schöner Ausflug, einige Details könnte man bestimmt besser organisieren, insbesondere bezüglich des Transfers (z.B. direkt zum Ballonstart um 06.00 Uhr).

This was completely fine!
Personally, I thought the balloon flight was a bit short... other balloons turned out to be a bit long in the air... this is just a minor point of criticism.
Our guide Ahmed Bahaa met our expectations and gave us a good tour of the places to visit.
There turned out to be too little wind for the felucca boat... so we had to take a motor boat.
We did the trip at the end of July and beginning of August, it was extremely hot... but we knew that in advance.

Amazing day !
We had a private driver for each of the spots with a French guide, Oussman, very friendly and very interesting tours!
Everything went really well.
The hot air balloon was extraordinary as well as the valley of the kings, the temples and lunch on the Nile

Great Trip!
We had a wonderful trip to Luxor.
We booked the tour relatively spontaneously and Merna organized everything perfectly for us. Thank you very much for the flexibility!
We were picked up on time at the hotel and driven to Luxor. There we took a ride on the Nile and ate breakfast, which tasted very good.
We then went to the field where the hot air balloons are prepared and where you start the ride. The guys who prepare the balloons did a very good job and were always very nice and available for questions.
The hot air balloon ride was spectacular! This is really an experience that you must have done once in your life, as the other comments say. I highly recommend this to anyone.
Afterwards we had a very good tour of Luxor to the main sights including lunch.
All in all this was a very good tour and a fascinating experience which I can recommend to everyone! Thank you very much for this great tour!
