Private Full-Day Luxor Highlights – East & West Banks Start your day with a hotel in Luxor, where your expert guide will welcome you for a fully guided 7-hour tour in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. West Bank – The Necropolis of Thebes Valley of the Kings Your journey begins at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see, featuring elaborately decorated tombs that reveal the splendor of ancient Egyptian beliefs and artistry. During your visit, you’ll explore four royal tombs, including: The Tomb of Ramses IV – Famous for its vivid astronomical ceiling decorations. The Tomb of Ramses III – Featuring intricate wall reliefs and historical inscriptions. The Tomb of Merenptah – The grand burial site of Ramses II’s son. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut), known for its historical significance and the treasures it once held.

  2. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (KV62)
    15 minut

Entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun (300.00 EGP) (optional) King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings

  3. Tomb of Ramses III
    15 minut

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

  4. Tomb of Merenptah
    15 minut

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

  5. Tomb of Ramses IV
    25 minut

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

  6. Temple of Hatshepsut
    1 minuta

After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. The tour with Hassan was the best! He’s not just a guide, but a true Egyptology enthusiast.

Egypt is a wonderful country, full of history and hidden secrets, fascinating in every way. That's why we made an effort to choose the best guides for our tours, carefully reading all the reviews. We are also quite precise and demanding when it comes to our tours, and as a result, so are our comments. By far, the tour with Hassan was the best! He’s not just a guide, but a true Egyptology enthusiast. With his energy, charm, and storytelling, we were completely immersed in another world. Without a doubt, we didn’t have the same experience with the other tours. If it had been up to us, we would have taken him with us on the plane to visit other parts of Egypt that we had seen with the other guides. Highly recommended! If we return to Egypt, we’ll definitely reach out to him!

Private morning tour to valley of the kings

We took a half day private tour with Hassan as our guide and Raman as our driver. We were picked up from our hotel in a lovely air conditioned mini bus and then enjoyed a morning visiting Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut’s Temple amongst some other monuments. We couldn’t fault it- Hassan was an excellent tour guide, so knowledgeable and gave us a real insight into the history and Egyptian culture. And Raman was always there ready to take us in to the next sight. I would highly recommend this tour.

Ask for Khalid and Ahmed when you book!

**Excellent Luxor Tour with Khalid and Ahmed!** We had a fantastic full-day tour of Luxor's highlights on both the East and West Bank with Khalid as our guide and Ahmed as our driver. Both were outstanding! Khalid was incredibly knowledgeable, handling tickets smoothly and sharing fascinating details about Luxor and the incredible sights we visited. Ahmed was always punctual with the van, ensuring a seamless door-to-door service—which was especially appreciated in the intense heat. The van was spacious, private, and blessedly air-conditioned, with the AC on full blast throughout the day. We didn’t have to walk far from the parking lot to the attractions, making the experience very comfortable. Both Khalid and Ahmed were polite and attentive, even opening and closing the van doors for us. We aren't fans of the heat, so we asked Khalid to focus on the must-see sights, skip lunch, and avoid shop visits. He tailored the day perfectly to our requests, making the tour efficient and enjoyable despite the rising temperatures. Khalid also gave us insightful perspectives on geopolitical issues surrounding the Nile River, which we greatly appreciated as visitors from Washington, D.C. Another highlight was Khalid’s excellent photography skills—he captured some amazing photos for us! He matched our pace perfectly, ensuring we saw the best of Luxor without lingering too long in the heat. The only suggestion for improvement would be to offer cold bottled water, especially during hot days like ours. Overall, Khalid and Ahmed made our day in Luxor unforgettable. We highly recommend requesting Khalid as your guide for a customized, informative, and comfortable experience. Thank you both for such a memorable day!

Would highly recommend

We had a very good experience with this tour. Thanks to our tourguide Hassan! He showed us the highlights of the West side of Luxor. Helped us with buying the tickets and explained many interesting things about the highlights, but let us explore by ourselves as well. And.. He did that all with a smile and enthusiasm! We would highly recommend.

He was not only professional but also very kind and attentive to our needs throughout the day, making sure we were comfortable and happy at every step. His insights added much depth to our visit, and it was clear he was passionate about sharing his heritage with us. I highly recommend booking with him.

Awesome! Informative & fun!

Our guide, Hassan, gave us suggestions on which tombs to pick since we already saw 4 separately yesterday, and he was right! Great historian and gave us a lot of new details. The postcard packet helped us identify and take those pictures as we entered the tombs. Great explanation on other sites along the road. Great lunch suggestion at Africa restaurant. Took us all the way back to our hotel safely. Thank you, Hassan & Viator!
