Day Tour to El Fayoum Visiting starting with pickup from your Hotel at 07:00 AM, Drive from Cairo to El Fayoum around 1 hour, and start the tour by visitng the Tunis Village in Fayoum, The small village of Tunis (‘izbat Tunis) is located in the oasis of Fayoum, on the way to Wadi Rayan. Located on a hill facing a large salt water lake, the village overlooks a stunning view of the edge of the desert on the other side of the lake. It is one of the most beautiful places in Egypt.
The valley of Wadi El-Rayan is an area of 1759 km2, 113 km2 of which are the dominating water body of the Wadi El Rayan lakes. It is located about 65 km southwest of Faiyum city and 80 km west of the Nile River. The Wadi has been used for man-made lakes from agricultural drainage which has made a reserve of the two separate Wadi El Rayan Lakes. The reserve is composed of a 50.90 km2 upper lake and a 62.00 km2 lower lake, with waterfalls between the two. Among the springs, there are three sulphur springs at the southern side of the lower lake, with extensive mobile sand dunes. Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls are considered to be the largest waterfalls in Egypt. At the south and southeast of the springs is Gabal Manqueer Al Rayan, where marine fossils and archeological remains are found. Gabal Madwera, near the lower lake, is known for its extensive dune formations.
Lake Qarun or Qarun Pool is a lake in the city of Fayoum in Upper Egypt. It is located northwest of the city of Beni Suef, west of the Nile River, about 50 kilometers away from it. Lake Qarun is located in Fayoum Governorate and is one of the largest natural lakes in Egypt.
Wādī al-Ḥītān ( lit. 'Wadi of the Whales' Egyptian Arabic pronunciation: [ˈwa.diː elˈħit.æːn] is a paleontological site in the Faiyum Governorate of Egypt, some 150 kilometres (93 mi) south-west of Cairo. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2005 for its hundreds of fossils of some of the earliest forms of whale, the archaeoceti (a now extinct sub-order of whales). The site reveals evidence for the explanation of one of the greatest mysteries of the evolution of whales: the emergence of the whale as an ocean-going mammal from a previous life as a land-based animal. No other place in the world yields the number, concentration and quality of such fossils, nor their accessibility and setting in an attractive and protected landscape. The valley was therefore inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005. All our stay in Northern Egypt was our best day! A very friendly and dynamic guide, adapts to our rhythm which allows to appreciate the beauty of the landscape. Meeting with the Bedouins the road in the desert the visit to the museum were a very nice experience!!!! The meal was very hearty! An excursion that we highly recommend!!!

If you are debating on doing this tour or a different one stop debating and pick this one!!! We had the time of our lives on this trip and had the best guide Mahmoud I strongly recommend him as a guide and driving through the desert with the Bedouin music is an unforgettable experience! The food was also 10/10 and everyone is super welcoming !

Great tour! Haitham was such a great guide for us. He picked us up from home, went directly to fayoum and led us around wadi el hitan and wadi el rayan. In all of them he was telling us stories and showing us unique spots to take photos. Had a great time in Wadi el Hitan and wadi el rayan.

A day that will be etched in our memories forever. Everything was perfect! Our guide: Mohamed musa is just awesome. He knows how to put at ease, made us laugh a lot and is extremely professional. We couldn't have dreamed better. Ghihid and Islam (the drivers) were also great. The places are just all breathtaking and we take plenty of eyes from start to finish. Unforgettable. Thanks again to them!

Enjoyed the desert and the jeep ride- and the Valley of the Whales was amazing. The waterfall was good- all man made and just from car to falls and back- had thought maybe there would be a nice walk. Lunch at the Bedouin camp was good- way too much food so we felt bad we could not eat it all- we also had a long wait- not the guides fault in any way. Mo, our guide, was lovely, as was our driver- very good on those roads! Long drive, as expected, and passed some interesting place en route.

We are so glad we booked this excursion :-). We were staying in Giza, and booked through Emo Tours. Haitham(guide) and Bop(driver), picked us up promptly at our Hotel, it took us on the 2-hour drive to get there. Haitham was very knowledgeable about the history and facts about All of the areas that we experienced on the way there and back from the tour, as well as at the Valley of the Whales. Our highlight was definitely the 4x4 drive through the desert to see all of the scenery. The lakes were stunning! The tour felt very personalized and we would highly recommend it!
