Amazing Authentic Cairo Food Tour with Ahmed
We had an amazing food tour experience in Cairo with Ahmed! He took us to many different local restaurants where we tried a huge variety of traditional Egyptian dishes, desserts, and fresh juices. Everything felt authentic and carefully chosen, and it was a great way to experience the real local culture and food scene.
Ahmed was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and made sure we enjoyed every moment of the tour. His hospitality and passion for Egyptian food and culture really stood out.

Shorouk was de beste gids!
We waren zo blij met Shorouk voor de walking food tour! Ze was super vriendelijk en warm onmiddellijk. Ze verzorgde de tour voor het moment van de dag, allergieën ect. Terwijl we liepen vertelde ze ons alles over het Egyptische leven, architectuur, religies, alles wat er om ons heen gebeurt! We waren gewoon doodop dat we dit op onze laatste dag deden omdat we haar kookles ook graag hadden gedaan. Zou het iedereen aanraden!

De Cairo Street Food tour was een hoogtepunt van onze reis naar Egypte. Ahmed is een vriendelijke, boeiende en deskundige gids die gepassioneerd is door voedsel, cultuur en menselijke connecties. Hij stelde ons in staat om veel dingen te ervaren die we nooit alleen of met andere gidsen zouden hebben ontdekt. We zouden alleen willen dat we genoeg tijd in Caïro hadden gehad om de kookcursus met zijn familie te doen en enkele van de andere tours die ze aanbieden, zoals de City of the Dead; we herinneren ons niet dat we ooit een betere tourervaring hadden gehad met iemand anders ergens anders ter wereld!

Insider look into Cairo street food scene
The Cairo Street Food tour was a highlight of our trip to Egypt. Ahmed is an amiable, engaging and knowledgeable guide who is passionate about food, culture and human connections. He enabled us to experience many things we would never have discovered on our own or with other guides. We only wish we'd had enough time in Cairo to do the cookery course with his family and some of the other tours they offer like to the City of the Dead; we don't remember ever having a better tour experience before with anyone else anywhere else in the world!

Authentic local experience
This was the best tour experience we had on our entire trip to Egypt! It's clear that Ahmed cares deeply about his culture and community. We were taken to a variety of delicious restaurants all over Cairo, especially to "hole in the wall" local places that you may not usually experience as a tourist. We tried so many different Egyptian foods and Ahmed was even able to accommodate a vegan member of the group. The amount of food and number of stops included must have been worth even more than what we paid, making it a great value, and any leftover food was donated! If you want a true "local" food tour experience, be sure to book it with Ahmed and his family.

Exceptional tour of local Egyptian food
This tour was incredible as it included many different local foods that would be difficult to find on your own. Ahmed was very knowledgeable about the foods that we ate. He made the tour fun and thoroughly explained the foods. There is a lot of food to try so come hungry. I can not imagine coming to Cairo without taking this delicious tour. Thanks Ahmed!

Could not recommended highly enough
This was an unexpected highlight of our 5 days in Cairo. We wanted to experience things through the eyes of local people & this tour was perfect. Ahmed, Sharouk & family were the perfect hosts. We were over during Ramadan so our tour was an education on whats eaten and drunk during the period, really interesting and helped give us an understanding of what was going on around us. We were taken to some amazing eateries (which we wouldnt have found ourselves) given information on the dishes as well as the culture. Both Ahmed & Sharouk were very warm hosts giving just the right amount of information to keep things interesting but never overwhelming. They and their kids were very good company. The food was delicious and plentyful with a left over going to those in need. We left the evening nicely stuffed & full of happiness for our experience. Highly recommend

Lekker eten met een briljante, enthousiaste en deskundige gids
Mijn broer en ik hebben echt genoten van de avond eten tour met Ahmed, zo veel dat we weer hebben geboekt om meer te proberen op ons tweede bezoek dit jaar.
Hij was niet alleen goed geïnformeerd over het eten, maar ook over de lokale cultuur, tradities en geschiedenis die hij tijdens de avond in het gesprek mengde.
Al het eten bij de verschillende stops die we maakten was lekker en traditioneel lokaal eten eindigend met een van de lekkerste desserts die we in een tijdje hadden gehad genaamd Qounbela, ik beveel het proberen, mango, rijstpudding, kunafa en meer allemaal in één bad, zo goed!
