There’s nothing staged or commercial here just an unforgettable evening with Ahmed and Shorouk, two genuinely warm and passionate people who love sharing their city and its incredibly underrated food scene. They treated us like family and were eager to share stories and listen to ours. The dishes were outstanding, but the company was even better. Highly recommended!

Fabulous tour!
This tour was great and one of the highlights of our time in Egypt. Ahmed and Shorouk were wonderful! We had the special experience of being there during Eid, but I'm sure the tour would be just as fun any time of year.

Geweldige ervaring
Ahmed gaf ons zo'n geweldige rondleiding. Het was echt onvergetelijk. Ik heb niets slechts te zeggen. Het eten was geweldig, de informatie was geweldig. Ahmed gaf ons het gevoel dat we al lang vrienden waren.

Zeer aan te bevelen!
Oh wat een ervaring! Ahmed was een geweldige gastheer en gids en ik zou deze tour ten zeerste aanbevelen. Hij nam ons mee naar lokale restaurants en maakte de route op maat, zodat we Egyptisch eten konden ervaren dat we nog niet eerder hebben geprobeerd. Samen met het lekkere eten maakten zijn eigen persoonlijke verhalen echt de avond. Ik wou dat we een grotere eetlust hadden zodat we alles konden afmaken wat hij bestelde!

Memorable Food Tour for a Pharaoh
From the Sobia drink to the exotic offal meats, it was a true blue Egyptian experience! Ahmed brought us to these shops where locals would go to and I had the most tasty falafel I have ever tasted! (Sorry to my Turkey mates from my trip last year!)

A must do activity to experience authentic Egyptian food like the locals eat!
Thank you Ahmed for an incredible culinary experience to cap off my visit to Cairo! I had made a last minute booking whilst flying into Cairo and Ahmed was so incredibly kind with this time, insider knowledge of all of the local spots to eat and I can guarantee you that you would not be able to find (or even possibly enter because they are truly for the locals!) with proper local delicacies! He is so passionate about his culture that it made me fall in love hearing all the stories and bonding over our shared love for food! He even tailored the tour specifically for me as I happen to be the only person booked for the day! You absolutely must do this tour as a part of your visit to Cairo!

BEST TIME EVER
We had the BEST time ever! Ahmed even let our friend join last minute and halfway through the tour. He was so so informative and friendly, making the tour so memorable and fun. The food was genuinely so amazing, I would do it all over again.

Ahmed en Shorouk waren geweldig! Ze hebben een echte passie voor Egypte, lokale gerechten en lokale gebruiken, en we houden van hun concept om ons bloot te stellen aan lokale leven en lokale gerechten (inclusief een zeer “gebeurende” restaurant in een woonwijk)! Ze waren warm, vriendelijk en onderhoudend en ik zou deze ervaring aanbevelen!
