Today we went on a day trip with lunch to Luxor from Marsa Alam, got picked up on time from our hotel from our driver and met our great guide Hassaan in Luxor. He is very knowledgeable, my husband asked him hundreds of questions 😅. Can highly recommend this trip, a must do when in Egypt! Thanks to Hassaan and our driver!

Ich hatte mich gefreut, ich war allein mit Guide unterwegs. Das war aber nicht, was ich erwartet hatte. Mein Guide hat mich fast ausschließlich allein auf Tour geschickt, er hatte es bevorzugt, irgendwo zu warten. Korrekt, vorab habe ich im Schnelldurchlauf einen geschichtlichen Abriss bekommen. Aber so viel "Freizeit" - das entsprach nicht meiner Vorstellung, zumal Anfang Februar keine Hochsaison war. Nunja. Im Tempel von Karnak hat er dann nach 20 Minuten gemeint, so ... jetzt sind wir am Ende. Mehrfach habe ich ihn darauf hingewiesen, dass das nicht dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und meinen Vorstellungen entspricht. Und so ein Durchgehetze ... Das Mittagessen - und ich liebe arabische/ägyptische Küche, war auch eher mittelmäßig. 2 Sterne gibt es für die wunderschönen Sehenswürdigkeiten von Luxor. > 220 Euro + Trinkgeld für den Fahrer. (Obwohl Luxor ansich 5 * verdient). Ich bin nicht sehr anspruchsvoll, aber auch ich arbeite für den Urlaub, den ich mir leiste. Schade. Ich liebe Ägypten, das war meine schlechteste Erfahrung überhaupt. Natürlich habe ich dem Guide durchweg Feedback gegeben, hat aber nichts an seinem Ablauf (schnell durchsprechen, mir sagen wo er wartet - manchmal musste ich ihn suchen, und schnell weiter) geändert. Ich hoffe, er lernt etwas daraus.

Hany and Hosam took good care of us, very good and reliable tour provider. The communication was good,the driver on time, lunch was arranged in a real good quality restaurant with nice views over tge river Nile and Hany was very knowledgeable about the pharaonic history. Highly recommend!

We booked through TripAdvisor following positive reviews. Early 4am start direct from our hotel which was confirmed through WhatsApp the day before. Comfortable mini van for journey to Luxor with a stop for toilet and food break on way. We met our guide Sayed Gamal at Temple of Karnak. His tour was excellent, and adapted to suit our 9 year olds. Following this we went to the Valley of the King's, Temple of Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon. Sayed accompanied us on these tours as well. Lunch was at a small Egyptian restaurant that offered a set menu with choice of fish, chicken or beef. Long day but very much worth it. The entrance fee to each temple was approx. 20/30 pounds for a family of 4. Would recommend Sayed.

My wife and I were highly impressed by our tour to the Luxor temples. It’s a long day, but well worth the effort. Our guide was highly knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Karnak Temple was the highlight, but we really enjoyed the Valley of the Kings too. We thought it was excellent value for money — it would have been difficult to self-organise such a visit and cover things so comprehensively. Our driver was safe, on time, and flexible about stops on the way — again we were impressed by how transportation was handled. An authentic lunch at a local Luxor restaurant was included in the tour price; the food was really excellent. No negative aspects to report at all.
