I Colossi di Memnone sono due enormi statue di pietra situate sulla riva occidentale del fiume Nilo vicino alla città di Luxor in Egitto. Sono tutto ciò che resta di un più grande complesso di templi funerari costruito dal faraone Amenhotep III durante il XIV secolo a.C. (circa 1350-1334 a.C.). Le statue raffigurano Amenhotep III seduto sul trono e ciascuna statua è alta circa 18 metri (60 piedi) e pesa circa 700 tonnellate. Erano scolpiti in singoli blocchi di arenaria quarzite e originariamente collocati all'ingresso del tempio del faraone. Le statue furono create per custodire il tempio e per rappresentare il potere e l'autorità divina del faraone.

Exploring Luxor with Egypt Lovely Tours
Today we visited the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. It was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Luxor is absolutely breathtaking, and we can’t wait to discover more of it! Our guide, Mohammed Ali, was incredibly accommodating, respectful, and engaging. He patiently answered all of our questions and made the tour even more enjoyable and interesting. He also took some really nice pictures of us, which gave us some beautiful memories to take home. Our driver, Safwan, was punctual, professional, respectful, and very kind. The car was clean and comfortable, and the AC was a real plus. We loved the tour from beginning to end and felt right at home throughout the whole experience. We also made an unexpected stop at Aton, where we got to see how replicas inspired by the ancient Egyptian treasures and decorations found in the tombs are made. The staff there were incredibly kind and welcoming. They took the time to explain everything to us clearly and patiently, and we really enjoyed the experience. It wasn’t originally part of our itinerary, but it turned out to be a lovely little bonus and a very nice addition to the day. We absolutely love Luxor and would highly recommend Egypt Lovely Tours. ❤️

Great private half day tour
We were picked up on time from our ship by Ahmed (driver) and Ammar (English speaking guide). They were courteous and polite throughout. Because we chose a 6am start we were able to stay ahead of the crowds all day. We would highly recommend this tour.

Guida esperta e tour senza intoppi
Abbiamo fatto un tour guidato con Ammar e ci è piaciuto davvero ogni minuto. Molto preparato, ha spiegato tantissimo riguardo alle tombe e ai luoghi di interesse. Sapeva rispondere a tutte le nostre domande! Il viaggio è andato benissimo e il prelievo con Ahmed è stato fantastico!

私たちのガイドはMahmoud Sadekさんでした！ 私たちのペースに合わせて案内してくださり、急かされることなく、ゆっくり観光を楽しめました。 9月のルクソールはとても暑かったのですが、車内のエアコンをしっかり効かせ、冷たいお水も用意してくれて、嬉しかったです。 暑い中でも快適に過ごせて、大満足の観光になりました✨

Amazing!!!
We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Ahmed Abdulteif during our time in Luxor. From the moment we met him, he was friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. He made sure we were comfortable, looked after, and had everything we needed. Ahmed was not only a great tour guide with excellent knowledge of Luxor and its history, but he also went above and beyond to help us organise trips and activities in Hurghada. He made the whole process easy and stress-free and was always available to help whenever we needed him. What really stood out was how genuine and caring Ahmed was. He treated us like friends rather than just tourists, and we always felt we were in safe hands. If you’re visiting Luxor or Hurghada, I would highly recommend Ahmed. Explored the magnificent of the history
