I Colossi di Memnone sono due enormi statue di pietra situate sulla riva occidentale del fiume Nilo vicino alla città di Luxor in Egitto. Sono tutto ciò che resta di un più grande complesso di templi funerari costruito dal faraone Amenhotep III durante il XIV secolo a.C. (circa 1350-1334 a.C.). Le statue raffigurano Amenhotep III seduto sul trono e ciascuna statua è alta circa 18 metri (60 piedi) e pesa circa 700 tonnellate. Erano scolpiti in singoli blocchi di arenaria quarzite e originariamente collocati all'ingresso del tempio del faraone. Le statue furono create per custodire il tempio e per rappresentare il potere e l'autorità divina del faraone.

Abdo excellent conducteur et très professionnel. Je recommande vivement, le guide Hany Yassen explique très bien, très sympa, et professionnel. N’hésitez pas à lui demander de vous expliquer les choses il le fera avec plaisir. Cependant il parle en anglais pas en français. Le tour est complet et riche en expérience. Je pense que le rapport qualité prix est bon. Prendre le tout inclus pour une expérience unique.

Gran experiencia con nuestro guía Ahmed El Sayed quien estuvo al pendiente de nosotros desde antes de nuestra llegada. Fue muy accesible y nos dio recomendaciones. Nos esperó pacientemente en el hotel hasta que llegamos del aeropuerto ya que el avión se retrasó e hizo todo lo posible por lograr que nuestra rápida visita a Luxor valiera la pena y logramos conocer lo más importante del Valle de los Reyes y el templo de la reina Hatshepsut.

Hany Yassen was an outstanding tour guide. He was very knowledgeable with the history for the Valley of the kings and Hatshepsuts mortuary. He also told me which tombs to go to and worth the extra money and what was not which made me happy. Then he took me to an amazing place where Egyptians make Alabaster. I bought a beautiful piece. The drivers name was Abdo and he was very nice.

Abdel was truly exceptional. He is incredibly passionate about Egyptian history, and you can feel it in every explanation he gives. He didn’t just share information, he made us feel involved, connected, and fully immersed in the stories behind the Valley of the Kings. His way of explaining things was clear, engaging, and full of enthusiasm, which made the entire experience unforgettable. A special mention also to our driver, Mahmod, who was fantastic throughout the day. After we left the car, he even found my phone and came all the way back to return it to me, an act of honesty and kindness that we deeply appreciated. We couldn’t have asked for a better team for our half‑day tour in Luxor. Highly recommended.

We did the half-day tour with Ahmed and the driver Madouh. It was a fantastic experience; Ahmed is very friendly, cordial, and knowledgeable, he knows everything about Egypt’s history and is passionate about sharing his expertise. He does everything to make the experience memorable and enjoyable. He picked us up at the hotel, provided water, acted as our guide, and even helped us arrange transport from the hotel to the airport with driver Madouh. I highly recommend him!
