La sensazione del cibo fatto in casa preparato come le nonne egiziane erano solite cucinare ogni giorno è così bella. La seconda area è l'iconica del Cairo locale dove puoi esplorare il Cairo fuori dai marciapiedi battuti, la vita reale delle persone, i tuk tuk e i mercati locali. Un panino di taameya come quello tipico dei Cairenei al posto dei falafel e un piatto di Koshary sono autentiche esperienze tra gente del posto! Oltre 6 fermate ti faranno ballare il ventre con il cibo egiziano. Ahmed was the perfect host and guide to experience Egyptian culture through local food via authentic Egyptian restaurants & street vendors. This tour should be your first stop when you arrive in Cairo, sets the scene for the rest of the visit, we highly recommend this.

If you’re interested in learning about daily family life in Cairo, or meeting a family, AND getting a sense of everyday Egyptian food and small places for locals, this is your tour. We loved our 3 hours w Shorouk, and learned a ton. And the food is hot, so no stomach issues. (That seems to be everyone’s first question). Great experience!!!

Words truly cannot express how amazing this experience was. From start to finish, Ahmed’s local food tour was an absolute highlight of our time in Cairo. The food was incredible, giving us a true taste of Egyptian culture. However, what made it even more special was Ahmed himself. His deep knowledge, kindness, and generosity made us feel like we were exploring the city with an old friend. Every stop offered not just delicious bites, but stories, laughter, and connection with the wonderful local people. It was a cherished experience that we’ll never forget. We had an incredible experience with Ahmed and Shorouk on their food tour. They acted as great hosts, engaging everyone in conversation and making it feel like we were all old friends catching up. They only accept small groups to ensure the tour this feels this way. The food we tried was very local and delicious!! Highly recommend booking with them!

This tour was a great way to start our visit to Egypt, not only did we get to try all types of traditional/popular Egyptian food, but the guide, Ahmed, taught us so much about Egypt, Egyptian people, and Egyptian culture. He took us around to various different places with the best examples of different foods, all places that would be inaccessible for most tourists because of the language barrier.

Tour was so tasty, informative, culturally interesting and fun! So many different tasty food options. Definitely a good cross section of local food. Ahmad was so engaging, entertaining and knowledgeable. He was able to tailor the tour to meet my wife’s gluten allergy. I got to try freshly made pizza like bread with a 3 month old cheese - so good! You will really miss out not taking this tour.
