Fabulous food tour
If you want to get into the belly of Cairo and gain some understanding of its history and rich culture and enjoy some amazing local food then look no further Ahmed will be sure to look after you with his warm and friendly company. He is an encyclopaedia of knowledge and made us feel at home . He took us to some amazing local restaurants that have served delicious Egyptian food for generations . Amazing food and even better conversation
The tour felt more like friends catching up over good local food instead of the generic food tour business. All the spots we went to were local places with no English menus. Getting to know the people that owned the shops. Ahmed is an amazing guide and you will definitely enjoy this tour

Fun and Interesting Evening with Amazing Hosts
Ahmed and Sharouk are both wonderful hosts.
We had taken a walk around Old Cairo before meeting the tour group and were running about 10 minutes late. Ahmed was very understanding and reassured us not to rush. We arrived and were greeted warmly.
The tour starts at a local Juice Bar where we sampled local sugar cane juice and fresh hibiscus juice.
They take you on a walk through the Cairo streets stopping at lots of local family run restaurants and food stands. You will get to sample several of Egypt's staple dishes with the couple providing a wealth of information not only about the food but also about Egyptian culture. The dishes were chosen to represent what is eaten locally for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Dessert.
Ahmed is multilingual and was providing translations if some members of our small group were struggling with English.
I highly recommend this fun evening in the lively if chaotic streets of Cairo.

A truly local experience!
Ahmed and his wife are very welcoming and they really inform you about Egypt and its culture. It’s a long (but well worth it) experience and you get your moneys worth with the amount of food tastings and places visited. It’s a must do for anyone in Cairo!

Such a memorable experience
We had such an incredible time with Ahmed and his family. We as 4 girls in our 20s and learned so much about local Egyptian culture and food. We spent time with their two daughters Maria and Karma. Such a beautiful and welcoming family. This was our favorite part of our trip to Egypt.

MUST DO EXPERIENCE !!!!!
Great communication prior to meeting; Ahmed met us on time at the pre-arranged point and the variety of dishes was fantastic! Friendly and engaging conversation all night. He explained all about history and ingredients of the dishes too! Ahmed also ensured we caught our correct Uber at the end of the night. Definitely a must do experience when in Cairo. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Molto cibo per il prezzo pagato. Alla fine ero pienissimo. Posti meravigliosi dove mangiare. Le guide sono molto appassionate dell'Egitto e molto preparate. Il cibo è delizioso. Hai davvero la sensazione di provare posti locali e non turistici, pur vivendo un'ottima esperienza complessiva. Non è nemmeno troppo faticoso in termini di camminata, eppure si riesce ad avere una buona percezione della zona. È davvero un'esperienza piacevole che consiglio vivamente di provare!

Ahmed è stato una guida turistica fantastica! È stato amichevole, competente e ha reso l'intera esperienza sia divertente che educativa. Mio marito ed io siamo stati benissimo, e ho prenotato questo tour come parte dei festeggiamenti per il compleanno di mio marito. Dato che era praticamente diventato un locale, non eravamo sicuri di quanto avremmo imparato di nuovo, ma Ahmed ha comunque reso l'esperienza coinvolgente e ha condiviso storia e fatti interessanti che entrambi abbiamo apprezzato. La sua passione, professionalità e personalità calorosa hanno reso il tour indimenticabile. Consigliamo vivamente di prenotare con Ahmed se cercate un'esperienza piacevole e istruttiva!

Consigliatissimo a TUTTI
Assolutamente consigliato a chiunque visiti il Cairo! ! Shorouk è stata una guida incredibile e sento anche di aver trovato una nuova amica 💕 Abbiamo fatto il tour con mio marito e i miei 3 figli (di età compresa tra 5 e 14 anni), oltre a mia madre e al mio patrigno, ed è stato perfetto per tutte le età. Abbiamo imparato tantissimo sul cibo egiziano (abbiamo persino visto prepararne gran parte da zero! ) ma abbiamo anche imparato ancora di più sulla cultura e sullo stile di vita egiziani. Il cibo era delizioso! Mia madre era preoccupata che non le sarebbe piaciuto nulla e alla fine le è piaciuto TUTTO. Non posso raccomandare abbastanza questo tour e questa meravigliosa famiglia ♥️
