Best experience ever
This was by far my most favourite day spent in Egypt. From the get go to the end it was incredible. Our driver/guide was Mostafa and he was the best!! He was calm and reserved yet very friendly. I liked that he gave me my space to do my own things and that he was not all in my face. Rania was my travel assistant who checked up in me before, during and after my trip to make sure it all went as planned. I really appreciated the efforts Ocean Air travels made for us! When we got to Fayoum, our 4×4 driver was Salah. What a wonderful being, although there was a language barrier not once did I feel different! Our guide Mostafa and Salah accompanied me to the desert which was stunning. We drank tea then headed to the river to go on a boat. After we saw the waterfalls we went to the magic lake for a swim. Then we went dune bashing and sand boarding. I throughly enjoyed it!! We ended the trip with a delicious bedouin lunch. I was sad to leave Wadi El Rayan because of how much fun I had. Hope to go there again and I recommend this trip for everyone. You will not be disappointed, I assure you :)

A highlight of Egypt!
Definitely one of our biggest highlights of our trip to Egypt! Would 1000% recommend doing this tour, not only do you get to see a different side to Egypt and the beauty of the Fayoum, but you get to do it with fun, energetic and really knowledgable guides. If you are going ask for Moustafa Ortega, he’s one of the best guides we’ve experienced in Egypt and we have been on a month long trip filled with lots of different tours, but this is one of the best.
We began the day taking a 4x4 into the desert to a little cafe to relax for a few mins before going to see the waterfalls. The waterfalls were beautiful and amazing for taking photos. Moustafa knows how to take great photos.
We then took a felucca across the lake which was so peaceful and beautiful.
The 4x4 across the desert dunes was incredible and very fun, we laughed the whole time with our Bedouin driver- ‘the king of the desert’ he also knows how to cook too and did a real good bbq lunch after some sand boarding.
Maybe the best part of the day for us was swimming in the desert oasis lake- there is nobody around for miles and you have this whole lake to yourself- the water is crystal clear and an amazing relief from the heat of the desert.
Honestly, if you are reading this and thinking about booking this tour- ask for these guys, you’ll have an amazing time. We didn’t know what to expect and it was one of our highlights.

With Ramy and Mahoud on dessert tracks...
We had an amazing time thanks to Ramy, our driver and Mahmoud Emam, our guide. Pickup from the hotel, an interesting drive via Ring Road, passing the Pyramids of Gizeh on the desert highways and varying nature towards the Wadi Al Fayyum. You wouldnt expect sand, huge salt water lakes, waterfalls and palm trees so close together. After a 2 hours drive we changed car and were placed in a real off road car and having a very exciting off road drive combined with stops at various points of interests such as a lake, a dune or the waterfalls. After that a little bit of sand boarding (better dont underestimate, what it means, to climb back up on a dune after happily surfing it). After all of that we had a delicious barbecue. We were very excited but also tired and exhausted, this is why we finally decided to skip the camel ride and went back to the hotel. What an amazing day and if your Cairo stay is not completely overbooked with cultural events we highly recommend this trip with our 2 companions Ramy and Mahmoud for a great day!

The Guide , car, driver, Lunch Safari car, are all great !
The guide is very kind and polite and he can take a good photo for us.
Sow e can enjoy the desert and we can get the excellent photo as well. And we can enjoy the traditional cuisine in the lunch. it s very delicious.
So I can recommend to join to you to enjoy the desert !

Amazing sandsurf and desert experience!!
Fares was one of the best if not the best tour guide I have ever had!
He was kind, helpful and was always explaining what everything was. He has a lot of knowledge!
The sandboarding and the sand drive were amazing!
