We spent the day with two of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet. Mustafa arrived to pick us up in a vehicle that I would politely describe as “adequate” but it proved to be equal to the task. Egyptian driving is not for the faint hearted and would certainly qualify as a “contact sport” but Mustafa soon showed that he was master of the art and we felt safe and relaxed in his care. When we arrived we were met by Eslam, a lovely man. Well educated and qualified both as a guide and a teacher. He showed us the Catacombs, Roman Theatre and Citadel imparting his knowledge as a teacher not “bombarding” us with information as many guides can do. Lunch at a buzzing seafood restaurant overlooking the bay followed by a visit to the incredible Alexandria library. Thank you Eslam for a very worthwhile day in your company. Long drive back to Cairo but handled skilfully by Mustafa who gave us a lovely souvenir each upon our return which we will treasure. Well done guys and well done Egyptian tours Gateway.

After a different tour company cancelled our Alexandria tour over night Omar with Egypt Tours Gateway booked us a full day tour with only 2 hours notice. Amr our driver was on time, and navigated the crazy traffic like a pro. Halim our guide lives in Alexandria and is super knowledgeable. He made each of our stops fun and interesting. We had a lunch break at a restaurant right on the beach so the view was wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about this team!! Wonderful-

We had a bit of a bumpy start. due to traffic conditions we left late. But our driver arrived and we went on the road to Alexandria. He was very friendly and drove us all day safely through the Egyptian traffic. Even stopped two times to get us refreshments. Arrived in Alexandria we met Eslam Maher our tour guide. He was amazing! Very knowledgeable and super friendly. He showed and explained us everything about the impressive history of Alexandria. A great option to explore something beyond Cairo with limited time. Thanks for the great day!

We had a free day before our formal group tour so we decided to book a day tour of Alexandria. We opted for a private tour and glad we did. Let’s get the bad out of the way first. Our driver was more than a little late when picking us up. Having said that, I would still rate Ali a 5 star driver! He drove the 2+ hour drive to Alexandria like a pro and maneuvered the horrendous traffic in Cairo and Alexandria with the precision of a diamond cutter! Ali was friendly, thoughtful and patient - a pleasure. Glad we had him for our driver for the day. Our guide was Eslam. He was Knowledgeable, so accommodating, thoughtful and courteous. He shared his knowledge of Egyptian and Alexandrian history as well as some personal information as a native to the area. A very interesting, fulfilling and overall great experience. Oh lunch - great fish lunch with a great view. Perfect choice Eslam! I researched many options for this day trip and many others don’t provide entry into some of the places (they only stop for photo ops). We got the all inclusive package - well worth the $$.

The guide and the tour in Alexandria was amazing…. But we had to wait in front of the hotel for 2 hours and 20 minutes before the driver showed up. Then we get into the car and stops right away at the gas station. Then after one hour he stoppep for cigarette and coffee, he left us in the car without offering water…. Loosing our time in a lifetime vacation with family is terrible.
