Amazing Authentic Cairo Food Tour with Ahmed
We had an amazing food tour experience in Cairo with Ahmed! He took us to many different local restaurants where we tried a huge variety of traditional Egyptian dishes, desserts, and fresh juices. Everything felt authentic and carefully chosen, and it was a great way to experience the real local culture and food scene.
Ahmed was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and made sure we enjoyed every moment of the tour. His hospitality and passion for Egyptian food and culture really stood out.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cairo and wanting a genuine local food experience!

Shorouk was the best tour guide!
We were so happy with Shorouk for the walking food tour! She was super friendly and warm immediately. She catered the tour for time of the day, allergies ect. As we walked she told us all about egyptian life, architecture, religions, anything going on around us! We were just guttered we did this on our last day because we would have loved to do her cooking class aswell. Would highly recommend!

Insider foodie tour of downtown Cairo
The Cairo Street Food tour was a highlight of our trip to Egypt. Ahmed is an amiable, engaging and knowledgeable guide who is passionate about food, culture and human connections. He enabled us to experience many things we would never have discovered on our own or with other guides. We only wish we'd had enough time in Cairo to do the cookery course with his family and some of the other tours they offer like to the City of the Dead; we don't remember ever having a better tour experience before with anyone else anywhere else in the world!

La tournée culinaire du Caire a été un moment fort de notre voyage en Égypte. Ahmed est un guide aimable, attachant et compétent qui est passionné par la nourriture, la culture et les liens humains. Il nous a permis de découvrir beaucoup de choses que nous n'aurions jamais découvertes seuls ou avec d'autres guides. Nous aimerions seulement avoir assez de temps au Caire pour faire le cours de cuisine avec sa famille et quelques-unes des autres visites qu'ils offrent comme à la ville des morts; nous ne nous souvenons pas avoir jamais eu une meilleure expérience de visite avant avec quelqu'un d'autre partout ailleurs dans le monde!

Ce fut la meilleure expérience de visite que nous avons eue sur tout notre voyage en Égypte! Il est clair qu'Ahmed tient beaucoup à sa culture et à sa communauté. Nous avons été emmenés à une variété de délicieux restaurants dans tout Le Caire, en particulier à "trou dans le mur" des endroits locaux que vous ne pouvez pas éprouver habituellement en tant que touriste. Nous avons essayé tellement de nourriture égyptienne différente et Ahmed a même pu accueillir un membre végétalien du groupe. La quantité de nourriture et le nombre d'arrêts inclus devaient valoir encore plus que ce que nous avons payé, ce qui en fait une excellente valeur, et tout reste de nourriture a été donné! Si vous voulez vivre une véritable expérience culinaire "locale", assurez-vous de la réserver avec Ahmed et sa famille.

Exceptional tour of local Egyptian food
This tour was incredible as it included many different local foods that would be difficult to find on your own. Ahmed was very knowledgeable about the foods that we ate. He made the tour fun and thoroughly explained the foods. There is a lot of food to try so come hungry. I can not imagine coming to Cairo without taking this delicious tour. Thanks Ahmed!

Could not recommended highly enough
This was an unexpected highlight of our 5 days in Cairo. We wanted to experience things through the eyes of local people & this tour was perfect. Ahmed, Sharouk & family were the perfect hosts. We were over during Ramadan so our tour was an education on whats eaten and drunk during the period, really interesting and helped give us an understanding of what was going on around us. We were taken to some amazing eateries (which we wouldnt have found ourselves) given information on the dishes as well as the culture. Both Ahmed & Sharouk were very warm hosts giving just the right amount of information to keep things interesting but never overwhelming. They and their kids were very good company. The food was delicious and plentyful with a left over going to those in need. We left the evening nicely stuffed & full of happiness for our experience. Highly recommend

Tasty Food with a brilliant, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide
My brother and I really enjoyed the evening food tour with Ahmed, so much so we've booked again to try more on our second visit this year.
He was not only knowledgeable about the food but also the local culture, traditions and history which he mixed in with the conversation during the evening.
All the food at the various stops we made was tasty and traditional local food ending with one of the nicest desserts we'd had in a while called Qounbela, I highly recommend giving it a try, mango, rice pudding, kunafa and more all in one tub, so good!
