Legacy Tours organised an incredible day for us in Luxor. We were picked up promptly from our hotel in a comfortable air conditioned car by our driver. Our guide, Mohamed Sayed, met us in Luxor. He was friendly, knowledgeable and patient when introducing us to the incredible lives of the ancient Egyptians. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We began our day at the Karnak Temple, from there to the Valley of the Kings and on to the Temple of Hatshepsut. After a quick stop at the Colossi of Memnon, our lunch was an enjoyable Egyptian meal at a local restaurant. Following lunch we had a short boat ride on the Nile. The day ran exceptionally smoothly with no problems. I would definitely recommend Legacy Tours and our new friend Mohammed for providing a first class service.

A compact one-day-trip with a reliable chauffeur and our guide Samira, who knew all there was to know about Egyptian kings and queens. Everything went smoothly, and thanks to our staff, there was a relaxed feeling throughout the journey, despite a very early wake up and the usual crowds of hurried co-tourists in the Valley of Kings. Also the lunch setting was pleasant and the food much better than on many other pre-arranged trips.

Tuvimos la excursión de un día más increíble de Hurghada a Luxor. Todo estaba perfectamente organizado y nuestro guía LT era muy conocedor y entretenido y hablaba excelente inglés y adaptado el día perfectamente a nuestros requisitos. El conductor, Islam Quraani, era extremadamente educado y hacía que moverse fuera fácil y agradable. No podemos recomendar esto lo suficientemente!

Nos recogieron en Hurghada de nuestro hotel por Adam a las 4. 30 am y conducido a Luxor. El coche era cómodo y eligió una parada para nosotros a mitad de camino donde no había ningún cargo por los baños. Cuando llegamos a Luxor, Hamad se hizo cargo de la conducción y fue muy amable y se aseguró de que tuvimos un buen día. Luego recogimos a nuestro guía Samira, que era muy acogedor y conocedor y nos llevó a ver los lugares de interés. Ella recomendó cambiar el templo de Karnak a un templo diferente, ya que estaba luchando con caminar (tengo una discapacidad) y creo que esta era la opción correcta para mí, pero después de haber mirado las fotos, creo que el templo de Karnak es la mejor opción si estás de acuerdo con caminar! Nos llevaron a una fábrica de alabastro, pero no por mucho tiempo. Samira era genial para hablar, tenía tanto conocimiento sobre el antiguo Egipto y también feliz de hablar sobre la vida egipcia actual que era muy interesante. Al final del recorrido, Hamad nos llevó a conocer a Adam que nos llevó de vuelta a Hurghada. En nuestro viaje de regreso a Hurghada se detuvo para comprarnos helados y bebidas, que fue muy amable! Tuve un gran día y vi y aprendí mucho sobre el antiguo Egipto.

We had an absolutely amazing 10 out of 10 experience from start to finish on the private day tour from Hurghada to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings with Legacy Tour. A very special mention goes to our guide El Tayeb – ask for him if you can. He was truly fantastic. His knowledge, passion, and storytelling brought ancient Egypt to life. It was clear that he knew the sites inside out, and thanks to him we saw hidden treasures and corners of Egypt’s history that other groups clearly did not get to see. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and smooth throughout the day. El Tayeb took his time, answered all our questions, and made sure the experience felt personal and special rather than rushed or touristy. This tour exceeded all our expectations, and we can warmly recommend both Legacy Tour and especially El Tayeb!

Great trip to discover Egypt’s history. Pick up was smooth, exchanged drivers on the outskirts of Luxor for a local, picked up our guide Sameera and spent the day visiting the sites of ancient Egypt. Sameera was friendly, informative and incredibly knowledgeable about everything Egyptian history has to tell. Her knowledge was astounding and her assistance in navigating our way through the street hawkers was very helpful too. She was invaluable in making our day thoroughly worth the early start. A boat trip on the Nile made the trip even more special. At the end we farewelled Sameera and were driven to meet our original driver who safely transferred us back to Makadi Bay. All very efficient. Thank you.

Well worth the 5am start, the trip was well organised from start to finish. The private mini bus was on time, clean and comfortable and the drivers were friendly and polite. The best part though was our guide, El T 😊 he was so knowledgeable and explained the history in a way that brought it all to life. We visited the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and Karnak Temples and had a beautiful boat trip on the Nile. We also had a delicious lunch in an Egyptian restaurant. It was such a memorable day, having our own guide and transport made it much easier and much more enjoyable. Thank you so much to our guide, and we all loved our trip to Luxor!

Mi esposa y yo reservamos esta experiencia hace 5 días mientras estábamos de vacaciones en el área de Makadi Bay cerca de Hurghada. Nuestro conductor Ahmed Bahaa nos recogió a tiempo a las 5 am y era una gran compañía hacia y desde Luxor, que era ~ 3. 5 horas por trayecto. Incluso nos compró helado en el camino de vuelta, que fue muy amable de su parte! Al llegar a Luxor nos encontramos con nuestro guía profesional Mahmoud Issa. Habiendo crecido en el mismo Luxor, es increíblemente conocedor de los lugares que visitamos: Valle de los Reyes, Templo de la Reina Hapshetsut y Templo de Karnak, e historia del antiguo Egipto en general. No solo nos proporcionó tanto contexto e historia mientras caminábamos, sino que también tuvo respuestas a todas nuestras preguntas, y habla bien inglés. El tour en sí fue genial, creo que vale la pena visitar los tres sitios, mi favorito personalmente fue el templo de Karnak, que fue nuestra última parada, y una gran manera de terminar el tour. También nos detuvimos para un almuerzo muy sabroso seguido de un viaje en barco de 30 minutos a través del río Nilo. Tanto Ahmed como Mahmoud eran increíblemente educados, profesionales y amables. El detalle y la preservación de los sitios fue muy impresionante dado que se remontan a casi 3500 años. Con eso en mente, este tour y los boletos de entrada creo que son una buena relación calidad-precio y recomendaría este viaje a cualquiera que esté pensando en un día fuera del hotel para disfrutar de un poco de historia egipcia.

This was a truly brilliant day from start to finish. Our drivers were very friendly, polite and safe. The car was very clean with air con too. Our tour of the valley and tombs afterwards was just outstanding. Our tour guide Professor Ahmed Elsisi was a wonderfully expert guide who furnished us with so much information and knowledge throughout the day which made the whole day truly memorable. The lunch provided was just delicious and omongst the best food I have had in Egypt. The day was rounded off with a nice relaxing boat trip on the Nile. I give every aspect of this trip 100%.
