Fun day shopping and eating

The shopping was fantastic and our tour guide Mohamed Hamed was the best. He found an amazing falafel and Shwarma restaurant and a delicious tea house for us. He also saved us tons of money as he bargained for us which helped get us locals' prices. He was friendly and his English was excellent. We had a great worry free day as he provided for us.

Wonderful around Cairo

It was a wonderful morning visiting the Christian's churches and holy places. Then we visit the citadel and two amazing mosques. The van was very nice, and the team very punctual. The guide Ahmed Tonsi tried to answer all our questions. Besides historical informations he also gave us many informations about the muslim religion. The trip had a great end with a lunch at a Nile boat.

Best Guide, Not Just in Egypt, but in the World!

Our experience with Emo Tours with Maged as our guide was the best we have ever had with a tour guide. My husband and I have traveled all over the world and always do many tours, and hands down Maged was the best!! He is truly passionate about his work and gave us such beautiful insights into the rich and complex history of Egypt, ranging from 5,000 years ago to modern history!! I have never learned so much in a tour and been so fascinated and engrossed in the sites and stories. We had originally booked a tour to see Islamic and Coptic Cairo, and loved the tour so much we booked another tour the next day to see the Museum of Antiquities. The Islamic and Coptic Cairo tour showed me a history of Egypt I was entirely unfamiliar with as you usually only focus on the pyramids and Pharaohs. We saw a number of stunning mosques and churches and were captivated by stories of the formidable historic figures for which they were built. The next day at the Museum of Antiquities, I will say some museums can get to be a bit long and boring, but I felt as if I was almost experiencing history as Maged managed to navigate us through the entire museum and again, give us such interesting and colorful stories of antiquity! You cannot see this museum on your own as you will miss so much! We were shown all of artifacts of the greatest significance, as well as hidden gems we would have overlooked if not for Maged’s wealth of knowledge. The other tour guides we had pale in comparison, I really wish I hadn’t pre-booked other non refundable tours, as I would have chosen Maged to be our guide for the entire trip in a heartbeat. Not only did we have an amazing experience, we now have a true friend in Egypt! Don’t pass up Emo Tours and Maged if you come to Egypt, you will not regret it!

Absolutely amazing by every way possible!

I’m a solo traveler, first time in Egypt and booked this tour last minute, a day before. Emo tours communicated with me very promptly to confirm pick up from hotel. I was a little bit anxious ahead of time touring the Coptic Cairo and Islamic Cairo, but my tour guide Tonsi and his coworker, driver Sayed immediately made me feel comfortable. I like to think Tonsi was like my body guard. It’s very safe in Egypt, I didn’t experience anything that made me worry. But having a good tour guide is wonderful, because they help you with just about anything and make sure that you are not harassed by the local salespeople. Tonsi also took me to the Khan al-khalili bazaar at the end of the tour. He was teaching me how to bargain properly and not overpay, or end up buying fake items thinking they are real. I was quickly able to purchase the items I was looking for without the headache I would have had if I was trying to do it by myself. He has great knowledge about the Egyptian history, and all the landmarks. Tonsi was able to share things about each location that I hadn’t heard before. He is also very funny, and the whole day we spent together touring places I enjoyed his company. I learned so many new things about the Islam religion as well as the culture of Egypt today. Tonsi is incredible taking photographs. He knows the best places and wants to make sure you get beautiful photos. We had a delicious local lunch. I’m in Egypt for total of 9 days, now half way through my vacation, and I absolutely love it. I can’t wait to come back! Emo tours is a great company and I definitely recommend them and Tonsi to anyone! I couldn’t have hoped for a better day!

Religious tour to el cairo

The guide showed up on time and the tour met the expectations. He was very kind and willing to explain all the details of every place visited during the tour. We finished having lunch in a pretty nice place with views of the Nile river and egyptian main tower. Totally value for money compared with other tours. Not rushing, it was quite nice experience for being my first private tour. Alvaro

Great day with outstanding guide and driver

My wife and I arrived in Cairo 1 day early for a week long organized tour of Egypt and decided to book a day tour with EMO Tours (Islamic and Christian Cairo Day Tour including Lunch). This turned out to be a great decision. Both our guide, Ahmed (aka Nour), and driver, Mohamed, were excellent. Nour is very passionate about his city (and country). He provided a terrific historical and cultural context at each or our stops (and also during our drive through the crazy streets of Cairo). It was a great way to start our adventure in Egypt.

Excellent tour by an experienced tour guide

Had a great full day tour with Essam, who is very knowledgeable and friendly, showed me around the Coptic and Islamic Cairo, and introduced some local and religion information. It's an eye-opening experience for me and highly recommended.
