Ahmed y Shorouk son las personas más increíbles, son anfitriones maravillosos que crean una noche en El Cairo que nunca se olvidará. Este fue el punto culminante de nuestro viaje y esto es mucho más que una "clase de cocina" Por favor, vaya y pase una noche con Ahmed y Shorouk, incluso si por lo general no te gusta cocinar. Esto es simplemente divertido en la cocina y usted puede ser sorprendido. No esperaba disfrutar de la "clase", pero esta fue una visión muy relajada de algunas recetas tradicionales egipcias que podremos recrear en casa.
Ahmed estaba disponible para cualquier pregunta antes de nuestra visita a su casa. Él fue capaz de ayudarnos en la reorganización de otro tour y también monitoreó nuestro viaje en Uber para asegurarse de que llegáramos seguros. Todo esto inmediatamente nos hizo sentir como si estuviéramos visitando amigos para la cena.
Nos encontramos con Ahmed en una zona muy concurrida de El Cairo y nos unimos a él en un tuk tuk que nos llevó a través de pequeñas calles que eran difíciles para los coches. Este fue el comienzo de nuestra oportunidad de ver el "verdadero" Cairo. Shorouk nos estaba esperando en su casa y Ahmed explicó que esta casa familiar, en 3 niveles , también era el hogar de la abuela de sus hijos y que la casa había sido construida para la familia extensa por el abuelo de Ahmed y que la calle había sido nombrada en su honor. Se nos mostró la manera en que la familia de Ahmed, y otros en la calle fueron capaces de comprar provisiones de la tienda local unas cuantas casas a lo largo llamando la atención del comerciante y luego bajar un cubo de la ventana para las compras.
Ahmed y Shorouk tienen 2 niñas encantadoras que también jugaron un papel en ayudarnos a entender la vida egipcia. La chica más joven estaba celebrando su cumpleaños y tuvimos el privilegio de compartirlo con pastel y cantando feliz cumpleaños tanto en inglés como en árabe.
La comida era absolutamente fantástico. Comimos los platos que todos habíamos preparado y había algo de comida adicional que Shorouk había hecho previamente. Todo estaba delicioso y abundante. Aprendimos mucho sobre la vida familiar egipcia, pero también Ahmed y Shorouk son guías turísticos muy experimentados y bien informados.
Esta familia es increíblemente cálido y amable
y tener la capacidad de poner a todos a gusto y darles la bienvenida como parte de su familia.
Esto fue mucho más que una experiencia de cinco estrellas!

Maravillosa manera de experimentar más de El Cairo
Una experiencia maravillosa, que fue más allá de una clase de cocina típica para compartir realmente un lado familiar de El Cairo que se sentía verdadero, amoroso y complejo.
Desde el primer hasta el último minuto, nos dieron la bienvenida e intriga. La comida era genial y estimulante de conversación; en general una gran noche, que es muy recomendable.

Shorouk and Ahmed were amazing hosts! I had a great time at their home. We were joined by two other strangers-turned-friends that I wouldn't have met if not for this experience 🩷
My favorite part was the deep conversation about Egyptian way of life, customs, culture, aspirations, and struggles. We went beyond the customary introduction to the food and really delved deep into the what Egypt is at the moment and how its people persevere despite 🩷

Delicious and fun!!
GREAT time cooking and hanging with Ahmed and his family! The food was wonderful and we loved being in a traditional home. Ahmed and Shorouk’s 2 daughters are so sweet, it was truly a family experience. And we did NOT leave feeling hungry…!

This was one of the best authentic experience's in egypt. You’ll be hosted by an amazing family and they’ll show you everything about the egyptian culture and wonderful hospitality. We really learned a lot about cooking egyptian food and more.

A don’t miss opportunity!
Ahmed and Sharouk along with their delightful, multi-lingual daughters are fantastic hosts! They are warm, inviting, interesting and interested in their guests! This is an exceptional opportunity to visit real Egyptians in their home and learn how to make local dishes. You will want to take the whole family home with you and I feel I have made new friends for life!

Many unforgettable moments packed into one night
What a lovely warm-hearted family! They showed us how to make several Egyptian dishes and we also talked about the history of certain foods - like why there is pasta in koshari. I enjoyed the molokhia soup the most, it reminded me of a vegetable dish from Zimbabwe called derere...I gave koshari a second chance - it was better than the one in Abou Tarek. We also chatted about music and got to see some rare coins. An unforgettable experience, you must meet them all!

Amazing family experience in Cario
We loved getting to know more about how people live in Egypt, and Ahmed and Shorouk´s hospitality was outstanding. You will have an experience that is truly genuine and authentically Egyptian. We couldn't have asked for a better way to enjoy one of our evenings in Cairo! Thank you for this unique experience.

Delightful, a MUST do!
Ahmed, Shorouk, and their children are delightful, smart, and fun. They are open to being asked all questions which made the visit as culturally as gastronomically wonderful! The food was delicious and plentiful, and it was fun to cook together. This 5-star experience is a must! Do it early in your trip as it will set you up for a wonderful stay in Cairo.
