Perfect experience in Nile Cruise and best Tour guide
I’ve met some tour guides but Ahmed Sliem is absolutely my favourite one. He explains so well and with a perfect knowledge of Ancient Egypt. Also, he was so kind with us, never missed us a thing. Always worried with our well-being and very funny. It was a perfect journey if im being honest. I recommend him to anyone. Perfect!

Aswan to Luxor 4 Day Cruise
I did the cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Aswan has amazing spices and herbs and Luxor is a little gem in the middle of now where. I had a private guide named Ahmed, he was very capable and very fluent English. As a solo traveller he took care of me personally, provided local knowledge and tips (what every traveler needs). I would recommend requesting for Ahmed Sliem as a guide on any of the Nile Cruises with Luxor and Aswan Travel.

One of my best trips to date thanks to a greatly organised tour and the most knowledgeable Egyptologist for a tour guide
I am used to taking solo trips and I usually like planning all my itineraries myself, but for this trip to Egypt I decided to go with a tour guide for a couple of reasons:
1. Safety: as a solo female traveller, I wanted to be able to explore multiple sites between Aswan and Luxor hassle-free even after dark;
2. History and insider knowledge: I really wanted to dive deep into the history of Ancient Egypt, and I felt that relying on the usual audio guides/books would not do it justice.
Taking this private tour made this trip one of my best and favourite trips to date, and a special mention to my tour guide and the best Egyptologist out there - Ahmed Helmi, who made me feel like a true VIP on this tour. On the first day of the tour I was first picked up at my hotel, and the tour began with the visit of Aswan High Dam, followed by a magnificent boat trip to Philae island. As we started early in the morning, we had plenty of free time in the afternoon, so after checking in on the boat (aka the floating 5* hotel), I wanted to explore some more, so I asked about options and was offered an optional tour to the Nubian village. Honestly, what an experience! My guide arranged for a private boat transfer from our floating hotel to the village, we started around 4pm and I got to see Nile in all it's beauty! Upon arrival to the Nubian village there is a very cute local market with pieces from the local artisans where you are sure to find some great souvenirs & gifts. But the best part about this village is that locals have pet crocodiles, and you get an opportunity to cuddle with them!
The next morning I decided to take another optional tour to Abu Simbel, which is about 3h drive from Aswan in one direction, so it was an early start, but absolutely worth it! The best part is that my guide Ahmed would always give a lot of history/background information before we reach the sites, which makes you appreciate it even more. I feel that after this trip I could successfully pass an exam on Ancient Egypt thanks to my guide, and he even taught me a few hieroglyphics so that I can understand which God or Goddess is represented on the walls :) After we returned from Abu Simbel, our floating hotel left Aswan and we started our Nile cruise, which again was breathtaking.
At dusk we arrived to Kom Ombo and got to see the Temple of Sobek and Horus, which is open till late. It was an interesting experience doing the visit after sunset, as it had special charm to it. In the nearby crocodile museum you also get to see mummified crocodiles!
Day 3 started in Edfu at 5:30 am with a horse ride to the Horus temple. We were there just in time for the opening of the temple, and having my private tour guide allowed me to explore the parts I was interested without depending on anyone else like in bigger tour groups, or even worse - walking around without any guide and missing out on the meaning and context of the various sites. We then continued our cruise to Luxor, where we were planning to visit Karnak complex and Luxor temple that day. Our boat had some delays due to river locks, so instead of rushing through the programme, Ahmed has kindly offered to postpone the visit of Karnak to the next day (as we would be done with West Bank by noon), so that I get an opportunity to spend there a couple of hours instead of 30mins, which again added to the excellent service.
On day 4 we drove to the West Bank and were amongst the first visitors to explore the tombs of pharaohs, which means there were moments I was in the tombs by myself with no other tourists. Valley of the Kings was an exceptional place to visit - there are several tombs that are open to visit, but only 3 can be accessed with 1 ticket, and again I trusted Ahmed to pick the best ones for us to visit and I was not disappointed! 3 other tombs are available for visit each one with a separate individual ticket, so I decided to visit 2 of them: the tomb of Tutankhamen and Seti 1st. The cost for the two additional tickets was ~40$, but the inside was quite spectacular and I am very happy I added them to the tour.
There are many more great things to say about this tour, but my main takeaway is that having a private tour with everything pre-arranged, and a very knowledgeable local guide has changed my view towards booking guided tours. The cost is definitely higher than if I tried to manage by myself, but the quality of the service and the amount of positive emotions was worth every penny. If you are planning to visit Egypt - I could not recommend Ahmed Helmi highly enough - he is a very passionate Egyptologist, and every time he answered my questions it felt as if he brought me on a journey to Ancient Egypt, so if you are travelling anywhere from Aswan to Alexandria - you will not regret booking a tour with him.

We almost decided to book our travel independently, but chose to let the experts do it and we’re so glad we did.
After flying into Cairo from Seattle we found ourselves in great hands. George Edward out of Luxor was our private Egyptologist/tour guide, deftly taking us from site to site, temple to temple, tomb to tomb, weaving us in and out of sometimes crowded spaces with our 11 & 13yo kids, helping keep everyone in good spirits. We simply could not have asked for a better experience. Incredibly knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. Explaining details and backstories that helped us turn what would otherwise be wandering around aimlessly amongst these historical sites into a cohesive story that helped put everything we were seeing into context. Translating random hieroglyphs that we asked about as well as teaching us enough context to begin to understand for ourselves what was going on. The pace was quick in spots, but we never felt rushed where it counted. Incredibly friendly and helpful, George always ensured we knew when we needed to be where. The river cruise was a delight, and it was great to have a mobile home base as we toured around. The extra activities we did were all amazing as well, the balloon ride is a must-do, and well worth the early wake up. We are at the half-way mark on our trip with some down-time in Horghada before we head up to Cairo, and George has set the bar incredibly high. If you’re looking to do a tour, just book it. Ask for George if he’s available. :)

Top organisiert, sehr guter Guide

The Nile Cruise
It was a unique and extremely pleasant experience to travel with the floating hotel on the Nile, stopping in a different place every day! Everything was wonderful, except for the internet, which worked very poorly.

A cruise to always remember
We did a 4-day (3 nights) cruise from Aswan to Luxor on Le Fayan with our magnificent tour guide Dr. Ashraf.
Everything was perfectly arranged, including pick-up, tickets, food, transport and everything else. A complete hassle-free package. Our tour guide Dr. Ashraf was absolutely incredible, with many interesting stories and great explanations. It was a lot of fun talking with Ashraf and he also helped us get great prices at the market.
Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience Aswan and Luxor!

Book with Hany!
Hany and his team are absolutely top notch. His advice about activities and services was always spot on for us. Mohamed, the private guide he provided for us, was an incredible source of knowledge and greatly deepened our understanding of the amazing things we saw in Egypt. On top of that he is a thoroughly pleasant person and a real pleasure to spend time with. I would recommend Hany's services to anyone looking for help arranging their trip to Egypt.
