… not worth it
Jeep safari: VERYYYYY UNSAFE!! The jeeps had a bench on both sides without seatbelts and the drivers are ridiculously crazy. 90 km/h off road?! Are you for real?! He didn’t even listen to us when we asked him to take it easy and slow down.
The top of the mountain was nice. The view was good and we made good pictures.
We waited long before we got any water. By the way the tea was half filled with the tea stuff… BBQ was poor and because they had no power we were too scared to eat this meat.
The rest of this evening was boring as hell and we didn't like the guide because was passive aggressive. There were a lot of stars but to be honest the sky looked noooothing like the pictures.
Right before we got back into the vans, a guide suggested us to pay tip for the driver, shouldn’t we be able to deside ourself?

Great fun, interesting - something different
I'm very interested in astronomy so this seemed like a great idea for a trip as I've always wanted to see the Milky Way. Pick up communication was great, and the tour ran smoothly. I think our driver played a key role in ensuring we had a great time - in short, he was CRAZY 😁. Mahmoud drove like a lunatic over the dunes, whilst Eminem blared out the jeep's speakers, and we caught plenty of air, landing with a jolt. Great fun! 😊The other jeeps drove in a straight line, missing the bumps 😴. He also fixed our head gear so bring a large scarf/sarong and he'll wrap you up to look the part. The desert and mountains were spectacular in terms of colour as the setting sun hit them so take pics of the landscape.
The Beduin were as friendly as ever, welcoming us with tea, and cooked us a great meal of chicken, kebab, and salad.
You must bring decent shoes like trainers, if you want to climb up to see the sunset and in the winter months a warm jacket is essential as it gets cold in the desert. Also, bring some loo roll and ensure you have a light for visiting the loo as there is no electricity....hand wipes/gel are also a good idea.
As for the stars, the guide was great with lots of info and he shared photos with us via WhatsApp afterwards. They were 4 telescopes set up - 2 at jupiter and 2 at the moon - I would have liked more gazing time tbh but the guys were pretty quick at packing up. Avoid a full moon if you can as it makes star gazing tricky. I'm pleased to say I finally saw the Milky Way and could see the brown gas swirls of Jupiter! If you can, download one of the many free star map apps before your visit so you can navigate the constellations.
All in all, a great experience and definitely worth doing. I dropped it a star as I could not pay via TripAdvisor whilst in Egypt, so had to get my daughter to do it for me from the UK, plus I felt I didn't always know what the itinerary was, so wasn't sure what I should be doing or what was happening next etc. Thoroughly recommend however.

Exciting, breathtaking, educational and fun- an unforgettable experience
What an amazing experience! The jeep picked us up from the hotel at the time we had been told by WhatsApp. The driver,Tarek and the guide, Sedek, were really friendly and helpful. The off- road ride into the desert was very exhilarating, a little white-knuckle at times, but Tarek was obviously totally in control. The Bedouin settlement was certainly remote and it was very interesting to see the demonstrations of their way of life. The camel ride was very short, thankfully!! The walk up to the ridge wasn’t too difficult in trainers or shoes, but some people were wearing open sandals or flip flops and they really struggled! But the guides and Bedouin boys were on hand to help if needed. The sunset view was breathtaking. We then had food which was simple and very tasty. We sat by the fire for a while and then the stars! It was absolutely glorious! We saw planets through the telescope and then lay on the sand whilst Sedek and Adham explained what we were seeing and gave us so much wonderful information.

Starry, starry night🌠🌌
The journey out in the jeep! The food, considering we were in the desert was great, the toilet was an experience🫣. Singing around the camp fire was lovely and the camel ride and then finally , the actual star gazing with the experienced and so, so, knowledgeable Moosa, was brilliant!

An unforgettable experience!
I loved this experience! The guide Adham (not sure how you spell it!) was so knowledgeable and pointed out the constellations you could see on that night. It was such a beautiful setting, laying on the desert floor looking up at the stars. We were also really lucky to see a shooting star! I was a bit worried about the food after reading some review but it was the best food we have had since being in Egypt!

Flying to the Stars
Thank you for the lovely experience. I can only recommend it to everybody. We were welcomed very nicely and they gave us a lot of attention. Arabi is an absolute wonderful guide. Dad had an injured foot therefore had trouble walking, everybody helped and took care of her and me very well. The pick up in the hotel went well, and communication, too.

Awesome
Super nice experience. Specially the stars part. The weather was perfect and no moon so perfect for stargazing. Good telescope but most of all no light pollution took the opportunity to take some milky way pictures. The desert was nice. But if you want to see beautiful desert go to the white desert

Run away
Request for a French guide and to our surprise no guide present!
Tasteless food, hot water go the glass of coke was good.
Encourage the purchase of junk! The "camel ride" lasts 2 minutes and be careful, one lady was not well dressed but the tragedy was narrowly avoided!
Forces you to take unnecessary paid photos!
The guide was very very rude! It was really really bad and then what's the point of talking to you about a star when the sun has barely set?
Let's talk about the jeep.. it's a very old car without belts and dirty so not pleasant in short, money spent.

When we arrive, we are served tea that we don't even have time to drink.
As soon as we are served we are told that we must leave for the rest of the activity
The “camel ride” lasts just 30 seconds
There were far too many of us for this type of activity. More than 30 people for 2 telescopes... What's the point!!
And finally, the food wasn't very good.

Very very disappointed 😞
Too many people were still on the camels that the English group in front of us was already on the mountain to see the sunset
So we didn't see anything 😈
In addition, do not take the photographer, we paid 30€ for lousy but lousy photos.
We saw 2 planets through the telescope, what an adventure
The dinner is meh
No music no atmosphere
The only positive point is the driver of the 4x4
Really nice
