Hammam and Massage in One Visit: What the Two-Hour Programme Actually Involves
Published September 6, 2026

Most people book a hammam or a massage. Booking both, in that order, in one visit, is a different thing again — and it is better than either on its own for a reason worth explaining.
A hammam opens the pores and softens the muscle with heat before anyone touches you. A massage that follows warm, scrubbed skin reaches deeper and hurts less than the same massage on a cold body. The order matters. This is the programme built around it.
The two hours, step by step
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 30 min before | The driver collects you from your hotel lobby |
| Arrival | Welcome drink — tea or hibiscus — while you change |
| +15 min | The bathing ritual begins: sauna, steam, jacuzzi |
| Traditional exfoliation with the silk glove | |
| +60 min | 45-minute Swedish full body massage |
| +105 min | The relaxation lounge. Nobody moves you along |
| +120 min | Back to your hotel |
Two hours door to door, and roughly an hour and three quarters of it is yours.
What you choose
You choose the bath. The massage is always a 45-minute Swedish full body massage — the one that suits warm, freshly scrubbed skin best.
- The bath — Moroccan, Turkish, Cleopatra or VIP. If you are not sure which, the hammam guide explains what happens in each.
- The massage — 45-minute Swedish, included in the price. Would you rather have hot stone, sports or another massage? Book the hammam and the massage of your choice separately; the massage guide helps you pick.
Is it cheaper than booking both?
Yes — that is the point of it. The programme costs less than the same bath and a 45-minute Swedish massage booked separately, and the price you see is the whole price: no local tax or extra fee on the day. The exact figure depends on the bath you choose; the booking page shows it as you pick.

What is included
- Transport to and from your hotel, both ways
- Welcome drink on arrival
- The full bathing ritual — sauna, steam and jacuzzi — for the type you chose
- Traditional exfoliation
- 45-minute Swedish full body massage
- Bathrobe, towels and slippers
Not included: tips, extra massage time or add-on treatments such as a facial, and anything you buy on the day.
Who should not book this
Worth saying plainly, because two hours of heat is not right for everyone:
- If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, low blood pressure or circulation problems, ask your doctor and tell us when you book so the right treatment is arranged.
- If you have had too much sun — and by day three in Hurghada most people have — the scrub will not be comfortable. Choose the Cleopatra bath, which is gentler, or leave it a day.
- Do not shave the same morning. A scrub glove on freshly shaved skin is a bad idea.
- Leave an hour after a large meal.
When to book it
The end of a hard day: after the desert, after a full day on a boat, after a long drive back from Luxor. It is also the sensible last afternoon of a holiday — you fly home loose instead of aching.
Booking
Pick your bath, choose a date, and tell us your hotel and room number. Nothing is paid online. You hand the driver cash on the day, in EGP, EUR or USD, and if your plans change you have lost nothing.
