Luxor Day Trip

Enjoyable day trip to Luxor, to learn more about the city’s ancient history. Samira (Our Tour Guide) did a great job talking through said history and recommending various sites to visit. Her knowledge was invaluable and added immensely to the trip.

Private trip to Luxor with Legacy Tours.

I've booked a last minute day trip from Sahl Hashhes to Luxor. It was a privatectour for me and my 15-year old daughter and the whole experience from start to finish was flawless! They've emailed conformation within a minutes and also confirmed all the arrangements via WhatsApp. It was an early start at 5am and driver Ahmed was waiting for us at the reception. He provided refreshments (cold drinks and snacks) and we also had two stops during our 4-hour lobg journey. Vehicle was clean and comfortable, with working AC. Our tour-gide Samira met us at Luxor and she was amazing! Very personable, knowledgeable, patient and kind. She was happy to listen to our preferences and make amendments to planned tour itinerary. Her knowledge and passion for Egyptian history is admirable. She also patiently waited for use while we were feeding homeless puppies and taking photographs. Historical sights such as Karnak Temple, Hatshepsut Temple, Valley of Kings, Tumb of Tutankhamun are simply breathtaking, definitely worth the long journey and money. We had a lunch at traditional Egyptian restaurant and food was very fresh and tasty. Lunch included in the price of tour, only had to pay for uour drinks. Boat trip down tbe river Nile was an nice touch and welcome break in today's hot weather! Overall I am very impressed how organised and professional Legacy Tours are. We are planning to return to Egypt in the future and will definitely use their services again.

AMAZING overview of ancient Egypt!! Truly amazing!

I took my mother and I to Luxor and had the most amazing and detailed explanation of ancient Egypt!!! Professor Ahmed Elsisi was the guide and Egyptologist in Luxor, and took us through easy to understand steps of how the Ancient world worked... which was truly fascinating. Each story painted the picture vividly and we couldn't be more pleased. If you are lucky enough to get him - you will NOT be disappointed!!....I would also like to say the car that picked us up was lovely - air conditioned, drivers were polite, very attentive, stopped half way for a toilet and snack break and Hamada in particular even gifted me local mangos which is amazing... also upon our request Hamada stopped as we saw it on the way back. Everyone today was super attentive. The only con I'd say is June is very hot but don't let this put you off!!! Just take LOTS of water with you and be prepared for a lot of walking. Also even though the shops will try to sell, just be tactful and only get what you want. We should try to support the tourism economy so be fair when bargaining with locals - they need the money and we want the souvenirs! :) Overall, Egyptians - both ancient and current are absolutely so amazing!!! Thank you to the tour group again for a welcoming and lovely arrangement of day! Also.... there is not ONE photo online or through any egypt based documentary that does the temples justice. When you are there in real life there is so much for the eye to see. You will be blown away. Seeing is believing!

Wonderful tour to Luxor

The day trip to Luxor with Legacy Tours was a very pleasant experience. Our driver Said was more than punctual for our 5am pickup at our hotel. He drove safely and comfortably showing great courtesy at every possible moment. In Luxor, we met our guide, Mark Samir, an egyptologist. He was very keen on giving us as much information on the visited sites as possible (preferably in the shade) and even took a ton of pictures and videos for us. He was very kind and made our trip comfortable despite the heat. Lunch was delicious and we got plenty of water throughout the day. We arrived back in Hurghada shortly after 8pm. Overall, we would recommend this tour!

A very good day out all in all

Early start 5am long drive through the desert in nice air-conditioned car. Met with our guide Samira in Luxor. Then off we went. Samira was very knowledgeable. At the Valley of the Kings visited five tombs ( 2 had to pay extra for as advertised £27 for two adults but well worth it will need a credit or debit card to pay no cash). Samira went at our pace and explained as we went. Food was nice and tasty. A bit thank you to Samira and both the drivers. Intresting traffic to say the least.

Private Luxor day tour from Hurghada

We did a private tour of Luxor at the end of May with a 2 and 4 year old. I was a bit apprehensive about taking the boys on this trip, with them being so young, but it was an amazing day. It was a long, hot day, but with plenty of water, sun hats, sun cream and stopping regularly for breaks, it was absolutely fine. Our tour guide was incredible. She was so friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable. She was great with the boys and just put us instantly at ease. We could take things at our own pace as it was a private tour. We were never made to feel rushed. Our driver was great as well. He took us everywhere and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this company and this tour of Luxor. A trip we will never forget. Thank you :D

Amazing Luxor trip

Unbelievable trip even though it was quite hot. Abdul, our guide, was the best, super informative. We had 2 drivers because it was a 4 hour drive each way so they took turns. All of the attractions were excellent. Karnak was the highlight.

Must do

I visited Luxor on a private excursion with driver Bomba and guide Ismail. From the beginning, the communication with the agency was excellent: they were always responsive and available to answer my questions before booking. The organization was at the top! Although the balloon was cancelled due to weather conditions, an alternative was quickly found. I thank Bomba for her kindness and professionalism: I was able to rest in peace during the journey — and have her as a “bodyguard” haha! Many thanks also to Ismail, my French-speaking guide, for his clear and exciting explanations on the history of Egypt and the temples. He was very attentive, and even a photographer in his time! I loved this day, full of beautiful memories, and most importantly, I was perfectly accompanied throughout the excursion. Thank you to Bomba and Ismail for this great experience!

Fantastic day trip!

Fantastic day trip from Hurghada to Luxor with Ahmed the driver and Ahmed El Sisi our guide for the day. It’s an early 5am start but Ahmed arrived on time and we began the drive. It’s a long way but there are a couple of stops where you can buy drinks, snacks and use the facilities. We started at the valley of the kings, then the temple of hapshetsut followed by the collossi of memnon with a stop at the artists alabaster workshop in between before a buffet lunch. After this we jumped on to a felucca for a scenic trip along the Nile and returned to finally visit the habou temple which was an impressive site to behold. Ahmed the guide was extremely personable, knowledgeable and full of insight, bringing history to life and describing the many statues, glyphs and carvings in great detail. After this we were on our way back to the hotel and were able to reflect on a great day which we would absolutely recommend. Overall, the day was fantastic. If we were going to over any comments for continuous improvement or for those partaking: the car did smell a little of petrol at first which was a bit off putting at 5am but Ahmed our driver soon sorted and he also provided lots of drinks throughout the day. The cleanliness of toilets were variable with some not as clean or well equipped as others so use at your discretion. We also tipped a lot as we went round the sites so either have tips ready or be prepared to say no with no shame. Thanks again guys!
