At 8:00 am Tour expert Tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and drive to the south of Aswan which to enjoy Abu Simbel day tour from Aswan by air-conditioned vehicle. The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate in order to save these temples from the flood. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and to Ramesses II himself. The great Abu Simbel temple is also called The Sun Temple of Ramses II.The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also Called Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the Sun God so in a symbolic way, the two Temples, that of Ramesses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun God together as one. Spend around 3 hours there then take the way back to Aswan

  2. 1 hour

Ramesses II variously also spelled Rameses[6] or Ramses, 'Ra is the one who bore him' or 'born of Ra', Koinē Greek: Ῥαμέσσης, romanized: Rhaméssēs, c. 1303 BC – July or August 1213; reigned 1279–1213 BC[7]), also known as Ramesses the Great, was the third pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty of Egypt. He is often regarded as the greatest, most celebrated, and most powerful pharaoh of the New Kingdom, itself the most powerful period of Ancient Egypt.[8] His successors and later Egyptians called him the "Great Ancestor".

  3. 1 hour

This article is about the Egyptian queen and wife of Ramesses II. For other persons by this name, see Nefertari (disambiguation). Nefertari Nefertari, also known as Nefertari Meritmut, was an Egyptian queen and the first of the Great Royal Wives (or principal wives) of Ramesses the Great.[1] Nefertari means 'beautiful companion' and Meritmut means 'Beloved of [the goddess] Mut'. She is one of the best known Egyptian queens, among such women as Cleopatra, Nefertiti, and Hatshepsut, and one of the most prominent not known or thought to have reigned in her own right. She was highly educated and able to both read and write hieroglyphs, a very rare skill at the time. She used these skills in her diplomatic work, corresponding with other prominent royals of the time. Her lavishly decorated tomb, QV66, is one of the largest and most spectacular in the Valley of the Queens. Ramesses also constructed a temple for her at Abu Simbel next to his colossal monument there.

Great tour, must visit!

Abu Simbel is a must visit. The grandeur was amazing. Our guide, Sam, was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating to our needs. He helped us take many photos! The tour started punctually and was comfortable throughout the long ride.

Comfortable and quick visit to Abu Simbel

We opted for the 4am departure and arrived around 7:30am. It wasn't super crowded when we arrived. The driver was driving fast and was professional. Why 4 and not 5 stars? You only get 1.5h in Abu Simbel, which for the price and time taken to travel there and back does not seem enough. We'd prefer to be able to stay there for 2-3h.

Great tour and guide

If you can fly direct, do that. Bob Mohammad was a great guide, very accommodating. He and our driver were great to spend the day with.

You MUST do this trip! Abu Simbel temples

We got a pick up for 8am. It was perfect, the 4/5am pick up would have been too exhausting! Abu Simbel is simply incredible. 3244 years old. This is a MUST if you are in Aswan! 3 hours drive each way. Ask driver for 1.5 hrs at temples. 1 hour is NOT enough! I cannot stress how magnificent these temples are in my opinion as good as Karnak and Valley of the King's in Luxor! If not better!

Pleasant day trip

Ahmad is a great driver. Able to cover the distance in about 2.5 hrs. On the way out at the 2/3 mark, we had a nice water break. He was patient and alert as we indicated we would take 2 hours to cover the site. On the way back, he bought us a delicious falefel snack with a can of coke zero each. Highly recommended driver. Use google translate as it helps to facilitate things.

DONT DO IT

Dont use this company. We were picked up by the guide at Aswan airport and proceeded towards Abu Simbel. We paid the highest amount for this tour in hopes that it reflected a higher grade of service than the others. It did not. The guide we were with was extremely interested in finding ways to get more money from us in extra bookings and shopping excursions. It was a 7 hour car ride filled with him speaking with various entities on the phone, plotting schemes back and forth which made my family and I extremely uncomfortable. It ruined our trip to Aswan to be honest. The tenacity of his constant questioning of our work and financial probing along with the relay of our information to whomever his co- conspirators were on the phone made me even message my friends back home to have them worry for us. Do not book this excursion and maybe not even go with EMO tours because Im sure this is endemic within their organization. Felt more like a gangster than a guide.

Emo Tours should be more responsive in their communication

We arrived by cruise and did not know where to meet the driver. Emo Tours did not respond to our numerous WhatApp inquiries and phone calls, so until literally the last minute we did not know if we were going to make the tour. Almost half an hour past the agreed time, a van with a logo of Tour Sara showed up and the driver showed our passports photos to confirm. The van and driver was great though.

It is really customizable!

Tour operator agreed to change the pickup time and location per our request only 2 hours in advance. Our train from Cairo was delayed more than one hour. We were anxious and worried missing the tour. But it turned out be a very wonderful trip.
