    Full day

As per requested time will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and drive to the south of Aswan which is around 3hrs drive to enjoy Abu Simbel day tour from Aswan by air-conditioned vehicle. The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate in order to save these temples from the flood. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and to Ramesses II himself. The great Abu Simbel temple is also called The Sun Temple of Ramses II.The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also Called Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the Sun God so in a symbolic way, the two Temples, that of Ramesses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun God together as one. Spend around 3 hours there then take the way back to Aswan.

Wasted time and beat up my back

He showed up late, took the local roads (harrowing) instead of the highway, and made us go to a hard sell family shop after we declined. The tour included lunch, but he charged us 400 egp when it cost him 200. We tipped him well and had to just throw money at the problem so we could part company. Rough day unnecessarily. Could have saved 1.5 hours driving on normal roads instead of through the middle of every village.

Gorgeous trip

Excellent driver, nice guide who gave us all information in the car. That was a clever idea. Well prepared before we got to the gorgeous site! Guide also arranged for lunch in a local restaurant. Delicious food was served. Thank you. Long trip completely worth it.

Fun day tour at abu simbel

We had booked a trip from Aswan to Abu Simbell. Tour started at 4am and we reached around 8. We did spend around 2 hours at the place. Our agent Kerollos Osama was very helpful.

Morning in Abu simbel from Aswan

The temple is amazing, we went the day you are recommended not to go which is Thursday when cruises go but there was no other way to do it. The guide was good knew about it and we had time to take pictures. It's expensive for the duration of the activity but it was the best we found and you avoid trouble

Good driver service, but short stay in Abu Simbel

We booked driver-only service and had on-time pick up at 4:30 AM and safe driving to Abu Simbel. Driving is good and safe. The road through the desert opens at 5 AM, so we reached temples area by 8:45 AM. We were told to meet at 10:45 AM to drive back. Then we started queuing for the ticket and entrance - it takes at least 20-30 minutes! Luckily we bought tickets from a kind local for cash without a queue (same price) and queued for entrance for like 20 minutes, otherwise it could take an hour! Then we had only 1.5 hour for the temples, which are ridiculously crowded and 1.5 hours is barely enough to explore them and the area. So we came back to the driver by 10:45 AM and he said we drive back to Aswan. WHAAAT? I thought the stay in Abu Simbel will be 3 hours? Where is stop for lunch? Where is 3 hours in Abu Simbel, instead of 2 with a queue? VERY SHORT STAY IN ABU SIMBEL! Please, allow tourist 3-4 hours there, not mere 2, or at least allocate this 1 hour for lunch! Luckily we had snacks and there is coffee/toilet stop in a desert. Came back to Aswan by 3 PM super hungry! 8 hours of driving and barely 1.5 hours seeing temples. Okay, at least managed to see Aswan more that day. Just please give more time for next tourists there, otherwise way too rush. PS: driver speaks 0 English, but drives safely and good and doesn't ask for tips.

Abu simbel

The trip was fine, we were picked up at the agreed time and arrived at abu simbel in a good time. What made the tour a 3 out of 5 was the guide who waited for us in the temple, gave a very brief explanation and in a very poor Spanish, I do not remember if name, was always walking ahead of us, hurried, running to finish the visit. I don't try to provide us with information and knowledge. Temples are worth visiting
