Amazing trip to Giza from Sharms
We had an amazing day trip from Sharm El Sheikh to Giza. My wife and I travelled in a small group, which made the experience much more personal and relaxed. Everything was well organised from start to finish.
Our guide, Ahmed, was absolutely wonderful — extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and very resourceful. He shared fascinating insights about the history of the pyramids and the Sphinx, answered all our questions patiently, and made the whole experience engaging and enjoyable.
Visiting the Giza Pyramids was truly unforgettable, and having such a knowledgeable guide made a huge difference. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Sharm El Sheikh, especially if you’re looking for a well-organised tour with a small group and an excellent guide.

Pick up 3 : 30 Uhr Klimaanlage Minibus.

Cairo trip
I booked this Cairo day trip from Sharm El Sheikh through Viator. I initially had trouble completing the purchase through the app, so I used the chat feature. The agent sent me a payment link, which worked, and during that chat I was told that GEM (Grand Egyptian Museum) entry tickets were included in the tour.
We were picked up from our hotel on time at 3:45 am and taken to the airport. Our flight departed at 5:40 am and we landed in Cairo about an hour later. Upon arrival, we met our tour guide and driver at the arrivals.
Our first stop was a Nile River boat trip, which is optional and costs an extra €13 per person. We decided to do it and really enjoyed it we were the only people on the boat, which made it peaceful and special.
Next, we visited the Pyramids and the Sphinx. This was the highlight of the trip. We were able to walk close to the pyramids, touch them, take plenty of photos, and see the Sphinx. Be prepared for a long walk on rocky and uneven paths comfortable shoes are a must.
After that, we were taken to an oil and perfume shop, which felt like a sales trap. We were asked to sit down, offered tea or coffee and shown various oils and perfumes. Prices were €90 for four small bottles or €120 for medium bottles, including a candle diffuser. I do like oils and perfumes but I felt pressured to buy, which made the experience uncomfortable.
Lunch followed. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing the chicken was very dry. There were several choices. Drinks were not included and cost around €3 each. The coffee and juice were good.
By around 1 pm, we were happy to head to the Grand Egyptian Museum, as we were excited for this part. However, this is where the biggest issue occurred. At the entrance, the tour guide told us that the museum tickets were not included and that we needed to buy them ourselves. I explained that I had been told otherwise during booking.
The guide called the travel agency to confirm. The customer service agent was extremely rude- shouting at me, demanding screenshots of the chat, and not allowing me to explain. I suggested checking the chat history but she said she was not from Viator and could not access it. While that may be true, her customer service skills were very poor.
After wasting over an hour arguing, we had no choice but to try to buy the tickets ourselves. Tickets must be purchased by scanning a QR code. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and hundreds of people were trying to do the same thing. A staff member offered to sell tickets on his phone, but I was not comfortable entering my card details on someone else’s device.
Eventually after multiple failed attempts we were told tickets could be issued through the guide if we paid 4,350 Egyptian pounds in cash. At that point, I just wanted to enter the museum, as we only had 2–2.5 hours left before returning to the airport. We agreed.
The museum itself is incredible, but sadly I couldn’t fully enjoy it because of the stress and frustration earlier. The whole experience left me feeling like I was constantly being treated as a walking ATM and it honestly put me off returning to Cairo.

Kairo-Reise

Excellent trip
Excellent trip and at a very competitive price. Our guide in Cairo,Rapha, was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable even about the GEM which has only opened recently. Two shopping stops was one two many, would have preferred an extra hour in the museum as there is so much there. However an excellent trip. One tip... If you do get an e-visa and arrive in Sharm el sheikh you MUST still get your visa stamped into your passport on arrival or you'll have to go to the Central Police station to sort it out
Wonderfull trip thank you

Solo weiblicher Safe
Solo-Frau Safe. .

Perfect Pyramid Experience with Exceptional Care
I can’t recommend this tour enough! We had a personal driver, guide, and car, and from start to finish everything was handled with so much care. I let them know in advance that my mum is still recovering from a hip replacement and can only walk short distances before swelling, and they truly went above and beyond.
I’ve done this trip before, but this time felt even more special. Mario, our guide, made sure my mum didn’t miss out on anything. He knew all the best shortcuts and quieter routes, helping her get around comfortably while still seeing every highlight. His patience and kindness made such a difference to our day.
And lunch… wow. The view from the window overlooking the pyramids was absolutely incredible one of those moments that feels completely priceless.
If you’re looking for a well-organized, thoughtful, and unforgettable experience, I couldn’t recommend this team more. They helped create a memory my mum and I will cherish forever.
