Really well organised, excellent guide and good value for money
We took two day trips whilst staying in Makadi Bay and this one was really well organised. Communication was great beforehand, so we knew what was happening, even though we only booked two days before the trip.
We were collected from our hotel on time and dropped at the airport with boarding passes and met at the airport in Cairo by Fahme our guide and Mr Muhammad, our driver.
Fahme was entertaining, knowledgeable and we learned a lot without being overloaded with information. He pointed out lots of social and religious things of interest as well as the history of course.
We headed first to the museum, where we had a tour of the highlights, along with lessons in how to read hieroglyphs. Mr Muhammad was always waiting with his air conditioned minibus and cold bottles of water exactly where we needed him and drove quietly and efficiently through the chaotic Cairo traffic.
Lunch was a buffet in an upstairs restaurant which catered for similar western parties and had a view of the pyramids. We paid for our own drinks here but there was a good choice of both food and drinks.
Then we were driven to the pyramids. Fahme knew the best places to take photos and we opted for a camel ride for the children and a horse drawn cart for us to take us to the panoramic viewpoint (extra charge cash or card) which was great for photos. The hop on hop off bus took us right up to the pyramids but we struggled a bit with the heat. Back on the bus and next stop the Sphinx. We got there just before closing at 4.30pm but Fahme took us to another viewpoint slightly further away where we also got good photos.
Mr Muhammad was waiting perfectly placed again to cool us down and take us to the perfume shop. Here we had cold drinks and an interesting chat with the owner about the range of goods. Then on to the government papyrus shop where we saw how papyrus was made and were able to choose our own cartouche and have our names inscribed in hieroglyphs (extra charge).
Fahme then took us inside the central mosque which was both beautiful and fascinating and an extra stop I'm so glad we made.
Our boat trip on the Nile was next (extra charge) and perfectly timed so that we could watch the sunset and see the city come alive. Mr Muhammad then drove us right into the centre of the old city and Fahme guided us through the sights and sounds and smells of the packed streets of the evening bazaars before we were dropped back at the airport for a very late flight, collected and taken back to our hotel in Hurghada.
It was certainly a lot of money, with extra things to pay for along the way and it was a long and tiring day, but utterly wonderful. The company were really well organised and communicative and we knew what was happening and felt safe and well looked after.
We would definitely recommend the trip, the company and Fahme our guide and Mr Muhammad our driver. They have got this experience spot on! THANK YOU.

Ausgezeichneter Tag
Absolut erstaunlicher Tag in Kairo. Das Museum war fantastisch und Akmed war ein hervorragender Führer, der die wichtigsten und bedeutendsten Stücke hervorhob. Er war so sachkundig und machte das Museum wirklich die Reise wert. Die Pyramiden waren so viel besser, als wir erwartet hatten, mit Akmed arrangierte Kamelreiten und Fotos für uns und arrangierte für uns, um auf die Steine selbst zu steigen. Die Flusskreuzfahrt war sehr schön, die Sonne über dem Nil zu beobachten. Fahrer Mustafa war auch fantastisch, bewegte das Fahrzeug, so dass wir nie zu weit in der Hitze gehen mussten. Ich hätte nicht mehr verlangen können. Sehr empfehlenswert diese Reise 😀

Top Class
What a fantastic tour of the pyramids and Cairo. It was amazing value for money. You couldn’t book this tour yourself for anywhere near this price. Everything this company said they would do, they did, and they did it when they said they would. We took the reserve now, pay later option, so had the freedom to cancel up to the day before the trip for peace of mind. As soon as our payment went through, we received our flight tickets and the communication was first class. Everything was taken care of, you just turn up and they do the rest.
From leaving our hotel to arriving back, we had professional staff with us. There was no waiting around anywhere, our A/C minibus/driver were always waiting for us.
Flights were excellent - Egyptair -national carrier - all you would expect.
There were 6 other people on our tour.
Our guide was polite, funny and knowledgable.
Food was great.
The tickets for pyramids (amazing) Cairo museum (amazing) were all handed to us when we got off the bus at each location, so absulutely no waiting in queues. Straight in!
We took the optional Nile cruise for £10 per person. The boat was so modern, A/C and pristine. We were out on the Nile for over an hour and saw all the sights.
Finished off with trip to old Cairo and bazaar. Thought we’d be pestered all the time but couldn’t have been more wrong. Things have changed in Cairo!
Lastly, the guide/driver took us to McDonald’s just outside the airport, so we wouldn’t get ripped off by airport prices. How thoughtful was that? They could have just dropped us at the airport and gone home.
The day after we got back, the company sent us a text to check whether we enjoyed everything.
These people really care about what you think of them and what they do.
We have visited Cairo before, about 25 years ago, but this trip was head and shoulders above that one.

Im Großen und Ganzen gut
Der Ausflug war super, jedoch war mir alles ein bisschen zu hektisch.
Eine halbe Stunde bei den Pyramiden war jetzt nicht so viel um sich dort umzuschauen.
Fahmi hat aber einen super Job gemacht und hatte auf alle Fragen eine Antwort.
Der Papyrusladen hätte aber nicht sein müssen, der Verkäufer wurde sehr bockig als wir nichts kaufen wollten.

Hervorragende Organisation
Ein unglaubliches Erlebnis! Die Organisation war perfekt, vom Treffen mit dem Fahrer um 3:50 Uhr vor dem Hotel über den Empfang am Flughafen durch den Reiseleiter, die Ausflüge und die Rückfahrt nach Hurghada und zurück zum Hotel – es war einfach perfekt.

Fantastische Erfahrung mit Book Tour Egypt
Wir haben die Reise für August für meine Eltern und mich gebucht. Die Kommunikation war perfekt; sie schickten uns die Tickets per E-Mail und WhatsApp. Zur weiteren Erleichterung der Kommunikation wurde auch eine eigene WhatsApp-Gruppe eingerichtet, wir wurden vorab über unsere Tour und Abholung informiert.
Die Abholung kam rechtzeitig, wir wurden vom Fahrer Mohammed begrüßt, bei der Ankunft am Flughafen Kairo trafen wir auch unseren Guide Ahmed.
Die Tour war gut geplant, sowohl Mohammed als auch Ahmed waren sehr hilfreich. Ahmed ist sehr sachkundig, begeistert und energisch und hielt die gesamte Gruppe gut engagiert. Meine Eltern waren älter, und sie gingen aus dem Weg, um unser Wohlbefinden zu gewährleisten - während der Reise zu sein.
Der Rückweg zu unserem Hotel in Hurghada verlief ebenfalls nahtlos mit einem arrangierten Transport. Wir fühlten uns sicher und gut versorgt während der gesamten Reise.
Ich würde diese Erfahrung jedem empfehlen.

Die Reise war gut geplant...
Die Reise war von Anfang bis Ende gut geplant. Unser Reiseleiter Fahme war erstaunlich und machte unsere Reise sehr unvergesslich. Ein langer Tag, aber es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, wenn Sie einen Besuch der Pyramiden und Kairo erleben möchten.

All the sights of Cairo
We had an amazing trip to Cairo hosted by our very kind and knowledgeable guide Fahme. Brilliant with our teenagers and made the trip very special. Would wholeheartedly recommend. As well as the museum, Giza Pyramid site and Nile boat trip, Fahme took us to see Cairo old town sights which was an interesting experience.
