The trip of a lifetime!
If you have even the slightest inclination of seeing ancient artifacts and walking in the steps of a civilization from 6000 years ago, you should
definitely travel to Egypt! From the first step into the pyramids to the last step off the Aswan Nile boat ride our trip was simply amazing.
I had many reservations and concerns about safety while planning our visit to Egypt, especially due to planning it only a week before we departed. I was overly surprised that I felt completely safe during our stay and enjoyed my time even more than I imagined I would. Egypt Tailor Made’s guides made the history come to life and kept us on schedule to see everything we wanted to see, but never made us feel rushed. From tombs, to temples and pyramids to museums, we saw many of the popular sites and were able to customize the itinerary to fit our travel style. The scheduled 1.5-2 hour museum visit ended up lasting 3.5 due to our excitement about everything we were learning and our guide noting our interest in the museum.
Our time in Egypt has been one of our very favorite international trips and I would highly recommend it to everyone.
Egypt Tailor Made was quick to respond and plan our trip to Egypt only a week before our travel. We were able to add and subtract various sites from our itinerary to make sure that we were able to see everything that we wanted to see. We had read various online reviews in preparation for our trip trying to decide whether to use a tour guide or not, and after our experience we would highly recommend the guides. This helped us to appreciate the history and understand the sites we were visiting, as well as helped with avoiding tourist scams and navigating the tourism police.
While touring in Cairo, do yourself a favor and request Sabry as your tour guide and Mostafa as your driver. Sabry is truly so good at his job and is also the best photographer to snap the perfect photos at the pyramids. He made us feel even more excited about everything we were seeing and really goes above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience possible. Sabry was also open to explaining the Islamic faith and we had many great conversations during our drives between sites. Mostafa kept us safe amidst the crazy Cairo traffic and was very helpful with airport transfers, hotel drop off/pick up and managing our luggage.
In Luxor and Aswan we had Mohamed Soliman
as our guide and Mohammed as our driver. Mohamed Soliman was an excellent guide and is so knowledgeable about the history of ancient Egypt as well as reading hieroglyphics. He gave us space when we wanted to view things on our own and did a wonderful job giving perspective on not only ancient Egypt but present and recent past. No questions were off the table!
We were also lucky to have Ehmad in Luxor as our personal representative to assist us with hotel check in and searching out the best coffee shops and restaurants. Definitely gave us a great perspective and a warm welcome to his hometown.
I was hesitant to make the trip to Egypt but I am SO glad that we did. Visiting Egypt is the trip of a lifetime and my husband and I are so happy we had this great experience with Egypt Tailor Made.
On a side note, my husband and I are in our early thirties and hemmed and hawed over doing an overland tour Vs. a Nile cruise. Even though we have not done the Nile cruise, we think we made the right choice with the overland excursion. Many times we ran into big groups from the cruises as we were leaving sites or saw them exiting a site as we were arriving, and we were thankful to have a lot more intimate visits to some of the biggest attractions. I think this would only be possible having guides and drivers, but something to keep in mind for the young and adventurous. Driving through Egypt was an experience all on its own.

Egyptian Trip - Cairo & Luxor Private Guided Tours
ETM Tours did a great job helping us (family with 12 year old) organize our Egypt trip. They took care of every airport & hotel transfer as well as day tours both from Cairo & Luxor. Our Cairo & Luxor guides, Mona and Raina respectively, were very knowledgeable, patient and helpful in adapting to every request with asked for, besides from being very good photographers too! 😜 I strongly recommend getting guided tours in Egypt, since the language barrier makes it difficult to achieve simple tasks such as getting a taxi driver to understand where to take you. To all the ETM team, thanks again for a wonderful vacation.

Very nice time with Heba
Heba was our guide and she took great care of us, making sure we are happy old the time.
She is really kind and and sympathic and we truly enjoyed the time with her on the Giza pyramids tour.

2 Day Cairo Tour with Laila - the best guide!
We spent 2 days exploring Cairo with our tour guide Laila - she was so welcoming and shared wonderful entertaining stories with the kids. We saw the highlights of the Museum of Antiquities - The mummies and King Tut treasures are phenomenal! The passion with which Laila shared the history of various pieces just brought everything to life!
We also really enjoyed the Laila's recommendations on where to go in the El Khalili Bazaar - was a full sensory experience and a great place to pick up souvenirs.
The pyramids tour the following day was amazing. No words can really describe the awe you feel seeing the ancient wonders. Our family especially enjoyed the camel rides which Laila arranged, and also climbing inside the great pyramid was worth the extra admission fee.
I can't recommend Egypt Tailor Made enough - they really went out of their way to help ensure all of our logistics were smooth. Laila is a top notch guide and we really appreciate her expertise and care for the kids!

Fantastic guided trip
My husband and I booked a private half day pyramids and a full day Islamic Cairo, Egyptian museum and Khan el-Khalili bazaar all with the same guide Laila.
Laila is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I would highly recommend using her. She is very engaging when informing you about the history of what you are looking at. She also takes good care of you I was 18 weeks pregnant, she was always asking if I was ok or needed the toilet (which made me feel at ease). She even brought the baby a gift in the market. She brought us local snacks and took lots of pictures for us.
She gives you time to look around on your own.
We both felt very safe and had a fantastic trip! We will definitely be returning.

Excellent multiple pyramids day
Really enjoyed our daytrip to Dahshur, Memphis, Sakkara, and Giza with Mona and Muhammad, which was genuinely tailor made with the addition of Dahshur at our request. Mona was an excellent guide, friendly and welcoming, full of detailed, interesting information and well able to answer extra questions, Muhammad was a friendly, safe driver who knew the routes well, and both gave us all the time we needed to explore at leisure - couldn’t ask for more!

Ausgezeichnete Erfahrung mit Laila und Mostafa
Wir hatten zwei schöne Tage mit unserem Guide Laila und Fahrer Mostafa. Wir haben zwei private Touren gemacht: Ägyptisches Museum / Koptisches Kairo / Khan Elkhalili Baza und Pyramiden / Saqara / Dashur.
Laila war äußerst sachkundig, es war fantastisch, etwas über die Geschichte der Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erfahren, und bot durchgehend anregende und nachdenkliche Gespräche. Sie war sehr freundlich und geduldig mit unseren Fragen. Sie hat sich so gut um uns gekümmert.
Mostafa hat uns sicher und in Bewegung gehalten, sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Fahrer. Sehr stressfrei durch die belebten Straßen von Kairo navigiert.
Beide waren sehr nett und haben dafür gesorgt, dass wir unsere Zeit in Ägypten genossen haben. Wir bedauern nur, nicht länger zu bleiben und mehr Touren mit ihnen zu machen.
Kann es sehr empfehlen und bitte fordern Sie Laila und Mostafa an.

Laila und Mostafa waren großartig
Laila und Mostafa waren fantastisch! Laila war sehr sachkundig und beantwortete alle unsere Fragen zu den vielen historischen Fakten in Ägypten. Wir haben auch die private Tour durch das Ägyptische Museum / das koptische Kairo / Khan Elkhalili Baza und die Pyramiden / Saqara / Dashur gemacht. Sie waren sehr zuvorkommend und sorgten immer dafür, dass wir Wasser, Kaffee und ägyptische Snacks probierten, was wir sehr schätzten. Erstaunliche Touren
Wir haben drei Touren aus Kairo mit Egypt Tailor Made ausgewählt und sie waren wunderbar. Unsere Reiseleiterin Heba kommunizierte vor der Tour mit uns, um die Abholung zu koordinieren, und war jeden Tag pünktlich. Sie war immer angenehm in der Nähe, beantwortete eine ganze Reihe von Fragen einer Neunjährigen und hatte immer eine Antwort mit ausführlichen Erklärungen. Während der Touren kannte sie die besten Orte und navigierte ihre Tour so, dass große Gruppen vermieden wurden, damit wir Schlüsselbereiche besuchen konnten, ohne dass sich die große Menschenmenge versammelte. Es war offensichtlich, dass ihr ihre Arbeit Spaß machte und sie andere unterrichtete. Ihre Wissensbasis war riesig und sie kannte Informationen, die andere Reiseleiter nicht kannten und die sich neben uns befanden. Sie war auch sehr hilfsbereit. Sie machte Fotos, beobachtete unsere Sachen, empfahl ausgezeichnete Restaurants und half mit Verkäufern. Ich kann Heba nur wärmstens empfehlen und würde sie für zukünftige Reisen nach Kairo wieder nutzen. Der Transport von Egypt Tailor Made war erstklassig. Der Van war makellos, sah neu aus, roch gut und wir fühlten uns beim Fahrer immer sicher.
