Went on the cruise with Ahmed Sliem as our tour guide. It was a great experience and we had a lot of fun! Ahmed was very nice, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Having a tour guide made the experience very relaxing while still seeing and learning a lot. Thank you Ahmed!

This was my first time in Egypt. Im glad i booked this guided trip. Ahmed Sliem was our tour guide during the cruise. And he was great! He took care of us and gave us local recommendations and history. It was a fun, safe and educational experience. Seeing the temples and being in the Nile River was a magical experience. I recommend this trip.

Look no more for the best guide in Egypt! George was passionate, kind, punctual, and had a great sense of humor. He always had good suggestions for fun activities to do after our daily excursions and showed us an immersive experience in both Aswan and Luxor. We could not have asked for a better guide. The cruise staff were amiable and very professional. The dining options were always varied and delicious! All the archeological sites we visited were jaw-dropping, and we felt taken back into Ancient History. And we cannot forget to thank Hany for his responsive communication, flexibility, and wonderful service! The trip planning was seamless, and Hany made it stress-free and well-organized. From the outstanding drivers to the boat operators on the Feluccas to the carriage drivers, we were well taken care of. We encountered bad weather in Aswan, but George and Hany worked their magic to reschedule our flights and accommodate all activities the following day. We would recommend Luxor and Aswan Travel to anyone planning on visiting Egypt.

Our tour guide, Waleed Mourad, was outstanding. My niece and I could not have asked for a kinder, more knowledgeable guide than Waleed. An Egyptologist with 4 years of intensive study at university focusing on that topic, in addition to 4 years of law school, Waleed’s knowledge greatly enhanced and indeed truly made the trip an A plus experience. I have a background in ancient Egypt but his expertise truly expanded my own. As a lawyer myself, I greatly appreciate attention to detail and gaining insights that he provided. Additionally, over the 4 days of time, he took us to excellent places in Luxor and Aswan that truly gave us insight into the culture. We visited small restaurants on the Nile with great local food, visited with Nubians in villages, and experienced the culture. We highly recommend Waleed. He is also very generous with his time, and ensures that guests have breaks, get water often which is important in summer, and works with the best drivers and others to provide the best experience. Additionally, Hany, our contact at the travel agency, was very responsive. It is important to determine what level of cruise boat you wish to take and explore and obtain details about that to ensure no surprises there.

We booked our tour with viator, but chose this excursion because I had read such good things about Luxor and Aswan travel. Our guide, Ahmed Sliem, was so great. He took care of our every need! He worked with us to book any extra excursions we want and never pushed us to shop or buy anything. He took care of the little things (snacks, drinks, tips, etc) while we were with him so we didn’t have to stress. He even took my husband to get a haircut in Aswan! We were booked on the Princess Sarah, which was a standard cruise. The boat is older, but our room was clean and the staff was so nice. We honestly liked the look of the polished wood, classic. The food was good and varied the whole trip. I would definitely book with Luxor and Aswan again and recommend them to anyone!

Empezamos buscando información directo desde la página y nos puso en contacto con Hany, quien muy amablemente nos organizó todo de forma super sencilla y eficiente. La estancia en El Cairo fue muy completa e interesante, visitando todo por la mañana y con tiempo libre y de descanso por las tardes. La experiencia del crucero por el Nilo fue increíble, pudimos conocer y entender todo gracias a nuestro estupendo guía en español Ahmed, quien nos acompañó siempre, nos explicó todo perfectamente y nos ayudaba en compras y dudas. ¡El mejor, gracias! En general una experiencia inolvidable y totalmente recomendable sin duda.

English version I had always wanted to visit Egypt, so I searched for professional ferry intermediaries on Google. Most of them recommended a particular company. With a mix of excitement and nervousness, my college roommate and I embarked on our journey. We contacted Luxor & Aswan agency through WhatsApp and received the information of our ferry's guide, Waleed, a day before our arrival. On the first day, after arriving in Aswan, Waleed took us to the High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk, Philae Island, and Nubian Village. The next day, we woke up early to visit Abu Simbel and later went to the Temple of Kom Ombo. On the third day, Waleed advised against visiting the Temple of Edfu and suggested Medinet Habu in Luxor for the fourth day. However, we couldn't resist and secretly went to the Temple of Edfu on the third day, only to find it crowded with tourists. Waleed was right, and he had a good laugh at our expense. On the third day, we also visited the awe-inspiring Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. On the fourth day, we explored the Valley of the Kings, where one ticket allowed us to enter three tombs for free. Waleed's recommendations for the tombs were all great. We also asked Waleed to help us choose two additional paid sites, and one of his recommendations turned out to be excellent, but you'll have to ask Waleed personally to find out which one, haha. After concluding our visit to the Valley of the Kings, we went to Theban Necropolis in the afternoon and then visited Medinet Habu. Initially, we planned to visit Luxor Museum and wait for the 7 pm train. However, Waleed kindly offered to accompany us to the museum and the train station. On the fourth day, Waleed stayed with us the entire day until he saw us off on the train to Cairo. Waleed even went above and beyond, and his lips cracked and bled due to dehydration. We felt bad about it and gave him an extra tip. Even in Cairo, Waleed continued to check on us and our well-being. Luxor, being the former capital of ancient Egypt, has numerous ancient ruins and architectural wonders, similar to Kyoto in Japan. Waleed, being a local of Luxor, suggested that we could spend a few more days there. Personally, I felt that Luxor was a more relaxed and laid-back place compared to Cairo, with a slower pace. If I visit Egypt again in the future, I might consider spending a few more days in Luxor. Regarding our four-day Egypt ferry trip, we have high praise for Waleed: he provided detailed explanations without pressuring us to buy anything, and he also informed us in advance about appropriate tipping amounts, which we found reasonable. We booked this Nile Cruise quite last minute and this exceeded all of our expectations. Waleed was a GREAT guide + helped us with anything we needed. He contacted us right away on Whatsapp + was always easy to get ahold of + gave us great suggestions. We went to a different temple than everyone else + it ended up being one of our favorites + we had it all to ourselves. He had a great sense of a humor + had so much interesting information. He was the perfect guide!! We were on the Radamis which had recently been refurbished and it was perfect. The boat was nice, our cabins were beauitful + spacious. The staff was so kind + there were great chill out areas ( the upper deck, the lounge area). The meals were really good + the whole experience was so fun. It was the perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxing. I highly recommend this to anyone looking. You also can't beat the price!!

We were very impressed with the ship, our cabin, and the staff. The food was good and beautifully presented. All the excursions were amazing and well organized. My husband has kidney disease and had to have dialysis treatments during our vacation. The access to food was limited to the meals so if his blood sugar dropped nothing was available. We had to improvise and due to our wonderful tour guide it worked out. Communication was a problem. We never received a detailed itinerary so learned about things going on by word of mouth such as afternoon tea. The last one is the reason we gave 4 stars and we could not book with them again. Most things on the boat you can bill to your room but in the end cash is required for check out no credit cards. It hit our Egyptian money reserves. Never was on a cruise that didnt take credit cards. All the staff were friendly and helpful but had difficulty getting assistance from the reception desk. Took 2 days just to get the safe opened. Now to the best thing about the trip. It was Mr Ashor who adapted timetables, was flexible to make grocery stops, slowed down as we needed him to, and provided so much fun and education. He made it a custom experience for us and lasting memories. Please request him by name. He is an educated Egyptologist and made everything come alive rather than just viewing ruins.

Amazing tour starting in Aswan. Guide name was Mohamed and picked us up from hotel (Mainland dock actually because we stayed on the Island) and even helped us with baggage troubles at the airport, picking up the bags for us and having them there when we met him. The cruise was great with tours starting the first day and continuing through the trip. A great balance of downtime and fantastic temples, tombs, culture to see. The guides are also accommodating if you don't want to partake in some of the things. We stayed on the Esmeralda boat and it had clean, very spacious cabins, and good food. The Wifi was extremely subpar with a very confusing login process but we never dug too deep to remedy in and just elected to use some international data instead. The drinks are all extra, including water (other than the 2 provided in your room) which was annoying but luckily cheap with the Egyptian pound conversion being so low. Mohamed was the guide every traveler should dream to have. He was extremally knowledgeable, respectable, and accommodating. He added so much value to the tour without being intrusive whatsoever. His lectures on the material you see are long but so, so well done. He provides a true context for what you are about to see in the ancient Egyptian history. Mohamed was always willing to answer additional questions and being a local of Luxor added such a local flavor to the whole tour. Mohamed also was able to make key decisions about what to do or not do on the tour that made it so much more enjoyable for us versus other guests on the boat. He is so experienced that he recommended not to an early tour, and instead sleep in, to avoid a morning of tourists being shoved into a small temple with limited time for viewing. He also advised we go very early to Karnak temple one morning which led to us truly being one of the only people in the whole complex as it opened. A very special experience we will remember forever. This tour is a perfect way to experience upper egypt for any enthusiastic travelers. Mohamed, our guide, was one of one. A true master of a guide and someone I would recommend to anyone. He was also kind enough to offer additional guiding in Cairo and lower egypt as well.
