Private Full-Day Luxor Highlights – East & West Banks Start your day with a hotel in Luxor, where your expert guide will welcome you for a fully guided 7-hour tour in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. West Bank – The Necropolis of Thebes Valley of the Kings Your journey begins at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see, featuring elaborately decorated tombs that reveal the splendor of ancient Egyptian beliefs and artistry. During your visit, you’ll explore four royal tombs, including: The Tomb of Ramses IV – Famous for its vivid astronomical ceiling decorations. The Tomb of Ramses III – Featuring intricate wall reliefs and historical inscriptions. The Tomb of Merenptah – The grand burial site of Ramses II’s son. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut), known for its historical significance and the treasures it once held.

  2. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (KV62)
    15 دقيقة

Entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun (300.00 EGP) (optional) King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings

  3. Tomb of Ramses III
    15 دقيقة

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

  4. Tomb of Merenptah
    15 دقيقة

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

  5. Tomb of Ramses IV
    25 دقيقة

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

  6. Temple of Hatshepsut
    دقيقة

After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. This queen was an ancestor of King Tutankhamun and belonged to the same dynasty.Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh .

Luxor Ancient Egyptian Sites

Extraordinary private tour with Egyptian historian, Khalid, who was well spoken and extremely knowledgeable of ancient history, culture, and legendary stories. A remarkable full day visiting a variety of impressive world archeological historical sites with ease of access and transfer by private car and private boat saving time and offering a more enjoyable experience. Authentic Egyptian luncheon overlooking the Niles and sunset stroll at famous Luxor row of sphinxes.

Luxor tour

We took several tours in Egypt and this tour, guided by Mr Khalid was the best. He was the most knowledgeable and professional guide we had. We would highly recommend asking foe him by name if looking for a tour in Luxor.

Fantastic Guide for the Temples and Tombs of Luxor

There are a lot of companies out there that do roughly the same tour and it can be hard to pick between them. Pick this one. :) This is a private tour with your own driver and guide. While there is a set list of destinations, there was plenty of flexibility in how long we wanted to spend at each location. No rush, and no mob of strangers trying to follow the guide around. Our guide, Abdul, was fabulous. He was both knowledgeable and passionate about the sites and their history. He grew up in the area and shared so much information with us. The sites are absolutely incredible and it was wonderful having someone who could answer all of our random questions. There are very few signs to read at these sites so if you want to understand what you are looking at, you need to hire someone. It was such a neat experience to have Abdul explain the story behind the pictures on the walls, then go into tombs and find those exact pictures inside and understand their significance. The driver was safe. The van was clean (with seatbelts!). The lunch was amazing and at an excellent restaurant, Africa Garden. There was one shopping stop at an alabaster shop but no pressure to buy. We had a wonderful day and greatly appreciated our time with Abdul.

Spectacular sites

All sites were spectacular! Our guide provided the historical background which made the trip that much more meaningful. Strongly recommend this tour. Avoid anyone wanting to take your photo or provide you special access to areas.

Perfect day with Mahmoud Haggag

Yesterday my daughter and I had a very beautiful trip to the valley of kings with our professional guide Mahmoud. The tour was very impressing and Mahmoud explained all the history in a very, very good way. He took his time with us and we were very happy. We only can recommend this tour guide and we will keep the contact for the next time we come to Egypt. Very well organized and professionel.

An unforgettable experience

Rajab made our stay in Cairo unforgettable. Despite our tight schedule, he made sure that we could both do a luxor tour and hot air balloon before catching our bus! The food for lunch was delicious! Special mention for our afternoon guide Akhenaten, who gave us thourough explanations while visiting Karnak and Luxor temples Would definitely recommend them eyes closed !

A Highly Recommended 5 Star Experience.

This tour met and totally exceeded expectation. Our guide, Khalid Eltayeb, an Egyptologist graduate with a Masters Degree, is exceedingly knowledgeable. In fact, a walking encyclopaedia! He set the scene from the moment our tour began and we had context from which he gave us an abundance of information at each historical site. With an excellent command of English and storytelling skills Khalid was engaging throughout the entire day. Khalid was friendly but also very professional and struck a good balance in this respect. The air conditioned vehicle was very comfortable and much welcomed and our driver Ramadan, was very pleasant and helpful; also kindly buying water for us. Not only did we visit the designated sites but we enjoyed an amazing lunch at a local restaurant; an unexpected ride in a boat to cross the Nile and a visit to a family-run stone masonry business with a vast range of beautifully crafted ornaments. We had an amazing day and would definitely use Khalid again. Thank you!

Sites were great but not the guide

While I enjoyed the sites of interest and suggest touring these sites, I cannot promote this tour company or our tour guide, Rajab. We were led to expect a sunrise balloon ride, but were picked up late so we missed the sunrise. The other issues mostly had to do with the tour guide. Rajab explained the sites outside then he sent us inside alone to wonder through ourselves. The other tour guides accompanied their group to explain sites as people were seeing them rather than ask if we have questions after we returned from the sites. Also, our guide told us there was nothing to see in King Tut's tomb, but his mummy is there to see. I would have been so upset if I had missed seeing that. Honestly, we felt like the guide just didn't want to be there. He walked way ahead of us most of the time and was not personable like the other guides we had on other tours. They also charged us $20 each more than what is stated on the website for the balloon ride. So, see these sites, but try to get a better company and guide.
