Private Full-Day Luxor Highlights – East & West Banks Start your day with a hotel in Luxor, where your expert guide will welcome you for a fully guided 7-hour tour in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. West Bank – The Necropolis of Thebes Valley of the Kings Your journey begins at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see, featuring elaborately decorated tombs that reveal the splendor of ancient Egyptian beliefs and artistry. During your visit, you’ll explore four royal tombs, including: The Tomb of Ramses IV – Famous for its vivid astronomical ceiling decorations. The Tomb of Ramses III – Featuring intricate wall reliefs and historical inscriptions. The Tomb of Merenptah – The grand burial site of Ramses II’s son. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut), known for its historical significance and the treasures it once held.

  2. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (KV62)
    15 دقيقة

Entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun (300.00 EGP) (optional) King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings

  3. Tomb of Ramses III
    15 دقيقة

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

  4. Tomb of Merenptah
    15 دقيقة

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

  5. Tomb of Ramses IV
    25 دقيقة

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

  6. Temple of Hatshepsut
    دقيقة

After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. This queen was an ancestor of King Tutankhamun and belonged to the same dynasty.Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh .

agradable

Nos buscaron puntuales, ellos se comunicaron unos días antes para coordinar horario de encuentro. El guia muy agradable. Considero que quizás deberían dedicarle más tiempo para recorrer. En líneas generales muy bien.

THE perfect tour

THE Best tour, no doubt! Khalid our guide and our driver Ramadan where amazing. Everything on time, taking care of us. Khalid knows everything and more about the ancient Egyptians and has a special charm and ability to summarize thousands of years of history in the perfect way, knowing all the little spots and details and the best way to get us to places in less time, minimum cost, it was a PERFECT experience. The restaurant that he arranged for lunch was great too!

Great tour of Luxor & Karnak temples, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut

Amazing tour that covers all there is to see in Luxor (both the east and west bank). Our guide, Khalid, was very friendly, knowledgeable and made our stay in Luxor unforgettable. Highly recommend booking with them.

A must do!

Out of the tours we did throughout Alexandria, Cairo and Luxor…this was our favorite one! Abdul was phenomenal and very passionate about ancient history. This tour highlights all the MUST SEE historic locations in Luxor and also offers the option to do a hot air balloon early morning - do it! You won’t regret it! Highly recommend.

SPEECHLESS ❤️

Let me begin by saying that this was an incredible experience and I’m still speechless. I came with my husband and 8year old son and we learned a great deal about the ancient Egyptian culture far better than I could’ve ever imagined. I credit this to Khalid. He was INCREDIBLE! He’s so knowledgeable and very thoughtful about our needs for the day and also making sure we learned everything we possibly could! I wish we had more time here and we truly left a piece of our heart in Luxor. Please book this itinerary and ask for Khalid and Ramadan! They exceeded our expectations!

Excellent tour of east and West Bank historical sites

We were picked up at Luxor airport by Ahmeen and Ramadan our driver at 8am. Ahmeen is an experienced archeologist and had a wealth of knowledge about the Luxor temples, tombs and history. We drove to the East Bank and visited the Valley of the Kings, Ramesh iii, iv tombs and King Tutankhamen tomb. Truly spectacular to see. We then drove to Valley of the Queens and saw the Hatpetshut temple and Ahmeen explained the history and the symbols on the walls. We headed back to the East Bank and stopped for a local lunch which was delicious. Next stop was Karnak which is spectacular but it was oppressively hot (45C!) with all the stone radiating heat back upwards at us. We had a full day of sightseeing and were driven back to the airport on time for our Cairo flight home. Excellent tour and highly recommended.

WOW, what an experience and incredible day

THis was an amazing tour and experience. The entire day was full of history and it was awe inspiring to see the history and so much of Luxor. My favorite part was the food :-) Africa was one of the best meals I have ever had!!! We did not even need to order - we simply said we were vegetarians and were presented with a spread of 8 dishes made with love, flavor and Egyptian goodness. He made our day so delightful in every way!!!! I would absolutely do this tour again. I learned so much and felt the history deep inside mysoul. I will never forget this experience!! Thank you so much for making our tour so special!!!! We were treated so kindly and even got special gifts of which sit right next to me in my room every day!!

Amazing day!

Absolutely fantastic day. Abdul was wonderful from start to finish - knowledgable and clearly very passionate about the history of Egypt, as well as being charming and funny. Brilliant tours of each site, as well as leaving time for us to explore independently. Sorted out all ticket purchasing at each venue, organised a great lunch and boat trip from West Bank to East bank. Overall an absolutely fabulous day, would highly recommend!

Best luxor tour in one day

Abdul was a fantastic egyptologist and tour guide. He is very friendly and helpful taking us around Valley of the Kings, Hapshepsut temple, Luxor Temple and Karnak. There are a few additional costs as expected in the description (entrance to temples etc) but this was made clear and no surprises really. Abdul is clearly very passionate about egyptian history and he explains everything brilliantly. We had a fantastic day, thank you!
