After early morning pickup from your central Luxor hotel or cruise ship, travel by air-conditioned vehicle to the launch site on the west bank of the Nile River. On arrival, enjoy a light pre-flight snack and refreshments, and meet your expert pilot and ground crew. Next, listen to a comprehensive safety briefing and step inside the balloon’s sturdy basket with your pilot and several other passengers. Then, feel your adrenaline surge as the brightly colored balloon rises into the still-dark sky for your approximate 45 to 60-minute flight.

That was too kind.
I received an email the day before inquiring about the hotel where we were picked up and dropped off, and although I replied, there was no response, so on the day, we arrived 50 minutes late. In response, they apologized and changed our balloon from a 20-seater to a 2-seater. I'm very grateful for that. Thank you for giving me such a great memory.

Great trip over Luxor
This was an incredible adventure, helped in part by the excellent Hassan, who made for a fun and very helpful guide. Definitely worth booking if you have some spare time and so much cheaper than the ones organised by the cruise boats we had previously spent 4 nights on.

Balloon ride
We booked this ride as our Viking River boat balloon ride was sold out. They picked us up at the boat location and dropped us back off with no problems. Would recommend this tour

A bucket list entry
Exceeded all expectations. Once in a lifetime experience. The only improvement would have been a window for pickup time. Rather than bolting out the door when the driver arrived early at 4:15 instead of 4:30, communicating a 4:15-4:30a window would allow us to drink our already made and much-needed coffee 🥱☺️

Couldn’t happen
Unfortunately the experience was cancelled. We woke up at 3 am to attend and were waiting until 6 am for people to make a decision on whether the balloons could go ahead :(

An unforgettable experience
Captain Ali and guide Abdala gave us a great hot air balloon flight over the Nile River and the Valley of the Kings. A great experience.

Lovely balloon trip for Sunrise or close to sunrise! Fairly organized but take note of weather restrictions
Please note, this package is not exactly sunrise. Depending on the organisation and weather you may not be scheduled early enough to see the actual sunrise. At worst, you will be able to catch the morning sun 1 hour after sunrise timing. The tour vendor will arrange pickup from major hotels in Luxor, and bring you across the Nile via ferry boat -if you are residing on the east side. Followed by another trip via van to the take off location. For us, that was sufficient. The views offered was beautiful. The balloon will go up to 300 to 600 metres above ground and you will be able to view the surrounding farmland and temple of hatshepsut. Valley of the kings will not be visible as it is behind the the temple of hatshepsut. Overall the experience was good, I recommend it for anyone who is able to take a flexible timing balloon trip.

Spectacular
Beautiful, breathtaking, relaxing. At dawn the valley of the kings is especially splendor with all its colours. The only thing to remember is a hat, the flame of the hot air balloon on your head will burn! Well done Ali!
