We visited the GEM in mid-February, and it was the absolute highlight of our Cairo trip. The scale of the building is breathtaking—it’s like stepping into the future of history.
The Highlights:
Tutankhamun Galleries: Seeing the full collection of over 5,000 treasures in one place for the first time was mind-blowing. The golden mask and sarcophagi are displayed with incredible lighting that makes every detail pop.
Grand Staircase: Walking up the monumental staircase surrounded by massive pharaonic statues was an experience in itself. The way they are arranged to lead you through different eras of history is brilliant.
It is a masterpiece of ancient engineering and beautifully preserved.

Fantastic Egyptian Experience
My sister and I had a fantastic time Ike in Egypt with a most wonderful and knowledgeable private tour guide named Amr. He had great skills teaching about the history and could tie together the many sites on our tour. He was also thoughtful about the pace of each day, smiling and very kind. He is an amazing photographer and knows all the best shots. He made the pyramids, GEM and 4 days of all the top tourist sites come alive. Many thanks!

I was priviledged to experience Cairo Egypt with Amr Ahmed as a guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about Egyptian history and culture. The pace of the tour was great, allowing time to explore the various sites. He also was a great photographer, capturing photos of us at strategic locations of each site. I would highly recommend as a guide to enhance your Egyptian experience.

Highly recommended
Amr has been a very knowledgable guide to the history of Egypt. He took us to Giza and Saqqara and other very ancient pyramids. On the next day we visited Coptic Cairo. We were driven by a very competent driver arranged by Amr. We felt very safe with a very kind man.

Fabulous Experience
Spent two days with Amr. His English is very good. He’s reliable, charming, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Also excellent at taking photographs of us at all the main sites - he knows the best spots so you don’t have to find them. Very much good value for money.

Great Cairo experience!
my wife and I spent 3 days together with our tour guide “ Amr Ahmed “ in Cairo. He was very helpful, explained the appropriate information to the level we needed in excellent English. Provided a lot of local context about modern day Egypt as well when we were curious. Added bonus was photographer extraordinaire! Put us in the best spot for the best pictures every time. Highly recommended!

Seeing Cairo with a specialist
We made the full day tour with Amr Ahmed through old Cairo. Amr is a very knowledgeable guide, who explained all the visited sites with deep historic and cultural understanding. He is always friendly and very patient and doesn’t hurry you to the next place. He took a lot of beautiful photos from me and my wife showing a lot of creativity .At the end of the day he accompanied us to the Bazar and helped us to buy some presents . I appreciated a discussion that I had with him about some aspects of Egyptian history.
