You will be picked up from your hotel at approximately 7.00am (exact details will be confirmed locally) by an A/C van, then head to St. Catherine City on the 230 Kilometers drive of two and half hours. Inside the monastery you will see the Burning Bush, Moses well (where Moses met his wife) & the Transfiguration Church. Then you will take free time if you would like to climb up one of the surrounding mountains to take a panoramic view for the whole monastery.
Then you will drive back to Dahab City (Dahab is one of the beautiful cities in South Sinai, it is far from Sharm about 100 km) to take your lunch at a sea front restaurant and you will have the chance to do some shopping as Dahab is the biggest shopping area in South Sinai, where you will get the chance to purchase different kinds of souvenirs. Finally you will drive back to Sharm el-Sheikh.

During our stay in Sharm we chose the private tour to St. Catherine's Monastery. Accompanied by guide Nabil and driver Ahmed, we crossed the Sinai desert surrounded by mountains and ancient formations until we reached the Monastery. Nabil explained with great competence and precise historical references what was one of the most important testimonies not only of Christianity but of the three great monotheistic religions. From the well of Moses to the burning bush, the relics and the history of St. Catherine, in the work of preservation and safeguarding by the monks even the library, this place of faith has excited us. The visit continued in the city of Dahab where we had lunch in a beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea, and you could also see the coast of Saudi Arabia. Thank you Nabil for your professionalism and thank you Ahmed for the impeccable driving. You guys were perfect.

What an amazing and wonderful day! If you are staying in Sharm and wish to visit St Catherine’s Monastery then you really must book this. We were picked up from our hotel (it was an early start) and drove to St Catherine’s. Just the two of us with Nabil (our expert guide and an archaeologist) and Ahmed our driver. The visit to St Catherine’s was fantastic as was the lunch in Dahab (I have booked many tours with lunch included, in many places and this was without doubt the best I’ve ever had) There was time to ourselves to walk and shop before returning to Sharm. We booked this tour because we wanted to see the Monastery, Mount Sinai and the landscape but we got so much more. Not only was Nabil our guide so knowledgeable about where we were and what we were seeing (you could could ask any question and get an in depth expert answer) but he also taught us about Egypt generally, it’s people, culture, history and values. We cant recommend this experience highly enough.

We love this cultural journey through the Sinai desert, to the monastery of Santa Catarina. The Nabil is an excellent guide, quiet and with a lot of knowledge about history. We are pleased that you did not take us to tourist shops to buy useless things. We loved the tour and the guide. Finally, a word of appreciation for the driver, the best we have ever caught in Egypt.

It was an early start and a long drive but it was interesting to see some of the countryside and the drive through the mountains was pretty impressive. St Catherine's was definitely worth the drive and it wasn't too busy with other tourists so the early start was worth it. Lunch in Dahab was nice with the restaurant overlooking the sea. The food was OK and the shops were no different to other shops elsewhere in Sharm which were selling pretty much the same things. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of info about the history, the culture etc. All in all, a good trip and we are glad we went.

Lead by guide, Nabil, with our careful driver Abrahaim, this was a fantastic tour of St Catherine’s Monastery and Dahab. Nabil is very knowledgeable about the Sinai Peninsula, its history and its people; along with the monastery, its history and the artifacts in the transfiguration church, the library and the icon gallery. He is also patient, respectful and gives you enough time to view things on your own and help you take pictures, when allowed. You’ll also have a great lunch at Ali Baba in Dahab.

Excellent day trip. Great communication prior to the trip which included confirming the pick up point at hotel and what to bring (passport and given the starter 6.00am a breakfast box). Both the guide (Mohammed) and the driver were excellent . Ample stops en route which included one to have breakfast. St Catherine’s was wonderful to see . The icons and books were stunning (and well presented both in the church and the museum). The journey through the Red Sea Hills was very scenic. Lunch in Dahab was very pleasant sitting right by the sea. All in all a great day that was made even better by the informative and friendly guide and super safe driving by the driver.

An excellent day trip to St Catherine’s monastery. Great communication on where to meet and what to bring (breakfast box from the hotel to eat at a well appointed service station - welcome given the 6.00am start; passport for possible checks). Great guide (Mohammed) and driver (who was very safe driver , no speeding ). St Catherine’s was marvellous as a historical site (even if not a religious person). The ancient icons were stunning and well displayed . The church itself was feast of the senses- for the oldest church in constant use this is to be expected but has to be seen to be believed . Ample time to look around . The biblical story of the burning bush was well explained and the actual bush still in evidence. Scenic journey through the Red Sea hills was great as was lunch at Ali Baba’s restaurant in Dhahran. All in all a great day out . Our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting - lots of information on St Catherine’s of course but also on Sinai .

Guided tour with competence, kindness and education. Careful and cautious driver. The journey offers an extraordinary spectacle of nature and history, you visit a place full of charm and mystery, which leads to the contemplation of 'infinity. Definitely to recommend.

Highley recommend this Private tour Ahmed my driver was a very safe and careful professional driver for the whole day. The car was very comfortable and air conditioned. Mohammed my tour guide was very knowlagble and slowly walked me around all day at my own pace at no time did I feel rushed, explaining many things as we went along and very happy to answèr any questions I had and helped taking photos. The meal at Dhahb, Ali Baba Resteraunt was excellent the staff there were very attentive and made sure I had plenty to eat, the views over the sea towards Saudi Arabia were very relaxing. Advantages of a Private tour meant I was picked up on time I was kept upto date via whatsapp, you have the full attention of the tour guide, also getting into the monastry first before all the larger mini bus and coaches arrive was very advantageous.
