Enjoy a guided 2 day trip to Luxor from Safaga Port where you will visit the Luxor temple, Karnak temple, then check into a five-star hotel. Next day enjoy a tour to Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple, Colossi of Memnon then we drive you back to Safaga Port.
Day One: We pick you up from Safaga Port by the cruise exit door to Luxor by a modern A.C. car where you will meet your tour guide to start a guided tour to visit the East bank of Luxor : Karnak Temples No site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man and represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak is actually three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples situated on 247 acres of land. - Lunch will be served at an Egyptian restaurant then check in 5* hotel.
Evening time, we will pick you up one more to enjoy Luxor temple by night : The Temple of Luxor was the center of the most important festival, the festival of Opet. Built largely by Amenhotep III and Rameses II, the temple's purpose was as a setting for the rituals of the festival. The festival was to reconcile the human aspect of the ruler with the divine office. Then back to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day Two: After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel to visit the West bank of Luxor. Valley of the Kings: The final resting place of Egypt's rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasty, it is home to tombs including the great Pharaoh Ramses II and boy Pharaoh Tutankhamen. The tombs were well stocked with all the material goods a ruler might need in the next world. Most of the decoration inside the tombs still well preserved.
Hatshepsut Temple: It is one of the most beautiful & best-preserved of all of the temples of Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels with two wide ramps in a central position joining the levels together.
Colossi of Memnon: Two massive stone statues of the king Amenhotep III are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone which exist in Cairo then moved 700 KM to Luxor - Lunch will be served during the tour. As soon as you finish your tour, we will transfer you back to Safaga port.

It was such an amazing day despite the boiling hot weather!! Our guide Nermeen who is so friendly has been so helpful in letting us understand the history of Luxor with clear detail and enthusiasm. She clearly gives so much attention in relating to her customers! Definitely need to have her!

The temples of Luxor and Karnak demonstrate the wealth of the Egyptian empire. We were astonished to see how these huge blocks of stone were raised by the workers alone.

Our overnight Luxor trip out of Saffaga port was scheduled on time with no waiting time whatsoever. The tour was exceptionally guided by Hassan Ali Mohammed. All sites were escorted fully, and the restaurants were excellent. Our guide suggested a Hot Air Balloon that was not in our plans that turned out to be a major highlight of the visit. The driver was very good and always met us at the exit of all the sites. I highly recommend the tour and suggest the very knowledgeable, Mr. Hassan Ali Mohammed and his Driver.

Fantastic trip with our guide Manmoud Nour. He was very informed and passed the information on to us that had little knowledge about the area. The accommodations were great, staying in the Luxor palace hotel. The view of the Nile spectacular. The restaurant's top notch. Can't say enough about Manmoud, he was very attentive, flexible, and explained the sites to us in a way we understood in very good English. I would like to recommend him as a guide when ever your in the area.

We had the best 2 day trip in Luxor, seeing Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Hatshepsut’s Temple, and the Valley of the Kings. Our guide Mina was not only very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions, but very passionate and kind. We would all highly recommended this tour and our guide Nermeen, who made our trip an inspiring and unforgettable experience.

From Safaga we were picked up promptly by our driver Hasseim and after a knowledgeable drive from Safaga to Luxor met up with our guide Marian Boules. She was amazing and I want to thank both Marian and Egypt Portal Tours for an amazing taste of Egypt. Marian went out of her way to help us with some personal issues. Such lovely people. We stayed at the Steinberger Nile Palace hotel overnight and it was a lovely hotel. The Lebanese restaurant in this hotel is wonderful. We would love to visit again.

Our cruise ship docked in Safaga overnight and we chose an overnight tour to Luxor with Egypt Tours portal as a better value option to what or ship was offering (covering identical content). We also like the flexibility of having one's one car, driver and guide. We were really lucky to be assigned Nermeena as our guide; she was not only knowledgable about the history and cultural context of the sites we visited but was also able to talk with us about any other aspect of Egyptian life we raised and was very committed to us enjoying our short visit to Egypt. We are always concerned about food safety when we travel to exotic locations and Nermeena reassured us about the restaurants Egypt Tours had chosen for our 2 lunches and provided advice about where to dine at night. A bonus for us was an unplanned stop at a Papyrus workshop - this offered a really interesting demonstration of traditional papyrus making - much more interesting than we expected. We did encounter some issues during our tour, which were beyond the control of the Tour Company - always a possibility - but we were absolutely delighted by the support and assistance that Meena and her manager provided us. Thank you! We highly recommend Egypt Tour Portal's shore excursion as a more flexible and personalised, better value version of exactly the same sites your ship is likely to offer. our special thanks to Nermeena, whose knowledge, warmth and help made our 2 days in Luxor very special - we could not have had a better guide.

We felt very fortunate to have a guide as deeply knowledgeable and accommodating as Mohammed. He helped us have an unforgettable experience in Luxor! It was also terrific to have a driver so that we could do more in less time. Even the restaurants (4 meals included) were unique & special- no buffets! Highly recommended.

<p>This is an excellent way to see Luxor on an overnight trip which included in price an excellent hotel, breakfast and lunch and all admissions. Our shipped docked in Safari for an overnight stay, We were picked up promptly by driver, 3 hour drive to Luxor where we picked up English speaking guide who was very knowledgable. Guide took control of everything. No wasted time. Very knowledgable saw all the major sites including light show at night and two trips on the Nile. Pricing much more reasonable than offered by cruise line. Highly recommend.</p>

I hired Egypt Tours Portal over the internet. I read good recommendations on Trip Advisor and decided to take a chance. I would pay the guides on the day of the tours. It was a wonderful experience! In Luxor , we took the tours to the Valley of the Kings , the Queen , the temples of Luxor and Karnak . Right to a calamoco on the edge of the Nile. Our guide Abdellhman Ahmed Ali was extremely attentive and had absolute confidence in his explanations. Thank you Ahmed The other day , he accompanied us on a train , 1 class , included in the package , to Aswan and we visited the great dam of Aswan and the Temple of Philae where you can only get by boat . Wonderful walks it is worth phase them . .
