West Bank – The Necropolis of Thebes Valley of the Kings Your journey begins at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see, featuring elaborately decorated tombs that reveal the splendor of ancient Egyptian beliefs and artistry. During your visit, you’ll explore four royal tombs, including: The Tomb of Ramses IV – Famous for its vivid astronomical ceiling decorations. The Tomb of Ramses III – Featuring intricate wall reliefs and historical inscriptions. The Tomb of Merenptah – The grand burial site of Ramses II’s son. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut), known for its historical significance and the treasures it once held.
Entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun (300.00 EGP) (optional) King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings
The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’
In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .
The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.
After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. This queen was an ancestor of King Tutankhamun and belonged to the same dynasty.Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh .

Abdul was one of the best guides we had in Egypt with amazing knowledge of history. The only thing we would skip is the stone shop.

We had a tour with Abdul, which was truly fantastic. We saw amazing things and learned a lot. Abdul has an engaging way of presenting things that makes you understand what you see and thus become alive. The craftsman shop seemed to put on a show for tourists which we did not enjoy, but that was the only minor wrinkle for us. And of course different people have different tastes. Overall, we can wholeheartedly recommend. p.s.: do the valley of the scribes tour as well!

What an incredible experience to enter the Valley of the Kings and behold the majesty of both the Karnak and Luxor temples. The heat was amazing - exactly how we imagined Luxor in the early summer. Our guide, Ragab, and driver, Allam, took exceptional care to make our visit to the East and West banks of the Nile a rich and rewarding one! Lunch at a local restaurant was a delight. We highly recommend this tour.

Luxor was so much more than I expected. The historical significance of this place is so great. My experience was so wholesome. I planned to stay for 2 days in Luxor and made the most out of them as much as I could. My tour included visits to historical places from both East and West Bank and I found it to be sufficient to get a brief idea about the overall history and culture of the place. So if you are short of time, you can opt for these day tours and still make the most out of them. PS. Be careful while buying local cheap souvenirs as they aren’t authentic egyptian made. With that in mind, blend with the local culture and respect the traditions and support local community as much as possible. Happy Travelling 😊 cheers 🥂

This is a difficult review to write, as most of the tour was great, but unfortunately with one very bad experience. Our guide was definitely the best guide we had during our vacation in Egypt. He had a good energy, big knowledge, and he was very interesting to listen to. However, in the beginning the tour, we went to a shop where small stone figures were sold and it was clearly expected that we should buy something. Even though we asked several times abort the prices they wouldn’t tell us. It ended up being a very awkward and unpleasant situation where we felt fooled and compelled to pay extremely high prices for some figures that we didn’t actually wanted.

This is a must do once in a lifetime experience. Valley of Kings is incredible. You get entry to 3 tombs and our guide recommended Ramses I, Ramses III and Ramses IV, all of which were amazing. I also paid extra to go in SETI I tomb which I cannot recommend enough. This was the highlight of the tour for me. Karnak temple and Luxor temple are both incredible. You could spend a lot longer at both, particularly Karnak, but it still didn’t feel rushed. Lunch was very good on this tour. Our Egyptologist was very knowledgeable and made everything really interesting.

Wow, what can I say. After spending hours looking at tours and reading reviews, we finally settled on this one and specifically requested to have Abdul as our guide - we were not disappointed! The tour itself is fantastic and is a great way to see the mainstays of Luxor in a day. The variety in the sites included gives you a great taste of everything from ancient tombs and burial sites to some of the grandest temples you will ever see, and also a bit of local culture as well. Whilst the sites themselves were fantastic, our entire experience was made by having Abdul as our guide. Abdul is extremely knowledgeable about the sites and Egyptian history, he was attentive to all the (very many) questions we had - and, most importantly, he is super friendly and made sure we had everything to enjoy our trip. We cannot speak more highly of Abdul and this tour. If (and when) we come back, we will most certainly be looking Abdul up again!

When I say this was the best part of my time in Egypt I mean it. Such beauty, such culture, amazing people, and overall an amazing experience. Our tour guide was Abdul and he is very knowledgeable, he has the accreditation and such charisma. He was very friendly and had me engaged the whole tour. I came out very knowledgeable from this trip and honestly feels as if I met a new friend. Highly recommended
