Unexpected Jeep encounters in the red sea desert & sunset & meals under the stars
For the Service of Transportation, Tea Preparation in the Desert, Meal Under the Stars we give 5/5
For the driver who drove us, who prepared the tea, who loves his country, the desert, who protects the fauna and flora, who drives us all day we give 5/5, because this man touched us and greatly impressed us.
For the guide, who explained the desert, the life of the Bedouins, who secured the climb of the cliff, we give 3/5, because this person does not measure the difficulties that some people have to walk, climb, advance in dry heat (I am 61 years old, disabled moving with 1 cane, my husband is 58 years old and since his long covid does not have as much energy),.
The guide suggested we climb a cliff to see a cave and insisted on the feasibility of the thing. It was extremely hot, dry and I thought that halfway it could go down but the descent was even more difficult and dangerous because no support points or safety.
I was very afraid to see him climb this cliff, I had to put up with it... the guide waited for him, helped him, supported him but he should be more attentive to the physical state of people and ask himself the right questions, but also prevent difficulties to climb. Although my husband told me there were breaks, there were no harnesses, no safety, and no water for breaks.
While the small group of 3 people (31 years, 11 years, 58 years, + the guide climbed the slope, the 4th person of the group and I went around the mountain to recover the group at the top.
Thanks to the driver, we made several breaks and stops in the desert: near a dried-up well, under coral rocks and fossils, near a herd of camels, and a group of goats... when we met these animals, our driver would give them fruit, bottled water and ice water that melted in the cooler.
These encounters were unexpected, surreal and great. This driver a pro, a lover of nature who in addition to taking care of animals, collected garbage in all places of break (papers, plastics, ...).
Later as the sun set, we took a long walk on a dried-up oasis, dried up and walked for many more minutes through the reeds, irregular and degraded paths, not easy for me to access.
I listened once again to this guide which does not measure the difficulty of moving for PMRs in an arid, hostile environment.
So, because of this UNNECESSARY, complicated and long walk, we were on the wrong side of the slope to admire the sunset which was one of our requests, one of our criteria and we missed it to take photos and enjoy this expected moment.
We took the jeep back to a place in the desert, where a meal was waiting for us: the good surprise BUT ANOTHER OF OUR REQUESTS respected this one.
Carpets, large cushions, coffee table and candles surrounding our space.
Another space was also prepared for another group, but far enough away from ours to stay cool between us.
After this excellent meal prepared by Bedouins (chickens, kefta, salads,...), we put out the candles to enjoy the silence, the starry sky of thousands of stars...a beautiful way to end this day.

My family and I had a wonderful day exploring and learning about the Egyptian desert and valleys in Gouna thanks to Gazelle Desert tours. Our driver (Butrous) and our knowledgeable and well-spoken guide (Mostafa) made our 4x4 trip comfortable and extremely enjoyable. The authentic (and delicious!) Bedouin dinner under the stars was a true dream come true for us. Money and time well spent. We came as clients, and left as friends. Many thanks from our family. See you again in the future!

amazing private trip
Private trip do desert during all afternoon. We went from Hurghada, guide arrived earlier and waited for us. We went to Dry Canyon, walked, drank tea, saw panaromatic view to canyon, met sheep and camels, then walked in oasis and had tasty bbq dinner during sunset, looked at stars on sky and went back. Thanks a lot.

A once in a lifetime look into the harsh nature and history of the red sea desert with a touch of passion and ambition
We really loved the short and longer stops along the way. Treated with the utmost respect and hospitality by all the people involved, it was an adventure for all sorts of tourists thanks to a flexibel approach. Extremely pleased by the passion and knowledge that the leading guide radiated. He truly helped us soak in the culture with a to the point explanation of geological and nidmid (local population) history! I recommend you to take the afternoon option to enjoy a wonderfull barbecue and the chance of stargazing to finish this authentic quality jeep Safari!!! The only negative point I van make is the abscence of a vegetarian option because of malcommunication. That didn’t spoil the amazing afternoon we had together!! At the end of the day, we were lucky to be a part of this trip and return home with a beautifull Photo list!

Desert excursion, canyon, sunset at the oasis and then dinner by candlelight
Great time, driver and guide at the top!!! It's really Ze excursion to do 🙂 walk in the dry canyon , sunset from the oasis and to finish candlelight dinner . Really super awesome 🙂

Best way to experience the desert in Egypt!
We had the Safari tour through the desert with a sunset dinner. It was so magical! Mustafa is an excellent host to guide you. We had a great time! This is our highlight of our trip to Egypt. Definitely would recommend. 11/10

Amazing Day with Two Amazing Gentlemen
This tour with Mustafa and Tarek was a highlight of our time in Egypt. Mustafa was passionate about the desert and knew so much about it. He shared with us just how important this area is to him. His joy with the area was infectious.
Tarek was amazing with knowing where to go and how to get there. There are no roads. He just knew where to go. He has been driving in those mountains for 38 years and knows the area like the back of his hand. I say good thing, you could get very lost if you went on your own.
We saw many sights while in Egypt but this tour through the desert was what we found to be a touch of the Egypt we had been looking for. The memories we have from that adventure will be with us for a very long time. We were actually overwhelmed with all the things we experienced. We got to see sea shell fossils, we climbed the rocks to go into a cave, and we had tea under an acacia tree.
As we moved on we spent time on a plateau and watched the sun set. We saw camels with one baby camel grazing. We then came off the plateau and went into the mountains and Mustafa and Tarek barbecued dinner for us. We sat on pillows with a table between us while sitting on a rug. As we ate our dinner the stars came out.
Thank you Mustafa for such a wonderful day. It was perfect. We hope to be able to be back in Egypt some day and have the chance to do this again.

Just fantastic
A must if you want to experience the special. Desert is not equal to desert. A fantastic experience. Everything is well explained. Very interesting. And what you can discover there. The silence is incredible. The mountain landscape invites you to listen. We have booked here before and always feel safe. Keep it up.

Perfect desert tour in one afternoon
When Mustafa started with his performance and the tour plan in his voice on the bus, it already brought confidentiality and serenity to us. This mood continued until the end of the tour. The walks across the desert floor, the explanations in striking places, the snack on a spread cloth with Oriental spice coffee and delicious date chocolates, the small mountain hike to an overhanging rock with photo motifs were already unique experiences. However, they were topped with the ride up the plateau and the sunset then observed. We were very grateful at the end of the tour about the tip from a guest at the hotel and can only recommend the tour to anyone who wants to be led individually into the desert.
