Great experience, wish we had more time! Communication was fast and clear at all times. The owner was always making sure things were smooth and the way we expected. High light was the desert safari, great driver and really nice time. The town is lovely, the saltwater pools, the hot springs were all great as well. Looking forward to visit his campsite and spend the nights under the stars!

We booked 3 days in Siwa with the Luxury Tours Egypt and everything has been amazing. They took care of us from the first moment and in every situation. They took us to discover salt lakes, Cleopatra’s pool, desert, the Mountain of death and wonderful sunsets (the first in Siwa lake and the second in the desert). Our guide Khaled has been always kind, funny and a great travel buddy. Highly recommended!

This was definitely worth the three day commitment and many hours in the car! Siwa is an incredibly special and unique experience. The salt lakes are stunning, and the afternoon spent dunebashing, sandboarding, and watching a sunset in the sand dunes was my favorite part. You get to both enjoy some real serenity and unique natural formations, and get a huge adrenaline rush from the activities. The roads to/from Siwa are actually not that bad - the main highway from Cairo to Marsa Matrouh appears to have been recently renovated (and the rest stops/gas stations are also relatively new/well kept). We stayed at the Panta Lodge. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent and the rooms are clean. Some of the facilities are on the older side (my shower had a crack in the floor), but overall it was well maintained. They also have a beautiful pool and some wonderful campfires. Our guides Mahmoud and Eslam (brothers!) were super easygoing and flexible. They made sure everyone had a good experience. When I spotted a pottery studio on the side of the road, they made sure we drove back to actually take a look. They also took care of nice touches like providing fire roasted yams as a treat after dinner our first night. My only constructive criticism is that there could have been more clarity day to day on what the itinerary was and what we should bring/wear. For example, it would have been helpful to know before we headed to the salt lakes that it was a good idea to bring a towel and a change of shoes. Also, know that the hot spring is basically just an outdoor hot tub, and the swimming hole is a kind of murky pool in the center of a cul-de-sac. Overall though, I would really recommend this entire experience! Thank you to our guides for making it worth our while.

After the long crossing by minibus with lunch and a break for a walk at the seaside, 3 checkpoints, one of which with passport and baggage control - they explained to us that Siwa is 30km from Libya so to avoid crossings there are checks by the army in entry and exit from the area - we arrive at our destination, in time for sunset from the islet of Fatnas, with the sun disappearing over the water of the oasis and behind the desert dunes - this alone is worth the trip. Siwa is different from the other places we have been to Giza, Cairo and Luxor. Here for the first time since we arrived we didn't feel at the mercy of anyone who wanted to ask us for money. It's a rural village where people stop to talk and joke without insistence and therefore the whole experience is much more relaxed. The day starts with a tour of the mountain of the dead, a Ptolemy temple, and then a dip in the salt lake, salt pools with crystal clear water on the edge of the oasis. The whole area is thermal so we continued moving by tuk-tuk between several other baths, including Cleopatra's pool. After a jeep ride in the desert among dunes like they were roller coasters, we spent New Year's Eve in a tent in a camp with all the comforts. What made the difference with other tours was the local guide, Khaled Farmawy. He took care of everything and without seeming like a guide, rather like an Egyptian friend hanging out with you, open to explaining any cultural differences, joking and involving you without pressure, honest and prepared. Thanks to his constant and silent intermediation we never paid extra anywhere, except on our own initiative and we enjoyed our holiday.

The tour is fully packed of amazing views and excitements. The Mountain of the Dead, Salt Lake and Desert Safari are spectacular. The hotel is stunning and comfy for staying in. You can enjoy yourself in the all-inclusive tour. The tour guide, Eslam drove us from Cairo to Siwa and introduced us the geographical stories along the area. He is a caring, fun guy and a good photographer, you will not feel bored on car. He knows all the people in Siwa, he is one of the best guides you can meet.

Superb excursion, beautiful landscapes throughout, top accommodation. I loved the activity in the desert, it was a real eye-opener. Super friendly guide, we were in a small group, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I recommend this activity.

My friends and I were in Egypt for a week but the 3 days spent on this tour were easily the best of the whole trip. It is honestly difficult to properly describe but if sleeping under a desert sky, swimming in lakes hidden between sand dunes and exploring a 11th century Amazing fortress sounds good to you then this is the tour to pick! of course, most of the success of this tour really comes down to the people operating it. Tony was the perfect guide. Knowledgeable, personable and great at anticipating our needs, he was truly the reason the trip went so smoothly not to mention he’s a great photographer. I'd also like to take this chance to mention Mahmoud (who was our desert safari guide), he was absolutely hilarious and an excellent story teller. Islam who showed us around Siwa, knew so much about the city and community, and getting the historical context of the sites really Luxury Tours Egypt The best, highly recommended
