Join us on this tour if you're looking for authentic, home-cooked and street Egyptian food in two different neighborhoods in Cairo. The first area is West Elbalad,downtown Cairo where will be meeting and kicking off with some national drinks. A sense of home-cooked food prepared like Egyptian grandmothers used to cook everyday is so nice. The second area is the iconic of the local Cairo where you can explorer Cairo off beaten pavement, the real lives of people, tuk tuks and the local markets. A sandwich of taameya like typical Cairenes use instead of falafel and a plate of Koshary are authentic experiences between locals! 6+ stops will let your belly dance with the Egyptian food. There is no waste food on our journey, so if you can't finish your portion, vou can take the leftovers or leave it simply to any person in need on the streets. Can't wait and YALLA BINA!

Absolute Must Do

*What an absolutely amazing experience it was with Ahmed and Shorouk!! This couple became friends in the span of a couple of hours and saying bye was difficult. The authentic and interesting food was just the tip of the iceberg. To get to know about the land, people, culture of Egypt and to share notes on how similar or different we are as people was the highlight of this tour. My husband and I being vegetarians was carefully considered and accommodated. I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about doing it!!*

Food Tour - Cairo

Ahmed and Shorouk are amazing people. We loved meeting their family and exploring the city with them. I can’t recommend the experience enough. Taking the Cairo metro/subway is a must do. The subway is extremely safe and clean. The food, dessert, and coffee stops are well thought out.

Best experience to dive in egiptian culture

I went to Cairo by myself and Shorouk me and another solo traveling woman to some very different places to try street food, we were so excited because me at least i would never go to those places on my own but she knew exactly what to order so we could have a great experience in the city. I totally recomend to do this tour to really get inside Egiptian culture, Thanks my friend!

Memorable food walk at Egypt

Shorouk and her daughter Marym are a darling who took us to various local places in the downtown of Egypt that linger on our taste buds without any doubt. We loved the food walk, moreover Shorouk shared her experience and knowledge on the culture of different countries. A unique experience which everyone should try who is on trip to Egypt! Can’t miss food tour!

Yummy Food & Personal Stories!

Ahmed and Shorouk make a great team. They created a tour that allows guests to sample the best of authentic Egyptian cuisine while infusing the experience with rich storytelling about not only the history of the food but about Egypt’s history as well.

10/10 Best food tour in Egypt!!

If I could give this food tour 10/10 stars I would, cause that’s truly what I experienced with Shorouk and Ahmed. They are such sweet people just sharing their love of food with travelers alike. Getting a small taste of all the great Egyptian food really made me appreciate my time here in Egypt more.

Amazing

This was an incredible evening! I booked this for myself, my husband and my parents. We all LOVED the food tour and loved Shorouk! The food was incredible and we went to places we never would have tried and never would have known about. Shorouk provided us with an amazing background and she was so lovely and bubbly throughout we were all at ease and it was like being with a family member. This tour gave us a huge insight into Egyptian food and lifestyle and we would 100% recommend for everyone. Try and do it at the start of your trip as it will give you an indication to food you like and places to go!

Unforgettable Cairo Experience with Shorouk and Ahmed

Great tour!

Shorouk & Ahmed were incredible hosts. We ate so well and got a chance to visit new neighborhoods and take a subway! They are both incredibly knowledgeable, kind and fun. And very flexible, tailoring the experience to our family. Highly recommend for anyone coming to Cairo.
