A disillusionment
We spent too much time snorkeling and diving in the open sea. The guides gave no instructions about what we were seeing, where we were, etc. All the staff were very friendly and the boat was in excellent condition. Several people got nauseous because of the sea swell and because we were stopped in the same place for so long. The wind was so strong that one of our vests flew away and they charged us for that vest even though we were not at fault. One of our colleagues in the group is pregnant and couldn't enjoy almost any activity because they were advised not to snorkel. The journey to the white island after getting off the boat was painful because we had to swim against the current and then walk on pebbles, which was very painful. Once again, our pregnant friend could not enjoy this activity because she was advised not to go, but when they advised her to rent a vest, they didn't tell her anything about it not being advisable to enjoy the activities. We were disappointed with Ras Mohamed park because we only spent time in the sea and from what we saw there was something on land too, the trip to White Island was painful and they didn't let us go to the white sand area. They should put that it is not advisable for pregnant women and that the ideal is for them to bring foot protection so they can access White Island without suffering.

Boat trip

I’m having a hard time...
I’m having a hard time writing this review because it is very 50/50. The views you get at these snorkeling stops and just on the boat are amazing. The driver was right on time when picking us up. When we arrived at the marina it was a bit chaotic. We would watch everyone around get on and we probably had to wait 30-45 mins just to board. If you have been to Egypt before, you know that they are big on tips and try to upcharge everything/anything. It was our first time diving and we were charged $50 per person for 20 minute dive. My understanding is if you choose the dive option online it’s only like an additional $20. The food was great! The boat is extremely slow. It’s probably almost a 2 hr ride from the last stop back to the marina. And as always, you have to bargain. We were offered the diving pictures for $50 per person that included 10 photos each and a video. Eventually we ended up getting them for $60 for 2 people total. Next is the pictures they take on board. There was 120 pictures he took and asked for $100. Eventually also ended up getting those down to $50. Still seems expensive. They will sit you down and force you to leave a review but I had to come back and say a few more things. This one might be a stretch but everyone gets off the boats to snorkel and the employees stay behind so your belongings are unattended. 2 days later I realized I was missing $500 from my wallet. Thinking back this was the only time on the entire trip that our belongings were unattended. Could have happened anywhere but just be cautious, we clearly weren’t. It will be a good time but like anywhere else in Egypt just pay close attention and Bargain!

Expert and very professional
Very good experience, not very crowded, snorkelling instructor very professional and expert, went in water with our 3 years old daughter and felt really safe, really raccomandare.
