  3. Tomb of Ramses III
    15 minute

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

  4. Tomb of Merenptah
    15 minute

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

  5. Tomb of Ramses IV
    25 de minute

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

Abdul is the best!

Our host was Abdul, and he was incredible. Attentive, considerate, knowledgeable, and an excellent storyteller. He took us to the best sites in West and East bank of Luxor, accompanied with a detailed piece of history or narrative, which made the location all that more special. He was extremely professional, but simultaneously, personable. By the end of the day, a friend was made. I highly recommend!

Amazing! 100% would recommend. Khalid and his driver were great!

Khalid was amazing! Great service from start to end. His knowledge was unbelievable - there wasn't a question that we asked that he wasn't able to answer (and we asked aot!!). His English was perfect, and he was also able to translate the hieroglyphics. Of my 5 days in Egypt so far, I have been quad biking, camel riding, scuba diving, hot air-ballooning, but this tour was my favourite. Luxour has so much history and culture it blows my mind. Having a tour guide definitely made this experience a million times better

Great tour experience with expert guide!

We had Khaled as our tour guide and he did an amazing job. He was super knowledgeable about all the sites and told us stories that brought everything to life. Great explanation of all the tombs, statues and how they built. And had answers for all our questions! My favourite site by far was Karnak temple, which he explained the history of very well. We were able visit all the sites we wanted, with plenty of time to explore and great timings (very few ppl at each site). The included lunch was also great. We had bigger portions of food at other locations, but the quality at the restaurant we went to best out all the ones we had tried so far. Would highly recommend this tour!

Thank you to Abdul

We were lucky enough to be guided by the wonderful Abdul, a passionate guide who kept us dreaming from start to finish. We were captivated by his anecdotes and stories, all with a great deal of humor and thoughtfulness on his part. The different steps of the tour were sublime, each more beautiful than the last, and the restaurant at lunchtime was fabulous. We highly recommend choosing Abdul as your guide, as you'll be dazzled by the beauty of Egypt and its history with complete trust. Charlotte & Alexandre

AMAZING DAY

A fantastic experience, our tour guide Ameen, top guy, everything was neatly arranged and well prepared. We had already bought tickets for the tomb for Tu Tan Chamon, which we only had to buy from him if we felt the need. Enough knowledge of the area and took us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch. Even had the opportunity to make extra stops, had a great day! Value for your money !
